The moment Dominic saw the Russians emerge, he ducked down behind Kyle, holding him pressed against the railing in front of him by the collar, his gun jabbed in the back of Kyle's head.

"Stay back!" he bellowed. "Stay back, or I swear I'll blow his head off!" Any trace of cockiness or self-assurance had fled. Dominic had been working with the 'Ndrangheta, he had to know about Sergei by reputation. He knew what was in store if Sergei got ahold of him. Already furious to see his plans crumble, Dominic was now appropriately terrified, and that made him dangerous and unpredictable.
