Chapter 5: ch 4

I opened my eyes to an oddly familiar field. Finding myself gazing at the dilapidated oak and old graves, I gasped as the memory danced through my head.

The weather was foggy as the cold winds blew frigidly on my skin.

The ironically bright grass was the only thing that was alive in this place.

How weird...

The first thing to reminisce on was as Amy remembered her town's cemetery.

It was old and creepy looking even though it was actually a pet cemetery as the years went people were buried here anyway.

it's not an understatement to say she hated it here.

She didn't like the idea of death anyway.

Now that I thought of it....

It was weird that herself, Momiji, was so willing to accept the idea even though Amy and her were the same person.

As I finished thinking by myself,I decided to walk around the crappy familiar path remembering the past.

This place was a sore spot. No matter what or who died I never liked getting to go here.

I who lived mediocrely without much struggle near completely in average uneventful safety simply ignored it whenever I faced something I didn't like.

That is until I got bored of it but I didn't exactly have much of a way out so I continued life like that despite wishing I could change something.

I should have continued that cycle but as I biked going to meet up with my best friend already waiting for me, my bike slipped on the ice and shattered my skull.

An honestly horrifyingly pathetic and unexpected way to die.

Looking around trying to convince myself to be amused pretending the damned place was atleast as pleasant as a park, all I found was more stone tombs.

That's when I realized I was walking in circles bringing shivers to my already trembling spine.

Finding my eyes on another pathway past the trees the only place I didn't go yet, I sighed trying to calm myself down.

Interestingly enough, my surroundings changed.

Don't get me wrong the whole atmosphere was still gloomy as greyscale as well dammit but there we'rent anymore tombs.

That's a start.

Although I couldn't really help but wonder if this is will turn out like a bad horror movie with this ending up being a trap.

Either way better than going in circles.

If it's like that rather than dying to walking around for an eternity in a slow one, it's better to have a fast one...

Lost in my thoughts, an odd sensation shook my core as I looked to a space outside the path. I found myself unable to look away as I went offpath.

This place was even odder...

The pet cemetery was clean. This on the other hand looked like a junk yard but in closer inspection this wasn't trash at all.

They looked a bit dirty with the soil but they were in fine condition that if someone picked them up and washed them they'd be good for use.

And not only that... it all looked familiar..

Eyes on a dusty bright yellow and pink punk notebook I picked it up from the ground wiping it with my clothes.

'AmY Diary (NO TouCH)'

It read as I felt horror and melancholy rise in my chest in a chaotic storm.

The reality settled in.

These were all my stuff...

Amy's stuff...

Notebooks..... shoes....even old socks...

These were all what I left behind...

Gazing around frantically as the panick began to surge my veins, I found myself grabbing everything I could as tears began to flow.

But I couldn't carry them all...

When I was about to drop everything desperately on my hold, I found a familiar book laying on the ground.

Everything fell off of my hands.

'Jujutsu Kaisen'

The book's cover page read.

Looking at it as my thoughts rampaged through my head, I laughed patheticly at myself.

Whilst in the mixture of laughing from despair and crying from remembering those things, I found myself somewhere different.

Surrounded by my stuff was a big stone, as I saw it horror filled my lungs as I heard my mind silently scream.

'Amy Reyes(2005-2020)'

'Will be missed dearly'

It was a grave with a name I knew all too well.

I felt my mind go quiet as everything went blank almost as if an abyss sucked everything inside me.

Eyes on my hands, they were trembling as I saw myself breath hitched as I felt my nerves tremor as my body twisted and fell to the cold soil.

I was wrong....

Even now I can't face the idea of death at all..

As the sensation from that day came back to me, I shook.

The feeling of life leaving you slowly as you can neither process pain or the fact that it's getting harder to breathe as you slowly suffocate yourself wasn't a pleasant memory to be unable to forget.

When I ran across the halls as the curses wreaked havoc across the halls, I felt the same sensation from my crows.

Back then I didn't bother because of the adrenaline of not wanting to die just yet myself coursing but now it's kicking in.

******

Momiji Zenin realized one thing at that moment....

..She had no capacity to simply want to die..

She didn't want to die..

At all that is...

She already experienced how it felt like and she only had one review...

She hated it more than anything she's ever hated in her life.

With that realization wreaking havoc in her, she awoke...

*******

I opened my eyes in a surging panick as I found a warm hand on my arm.

"Oh good you're awake!"

A figure of a young man beamed at me as his dark hair was illuminated under the bit of moonlight in the cracks of the damaged hall in a form I could compare to a mushroom cut.

"I can't do reverse technique like Ieri so I had to use the normal way of patching you up. Good thing it worked! I don't even have much skill in that either!"

He said as he held a bloody ripped cloth as I noticed the exposed skin from the rip on his shirt.

"Haibara! get the kid out of here! If she stays here she'll hold us back! Hurry I need your help here!"

Another man said as I found myself looking at the curse that nearly took my life.

I gasped as I put my cold paling hand on my face.

I felt my emotions run amuck as I reminisceced on that dream I had earlier.

The cold trembling of my nerves tremored as everything I just experienced blasted a sense of trauma as I felt a few raindrops in my eyes.

But this time oddly enough it wasn't despair...

I was far too tired of all that.

My veins shook at the feeling of cold lifelessly focused-...

Rage.

To the dammit curse who nearly made me experience that again...

That feeling of watching yourself turn to dust as you shut down...

The frigid sensations wisping around me peaked as my senses linking me to my crows heightened like a skytower.

At this moment I felt like I was a thousand Crows as I felt their every breaths one within mine as their veins pumped with my cursed energy wavering around me.

One with the sensation similar to cold air condensing into malleable water rushing through my veins in the same way as those crows.

Ignoring the pain still raging in my head and the searing pain on my twisted legs already numbing my body with the blood loss, I shoved the man's hand harshly off my arm as I reached for the sight of the curse.

The crows one with my vision and mind began to caw sensing my boiling rage.

"DAMNED YOU!!-"

I screamed in full blazing wrath as the sensation of cursed energy exploded feeding off of it like fire to old dry wood overheating with gasoline.

Crows filled the halls reflecting far worse animosity than before as dozens to hundreds of murders flew in an unbridled rage resembling my own.

DON'T YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS LIKE!?!!

FEELING YOUR BODY SHUT DOWN BY ITSELF AGAINST YOUR CONTROL!??!!

WHY DON'T YOU TRY IT!?!

My crows stormed in a furious hurricane in a unison almost as if they were my own hands.

They felt as so..

The curse started struggling to push back even with its size like a lonely tower against an army equivalent to a nation.

But that isn't enough, the sensation of cursed anger still blizzarding in my mind down to my nerves near to the point of burning in its cold.

As I felt the trickle of pain through our bond as one of the crows raging at the curse was severely wounded, a freezing sensation flooded my body as the cursed energy hovered at what seems to be a tight chain holding me and them together.

Despite the pain, I limped towards the curse as it flung the wounded crow now nearly dying before my feet.

The frigid and dim feel of cursed energy blazed as it floated around the air consuming my boiling anger but as a sensation lurking at the depths scratched at my nerves I held the bleeding crow in my hands.

Through it I sensed the bond surging within the other crows as if they were a part of my own body with the beating chains sealing our breaths together like an extension of one another.

Cursed energy resonated through us..

They violently rampaged on the curse but then finally the itching sensation of horrendous fury was met as I felt the seeping sensation of the curse's cursed energy bind with my mine that was one within the crows.

The feeling was as if I was holding it in my hands just like the bleeding crow in my hands.

If only they could switch, then I could crush the damn thing mercilessly in my hands...

In a peculiar feeling, the cursed energy on the dying crow and the curse resonated like a focused vow as if the curse could feel the same pain and sensation of being one with it as well.

My anger resurface violently as I felt as if the curse was finally bleeding helplessly in my hands.

As I tightened my grip on the crow, I gazed at the curse as its big red eyes trembled feeling the choking hold as if it was one with the crow.

Looking at it with an angry blank face, I felt my lips rise sadistically as I crushed the ailing crow in my hand as the cursed energy exploded through the resonating bond...

The curse twisted in the same way as the crow crushed in my hands bleeding and bones damaged beyond relief in my grip.

I heard a crunch as my cruel grueling joy and satisfaction surged as the curse screamed in absolute horror and pain just like I once did.

In a final crackle as the crow scrunched violently in my grip, the curse did so in the same manner as it bled and the cursed energy booming through the halls as it wailed its ending sound in bone wrenching pain.

I lost consciousness then after as exhaustion pushed back with force not knowing exactly what I even did through that moment of unconscious blazing rage filled adrenaline.

****

"Gah-!"

Haibara blurted out as the winds ran forcefully through the halls making him tumble over as several crows entered enraged and from what he could sense boiling cursed energy fed by anger emanating from the seemingly defenseless little girl.

Her eyes gazed without a hint of life in them but only rage burning through every nerve of her body as her dark green messy hair waved in the surging winds.

Unusual as it was...

The girl looked frightening as the dark omens of death ran amuck at the tips of her reach.

She truly looked like...

Despite that small form..

A lady of death...

The curse was crushed in a way he could only compare to a child smashing dough in harsh uncaring-ness...

As the booming cursed energy exploded in a forceful wind as the curse screamed in agony splatting like an ant one had too much fun with.

The other sorcerer gazed in surprise at the child's wide wild eyes smiling sadistically at the curses agony as she fell to the floor unconscious.

Haah....the clan sorcerers really are a different breed...

He sighed under his breath finally free from the heavy atmosphere the now unconscious girl emanated as he himself laid down on the floor.

From afar he looked at his colleague gazing in shock.

They would have been able to exorcise the curse themselves and his partner was close to striking it down soon with his help...but..

They didn't expect the child to suddenly attack with such frightening force at that...to the point that as if the curse exploded before their eyes...

Though he knew his partner seemed to be rather unhappy about the curses smashed tomato like remains on his body head to toe.

Had he not been exhausted maybe... he himself would laugh...at the other's expense..
