Chapter 40: The king is dead

The king's eyes shot open when he felt the sharp pain in his heart, only to see his son piercing an arrow into his heart.

A regular vampire will not die from just a simple arrow piercing their heart. Once they remove it, the vampire would be healed. Killing a pure blooded royal was a difficult thing to do. They were almost invincible. But what was with this arrow? What was this pain? He felt like his whole body was going numb, and he couldn't even fight back to remove the thing from his chest.

"Raz... Raziel." The king croaked. "What... are you... doing?"

"It could have been different. But you brought this upon yourself. I can't let you kill uncle and destroy his kingdom. That is mother's kingdom. But you do not care. Did you ever feel guilty about her death? If you weren't so power hungry and wanting to conquer the entire world, she wouldn't have died. Then I thought perhaps you would have learnt your lesson, but you only became worse."
