Chapter 29: A Boom Tube?!

[MC's POV]

I didn't need to see to know that Dr. Newton Geiszler's ass had kissed the ground after being spooked crazy by my beastly voice.

I was genuinely amazed by the fact that he was still messing around with man-kaiju neural drifting.

Damn, I think he was already corrupted and addicted to Kaiju drifting and his mental stability was somehow teetering to the edge of a cliff.

As the only remaining kaiju in the whole world currently and the only one capable of [Hive Mind Connection], it was inevitable that I could sense Newton's lunatic attempts, right after leaving the Anteverse.

For him to survive for so long that he became almost immune to the sheer weight of a kaiju's consciousness could only be attributed to luck.

Dr. Newton Geiszler's psychic frequencies were in Sydney, Australia, over 7000 km from Hong Kong.

I could cover that distance within two to three hours underwater but if I took flight I hypothesized that I would only need an hour or maybe even go below it.

"I am…Speed." I hyped myself.

BOOM!

BOOM!

I broke the sound barrier - not special by the way since Gamera could do it - and easily achieved hypersonic speeds and within 50 minutes, I had already traversed the transpacific route between Hong Kong and Sydney.

I bet the countries I have passed may have thought that I was an enemy aircraft trespassing in their airspace that could shockingly take them by surprise due to the sheer speed I was moving.

Through the memories I accessed from Dr. Geiszler, I came to find that about 10 years had passed since the Breach was destroyed.

10 years? As for me, I felt as if I was already ancient after spending thousands of years of accelerated time in the Anteverse.

And that was where the perks of biological immortality came into play. I couldn't age like other earthly existences since I was high on cancerous cells, pfft.

Take it like some sort of negligible senescence exhibited by the immortal jellyfish through intentional physical regression but in my situation, I was unable to revert.

Heck, I remember I couldn't extract the Immortal Jellyfish unique trait back in the Rampage Universe due to the wackiness of the 50/50 biting my ass.

Luckily, I had eaten till my aging process was basically halted for an eternity.

I could still be killed though. It could be through thorough disintegration that didn't give me the chance to regenerate from even a single remain or maybe conceptual attacks. I will be damned if I met existences that could negate my slightly overpowered regenerative abilities.

Anyway, that brings us to [Ultra Regeneration] which is capped at only cellular regeneration.

I recognized my limits well enough. I wasn't invincible but I was still better than Invincible. Invincible wasn't really invincible. Why the hell did he call himself "invincible"?

"It's traumatizing thinking about the brutality of Viltrumites. Seeing Mark's face battered up badly gave me the chills If I get the chance…" I reminisced about the Invincible animated series while I casually flew above the Opera House.

The sky was dark and the brilliant lights emanating from the architectural wonder created a relaxing ambience.

I have never once been to any other character, other than England and South Korea in my past life.

But with the power of free flight in the palm of my hand, I could travel to any place I wanted.

I was currently camouflaged to prevent needless annoyance from the military.

I wanted my peace… at the moment, before I began playing with the humans.

[Are you surprised? Thought I left you on read, eh, Dr. Geiszler?] I decided to play with Newton as I flew toward the Harbour Bridge.

"W-W-Who are you? This can't be happening!"

"I thought the Kaijus and the Precursors were no longer a story after the closure of the Breach!"

"Their disappearance is still a mystery!"

"A-And there was that new wolf species that has to be sealed!"

"Logically speaking, it can't be possible to escape from an inescapable box!"

Dr. Geiszler babbled on and on like a horny parrot and I was forced to calm the messed-up scientist.

"Calm the fuck down, Dr. Geiszler? It seems your years of isolation have rendered you mad," I said in a dominant voice.

"S-Sorry!" He hurriedly squeaked an apology.

"I am that wolf that you humans had to trap down there, doctor!" I chuckled, my bestial laughter instinctively causing fear to sprout inside Dr. Geiszler.

His reaction was as expected. He shivered and since I could access his live thoughts via his infected mind, I happened to see an image of me tearing apart both Otachi and Leatherback.

So that was the impression I left behind "That wolf was almost unstoppable".

"That's impossible!" Dr. Geiszler responded with shock and disbelief.

"Well, it's possible. Aren't I alive and casually sight-seeing the wonders of Sydney?" I smiled while removing my camouflage to give the people of Australia, no, the world, a big thick surprise written in bold.

"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, I-It can't be!"

"We are fucked!"

Yeah, Newton. You are fucked!

I then cut off the telepathic connection.

"AWOOO!" I howled in utter zeal and pleasure as I shocked the living daylights out of everyone. My voice spread to all the corners of the world.

I was asserting my presence and dominance. Kinda of edgy, If I must say but I felt like doing it.

I COULD DO IT.

Panic.

Confusion.

Fear.

Dread.

I could easily derive these emotions from the living beings below me.

I was an enigma. An unknown alien that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

A living terror.

The screams were kinda annoying if I must say. Their minds and thoughts told me whatever I wanted to know. I strongly resembled the abominations that wreaked havoc upon the world 10 years ago.

'The Kaijus have returned to torment humanity again.'

'Why were they back again to cause calamities?'

'Didn't the PPDC do their effin' jobs well to lock away those vermin?'

'We are finished!'

'I am gonna die!'

'Am I gonna die a virgin? If I die I want to reincarnate in Marvel and have my harem with the coolest power!"

Hold up?!

What the fuck am I hearing from their minds?

The last one? Does he think he's an Isekai protagonist?

'Where is he?' Interest could be seen in my eyes.

'It's a pity that the thoughts are far too many to know which the exact person.' My interest quickly plummeted.

But that delusional person made me realize that both Marvel and DC comics were a thing in the Pacific Rim. I was honestly surprised.

I was a nerd, and still is but the problem lay with my size.

'Huh?' My sixth sense began to tingle as I picked up something… disastrous.

A catastrophe.

The heck?

'A boom tube?' I thought in apprehension as I gazed at the sky.

What was going on?
