Bryan was scared out of his mind, demons were strong and they knew that, but they didn't think they'd ever face one, because the demon king has already been slain, and the only other way to encounter one is to go to the demon realm.
Duke knew they were scared of him, this broke him even more he wanted to escape this, he didn't want to scare people, his eyes, why did he have to have these eyes. A Single tear came rolling down his pale white skin.
"Why" Duke said standing up looking Byran in the eye, with a straight face
"Why do you hate me" Duke took a step closer, he didn't know what gotten him into him, but he wanted answers and now, he was fed up with being chased out, and treated differently because of his eyes. while Byran took a step back, his other two teammates already ran away the moment he screamed demon.
Duke kept walking closer asking why, as if he had gone mad, but it wasn't far from the truth, all he wanted to do was figure out why he is so hated.
"What did I do to deserve this" Duke tilted his head, looking Bryan dead in his eyes questioning him.
"My eyes, Why do you hate them? Their eyes like yours, just a little different, is it bad to be different is it" Tears started forming, and Duke stopped walking standing still, and looked down at his torn clothes.
He put his arms in front of him and looked at them closely.
"Am I really that different from you" Duke stopped crying, and started laughing like a maniac
"KEKEKKEEKE" Duke lifted his head and gave Bryan a stare that could make even make a god fear. Duke continued walking towards him not breaking eye contact even once
Bryan lifted his sword, his arm shaking barely being able to lift it up, but failing miserably.
"Ill kill you, back away" Byran knew he couldn't do it even if he wanted to, the fear inducing stare Duke gave him was enough, he was scared for his life, but he was also confused on what Duke ment.
Duke walked closer, and Byran tried stepping back but he hit a wall, he was scared all he wanted to do was, go home and be with his family
"Please, I have a family" He said begging for sympathy from Duke, he had 2 little girls, he had to get back to
"Family, I had a family once, but they also hated me cause I was different, maybe I am the devil, since everyone believes I am, they won't be mad right, If I start killing like the devil" Duke started laughing even more than he did before, making a wicked smile.
Finally Duke arrived in front of Bryan, Bryan didn't have the willpower to even move his sword dropped from his hand, and he collapsed and fell on his knees.
"Please, please ill give you anything you want, spare me" He begged on his knees not being able to shake off this immense fear, tears forming in his eyes.
"Kekekeke, How funny you still beg for mercy even after, barging into another person's house, humans sure are hilarious, why would I spare you if I'm a so-called devil" Duke said lifting Bryans chin staring into his eyes.
A look of hope flashed on Bryan's eyes
"I was just joking, y-your eyes are perfect haha" He said stuttering, and laughing awkwardly
Duke's piercing gaze was fixed on Bryan's eyes
"You're funny" Duke said with a straight face, not laughing, not crying, but with a stone cold face.
Duke picked up the sword he dropped and without a second thought decapitated Bryans head from his body.
Suddenly a wave of energy rushed into his body, it was that same unknown energy, that Sophie used.
[Eye of Nullification Activated]
[Sophie's POV]
Suddenly I heard a death curdling scream. It was Byran yelling Demon, she panicked and didn't know what to do. She suddenly also looked towards the counter and saw Duke standing up, with his pitch red eyes looking like a sea of blood.
She used all her willpower to stop shaking and run, she saw Jake running out the door and followed him taking the time, Duke was distracted on Bryan and ran
She ran and ran till she felt like her legs were going to fall off, she didn't care about anything other than her own survival, she left her comrade to die to save her own pitiful life.
But she didn't care cause she felt like her life was worth more than anyone elses on the god forsaken planet. Even if she felt like passing out due to exhaustion she ran she overcame the urge.
A couple hours later
She finally arrived at the end of the forest and collapsed on the ground. Jake was far behind her as he couldn't overcome exhaustion and passed out an hour after.
Sophie laid there finally succumbing to exhaustion after seeing a well dressed old lady walking her direction, she slowly closed her eyes sighing in relief believing she escaped from the hands of pure death.
[Duke's POV]
Duke looked at Bryan's dead body and finally came to his senses, he backed up falling to the ground, he finally realized what he had done, but he didn't think what he had done was wrong.
But he was quite happy, he started laughing a little and looked at the sword in his hand. Suddenly he remembered the robotic sound from before.
"Nullification eye?" Duke placed his hand on his eye and suddenly a blue transparent window popped up, it looked like it was from a game

Note: Nullification eye can nullify any magic attack and copy it once a day. All magic can be casted without chanting. It absorbs mana of the people you kill his effect has no cooldown.
Duke didn't know what this meant, he got up off the floor and walked towards Bryans dead body, he searched his body and found a book, it didn't have a title, it was an old looking journal, it felt like it could fall apart and second.
He slowly opened the journal and read through its contents.
"It doesn't seem like I'm on earth anymore" He stares at the book with a emotionless face.
