Chapter 42: Aura Michibane VS The God of the Sword (2)

The moment Aura's final words dissipated into the thin air, an electric tension reverberated throughout the sky, signaling the eruption of a colossal battle.

Nimaiya Oetsu, the God of the Sword, and Aura Michibane, the Fullbringer with the Soul King's spiritual chain within her, had commenced their clash, each of them armed with their own unique arsenal of abilities and powered by an overwhelming spiritual pressure that could shake the very foundation of the Soul Society.

As one of the most powerful beings in the universe, Nimaiya's strength was unparalleled. The sheer magnitude of his Reiatsu made even the most advanced Zanpakuto pale in comparison.

He wielded his natural spiritual power like a devastating weapon, his body radiating an intense spiritual pressure that threatened to tear apart the very fabric of the Soul Society.

His Shunpo, the high-speed movement technique, was incomparable, allowing him to move at a speed that seemed to warp the space around him.

Nimaiya's Zanjutsu, the art of the sword, was a sight to behold, it was so advanced that he had long forsaken his own unique Shikai and Bankai thinking that it would only drag him down.

Each of his strikes, swift and precise, seemed to rip through the air, leaving behind a trail of high-density reishi.

Every slash he made in the air had an after-effect: the friction between his Zanpakuto and the surrounding reishi produced an enormous blade of pure spiritual energy that hurtled Aura.

It felt as if he was cutting through the very essence of existence, slicing through anything and everything that stood in his path.

Meanwhile, throughout the intense battle, Aura first showcased and tapped into her control over one fundamental aspect of the universe – light.

Exercising her Fullbring ability, she manipulated the soul of light, slowly mastering it, during this battle for the first time, as if it were a mere extension of herself.

This allowed her to blend with the backdrop, becoming nearly invisible to the naked eye, complicating Nimaiya's task of tracking her.

This control over light also gave her an edge in her offense; she could concentrate it into beams that shot toward Nimaiya with blinding speed and intensity, creating a spectacle of luminous chaos amidst the clashing powers.

But Aura's control over light was not merely confined to physical manipulation. She mastered its essence, distorting its wavelengths to project illusions, casting multiple images of herself or of her own usual various attacks, made from souls of other matter around, that she run at the same time which all confounded Nimaiya, creating a battlefield of illusion and reality where every movement, and every action required calculated judgment and discernment.

As Aura manipulated light, it made her form flicker like an ethereal specter amidst the already swirling wind, flame, and water as well. Her illusions, woven from threads of light, danced amidst the carnage, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that was as beautiful as it was deadly.

She could twist the light around her, bending it to her will to cloak herself in invisibility or refract it to blind her opponent momentarily, giving her an opportunity to strike.

Moreover, she could combine it with sound to create realistic illusions, creating a full sensory deception that could disorient even the most experienced of warriors.

Moreover, Aura's manipulation of the atmosphere simultaneously around her went far beyond the control of often intangible light, creating formidable attacks and effects made of lava, water in various states, and wind.

Through her Fullbring, she could agitate the molecules of moisture in the air, causing them to heat up rapidly and form jets of molten lava. These streams of lava would cut across the sky, leaving trails of incandescent light in their wake.

They moved unpredictably, twisting and turning in mid-air under Aura's precise control. When directed at Nimaiya, these jets of molten rock forced him to change his trajectory constantly, turning their aerial battle into a deadly dance of fire and movement.

Just as effortlessly, Aura could cool the moisture in the air, transforming it into massive dragons of water, ice or even steam. These colossal serpents, made entirely of water elements in different states, roared across the battlefield, often crashing into Nimaiya like an unforgiving tidal wave and slowing him down and bringing even more chaos into his state.

And each time he sliced through them, they would simply reform, their water bodies mending themselves under Aura's influence. This power over water, paired with her control of flames and lava, made her a versatile and unpredictable opponent, capable of rapid shifts in attack styles.

However, Aura's command of wind was equally formidable and one of the most important in this battle, she turned on right at the beginning seconds of it, it was also her most instinctive ability. She treated the air around her as though it were a vast ocean and she, its masterful puppeteer.

Using the wind, Aura could accelerate her movements, matching Nimaiya's otherworldly Shunpo, or else she would've been long cut before she could respond, probably right after the battle started. With each gust of wind, she summoned, she weaved through the air with the grace of a leaf dancing in a breeze, making her a way more elusive target for Nimaiya.

But she also used the wind to form attacks, condensing the air into razor-sharp projectiles that shot toward Nimaiya like invisible bullets. This constant barrage from all directions kept Nimaiya on his toes, pushing his Zanjutsu mastery to its limits as he parried and deflected.

Nevertheless, Aura's control over the battlefield still did not end with the elements, wind, or light. Her mastery of Fullbring extended to her own body, her own existence. She exerted control over the very blood that coursed through her veins and the bones that gave her form.

With a single thought, she could manipulate her own blood, commanding it to erupt from her body and forming colossal tentacles that filled the sky. Each appendage moved as if it had a mind of its own, whipping and lashing out, seeking to ensnare and strangle Nimaiya.

The blood tentacles had an eerie, dark-red glow about them, an uncanny, gruesome sight that contrasted the bright light she manipulated.

Aura's bone manipulation was equally terrifying. Bones erupted from her body, twisting and growing into enormous dragon-like figures that took flight alongside her.

They circled the battlefield like grotesque vultures, each one a testament to her formidable control over her own being. The bone dragons were formidable opponents, their jaws snapping and tails slashing, adding to the hellish scene of their aerial combat.

Equally formidable was Aura's manipulation of sound. Using her Fullbring powers, she could control the soul of sound waves. At her command, the air would fall into an eerie silence, muting even the most deafening of clashes between her and Nimaiya.

This uncanny control created an unsettling disconnect between the visual chaos and the auditory calm, disrupting Nimaiya's sense of reality.

At other times, Aura would amplify sounds to an unbearable degree, generating sonic booms that reverberated across the battlefield. These shockwaves had the power to rupture eardrums, creating an onslaught of noise that was as physical as it was auditory.

Every fiber of her being was a weapon, every sounds a potential attack, and every drop of blood a potential soldier in her macabre army, making her an adversary like no other Nimaiya had ever faced.
