Chapter 12: Ins and Outs
"What you see here is the machine you are going to learn how to drive. But without knowing how it operates you can't get the full potential out of this machine" Mr. Hues was starting his introduction to Go Karts.
Then he continued, "I hope that you atleast have the idea of the basic things. So I will point at the part and I will ask one of you to say that part's name and if you can tell what it does it will be good and if you cannot answer don't be disappointed because that's why I am here to teach you".
Then we started guess who's that Pokémon... ahem what's that part, "ok lets start this. Then Nicholas what is this part" pointing at the break pedal. "That's a break pedal and it jelps to stop the Kart" Nicholas explained enthusiasticly.
"Good, now Adrian whats is this" he questioned Adrian this time pointing at the reverse knob. "I don't know what is that sir" he said disappointedly.
"It is not that big of a problem, even I didn't knew what it was and I learnt about it many years after doing Karting, this thing is called as Reverse knob, as the name suggests it is used for reversing the Kart".
Like this the questionnaire went on and we all had many new things to learn about, even me as I had no prior experience of Karting so my mete knowledge couldn't help here. After that were given the instructions on how to handle the Kart and basic handling.
Then the time was up for today's session and my dad came to pick me up. "How was the session?" Dad asked me. "It was good, along with me 3 more kids joined. They seemed like very good freinds. We also learned about various aprts of Go Kart and then had some basic handling lessons" I gave the reply to dad.
We then reache home and mom opend the door and gave me a hug which I also returned. Then we had a great and hearty dinner. In this life due to being an Indian and somewhat of a Hinduism follower in previous life, I was finding it difficult to eat beef. This was not went unnoticed by my parents. I just played it to that I didn't like beef and they just went with that reasoning.
So pork became the dominant meat we all consume. Though I had some time adapting my palate to the meat heavy German cuisine. Still I was able to enjoy the meals mom and Hilda cooked for all of us and it was good that dad always tried to come hame before dinner and it eas very good feeling that the whole family could eat together. Moments like these made the rebirth worth it and I am very happy with what all I have.
Then dad announced the biggest news, "So I got a offer from BMW to be a part of their F1 racing team and after seeing Matt's enthusiasm for the sport, I think it will be good for me to take the job and become acquainted with the ins and outs of this sport. I also think it will also elevate the carrier. What do you think dear ?, Should I take upon the offer or should I stay at this Mercedes".
"This your descision dear, you don't have to worry about what you choose as I have no doubts that where you will go we all will be happy and if it helps your career then it is only good for us. So don't worry for us, yes it may be a new place that we will move to but with Hilda it will be nothing difficult and in no the we can make the new house our home" mother gave the support dad needed from her.
"Dad thank you that you are doing this for me but you also should enjoy your work, no. So where you go we will be happy" I also was not back with encouragement.
"Ok, thanks I was not expecting this much support but thanks I will look into this new job opportunity and let's see if this is as good as they are saying if it is then we are going to move in a year. Matt be sure to make freinds here even if we may leave in a year, it is always good to have friends" dad thanked us and adviced me.
This was quite an eventful supper to say but was a refreshing one to see that dad still puts his family above the job, this is what I like about my dad.
