Chapter 20: Chapter 20
*Louis POV*
As I open my door I see Endo standing there with tear filled eye's.
"Endo?! what's wrong?"
He opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out of it and it's like he's breaking down all over again, so I take his hand an pull him into my apartment. Once his seated I call Jayden over, maybe he'll be able to talk if he's here too. A few minutes later Jayden rings my doorbell and I open the door for him. He seats beside Endo and I make hot chocolate for all of us, Once Endo calmed down we asked him what the problem was and for the first time since he got here he finally said something.
"It's Elsie...she- she asked for a divorce"
"What?"Jayden asks
"Why...?" I finally manage to get out.
"I don't know...she keeps saying she's no longer he in love with me and- and"He stammers starting to break down again. I pull him into a hug and start patting his back.
"Take your time. Take all the time you need, I'm here for you"
Once he's fairly calmed down again he continues.
"She says she cheated on me mu- multiple times"he finally blurts out.
"What?"At this point Jayden is boiling.
"She's the one who cheated and she has the guts to ask for divorce?"He scoffs at this statement and looks away trying his best to keep calm.
"Apparently she feels...bad about cheating on me and even though I told her we could forget about it and just act like it never happened she insists on getting the divorce"
To this I stay absolutely silent cause something just didn't feel right about all this. I'm definitely going to do some digging once thier done with all this, right now Endo needs his bestfriend, I'll be his personal detective later.

A few months went by and they'd just finalized thier divorce. They didn't have a kid yet so the divorce went pretty smooth. I'm currently on my way to see Elsie. Endo's personal detective was now free to start her digging.
I ring the doorbell of her new apartment 3 times before the door finally comes open.
"Hi Elsie, I'm sorry for not texting before coming. I just really needed to see and I'm certain you'd have turned me down if I called."
"Well you're right about that. But since you're here you might as well come in" She says stepping aside for me
I step in, she closes the door behind me and leads me to her living room.
Once we're seated she offers me cola and sits across from me.
"So why'd you come here?"
"You know why"
About a minute goes by and she doesn't say anything so I continue.
"Why'd you file for divorce?"
"Cause I lost feelings for him, cheated on him and felt terrible about leading him on."
"I don't believe you" I say looking her in the eye
"Tell me why you really did it, if you don't want me to tell him I won't"
"What makes you so sure that I'm lying? huh?"
"The fact that I know you. We may not have been close but I've known you for approximately 12 years and I know for a fact you'd never do anything to hurt him."
"So tell me what really happened"
She looks up as if trying to stop tears from escaping her eyes. She then takes a deep breath and starts speaking.
"When I was little my parents found out I had lupus"
"What?"
"Yeah. There's currently no cure for it and I've had multiple transplants... I'm tired of surgeries and anasthetics and I know if Endo knew he'd do anything to make me get another surgery"
"So...can I ask what was damaged this time?"
"Both my kidneys" She says faking a smile through her tears.
I feel tears forming in my eyes so I close it and take a deep breath.
"I'm not gonna try to convince you to get any surgery even though I strongly think you should, what I do want you to do is tell Endo the truth...he deserves to know"
"Don't tell him... I'll let him know but not now"
"When then?"
"When I've passed away and it's time for my burial, I'll have my mom send you all a proper explanation and apology with the burial address from my phone"
"Why?- Why do you want to wait till then?"
"So that it won't hurt Endo as much as it would if he found out now"she says with a smile that just tore my heart even more.
"I- I should get going now."I say as I stand up to leave Once we're at the door I turn around and say
"Call me if you need anything, I'll be right over"
"There's no need for that, I'm moving back to my hometown to live with my mom."
I nod slightly, open the door and step out taking a final glance at her. I smile and wave as she closes her apartment door.
As I approach my room I make out Endo sitting in front of my door so I rush to him.
"Endo, are you okay".
He looks up at me smiling while nodding slightly, I pull him up and drag him into my apartment.
"Sit down I'll get you a glass of water"
"It's fine" he says
"seriously, what's wrong?"
"I've been thinking for a while and I- I realized how much you mean to me and I was wondering if you could please like me again"
"What?"I say with a scoff
"I promise to treat you better than I ever have and make up for all the times I hurt you, so please look at me again the way you did before"
I scoff and break into tear filled laughter.
"Are you even listening to yourself right now?"
"I spent 10 years of my life loving you okay?! A- and you called it an insignificant crush but now that the love of your life left you, you want my love back?"
"I mean I always knew you were selfish but I can't believe you're this selfish"I say shaking my head with my still tear filled eyes.
"Let's never cross paths again Endo" I say walking away from him to open the door so he can leave.
He grabs my hand and I turn to glare at him and my eyes meet a teary eyed Endo shaking his head vigourously.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry about what I said, you can hot Me if you want but please don't say you never want to see me again."
"I'm probably just devastated from loosing Elsie so I'm saying absolute rubbish so please ignore what just happened. I can't afford to loose you too"
"Please"
I pull my hand away and hug him as tight as I can, letting him get all his pain out

After six years we get the text Elsie had promised me her mom would send. It was hell keeping such a huge secret from Jayden and Endo. We attend the burial and Endo balls his eyes out. He's not completely over her yet but now he isn't so closed off anymore.
