Chapter 2: Sefli Of The Unknown

Opening his eyes, Aiden saw himself in a white temple.

He didn't know how he got there exactly. Perhaps, he was dreaming. But still, Aiden couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the temple.

The white temple had smooth marble floors, with tall arched windows, which allowed sunlight to filter through, casting a soft glow that danced upon the glistening white walls. Elaborate floral motifs and delicate geometric patterns, were meticulously carved into the white walls, adding an exquisite touch to the temple's interior.

As Aiden's gaze ascended, he saw a magnificent vaulted ceiling, adorned with intricate, celestial-inspired paintings depicting celestial beings. Of course he knew nothing about those beings, but still the paintings were so elegant, and beautifully made.

Standing in the middle of this white temple was a stone altar. And surrounding that altar, were seven ethereal tall statues. As Aiden looked at the statues, an elegant beauty, suddenly appeared through a mirage of white sparks.

Seeing this lady of exceptional beauty, Aiden was quite captivated. And due to her presence, the white temple suddenly appeared more elegant, and pristine.

She had a flawless smooth skin, that was snow white as alabaster. Her crimson eyes sparkled like diamonds, and her black hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, each strand perfectly placed.

With a curvaceous figure, that was further accentuated by a graceful black dress, the lady looked at Aiden, and said with a pleasant voice,

"Welcome, otherworlder to the world of Angtrorse. I am Sefli of the unknown."

Looking at the lady, who called herself the Sefli of the unknown, Aiden was confused.

'Is this really a dream?' He asked himself.

Still unsure, and not knowing what to do, Aiden replied,

"…Ummm, hello. My name is Aiden."

"Aiden, just like the rest of the otherworlders, you were summoned here for a purpose. And your purpose is to destroy this world. In order to achieve that purpose, I am willing to offer my magic. But beware; to accept my magic, you have to accept my curse as well. So, what will it be?" Asked Sefli of the unknown.

'Wait a minute… She called me an otherworlder, and said that I've been summoned to destroy this world. Plus, she's willing to grant me her magic… Maybe I'm really dreaming. But then again, what if this isn't a dream? H-have I really been summoned to another world?!' Aiden thoughtfully asked himself with excitement.

He looked at the beautiful lady in black, and thought,

'Really this is too good to be true. But if this is something out of the ordinary, then this is exactly what I've always wanted. However, I have to calm down and think things through with a clear head. Who summoned me? And why do I have to destroy this world?'

"Who summoned me to this world?" Aiden asked.

"You were summoned to this world by the invisible strings of fate. Along with the will of the unknown." Sefli replied.

'The strings of fate, along with the will of the unknown? huh… that's really confusing.'

With a thoughtful expression, Aiden asked once again,

"Earlier, you said that you were willing to grant me your magic, but accepting your magic means that I will have to accept your curse. What do you mean by that?"

"My magic was given the cruel curse of debt. And through that curse, my once powerful magic is now vulnerable. Still, in other to achieve your purpose, my magic is needed. So you simply have to make a choice. Will you accept my magic or not?"

After hearing that, Aiden simply sighed and said,

"I don't think I'll be able to make that choice."

"And why won't you? If I may ask."

"That's because I'm so freaking confused. I barely even understand a word you say." Aiden replied.

"My apologies. It appears I've used the wrong approach. In that case, I'll allow you to experience this world. And in three days time, we'll have this conversation again. But first, I'm going to bestow upon you, a perk for otherworlders. A magical glyph that will help you understand the language of this world." Sefli said, as she walked forward, and placed her hand on Aiden's forehead.

As Aiden felt her soft but cold touch, Sefli said,

"This glyph will also act as a personal guide, to help you interact and adjust better with the world around you."

And as she said that, Aiden suddenly felt a warm sensation on his forehead. The warm sensation only lasted for a brief moment. And after that, Sefli withdrew her hand, and took a few steps backwards.

"So… ummm, what now?" Aiden asked.

"Now, you sleep." Replied Sefli of the unknown.

And just like that, Aiden fell into the embrace of darkness.

As the first rays of the morning sun kissed the world awake, a handsome prince slowly opened his eyes, greeted by the sight of a breathtaking room within a castle.

The room exuded an air of grandeur and elegance, adorned with opulent tapestries and intricate carvings. Sunlight danced through the stained glass windows, casting vibrant hues upon the plush velvet drapes that framed the majestic four-poster bed he lay upon.

The prince's chiseled features, accentuated by a strong jawline and piercing blue eyes, spoke of both regal charm and undeniable allure. His jet black hair was messy, lending an irresistible hint of playfulness to his princely appearance.

Yes. This handsome prince was indeed Aiden. An otherworlder, who's soul was transmigrated into the body of prince Zalfick Morver.
