Chapter 33: Crafting Connections

As Saad's enthusiasm shone brightly, Rosarie's soft-spoken voice wove a delicate thread of revelation. "You know, I have the potential to craft armor sets even finer than this. But most adventurers seem drawn to heavier armors. Besides, my craft isn't anything remarkable."

Before Saad could voice his encouragement and disagree with her self-assessment, in the blink of an eye, a notification appeared before him, glowing with a silver light.

Saad blinked in surprise at the sudden appearance of the quest. He hadn't anticipated this turn of events. As he read through the details, the gravity of the opportunity before him sank in. This was a chance to not only help Rosarie but also to be part of something larger, to showcase her exceptional skills to a wider audience. It was a prospect he couldn't pass up. But… Of course there was always a 'but', in situations like this.

The quest details were completely vague. 'How do I awaken her potential when my own potential is locked at the moment?' He thought to himself, growing serious suddenly. Besides if Rosarie leaving was a penalty, that meant it was a super serious thing and it would definitely affect him in the future.

Rosarie seemed to misunderstand his seriousness and quickly spoke, a little flustered. "I meant nothing by that. Please do not worry," But as Saad spoke, her beautiful eyes grew big.

"How about you take part in the spring competition, Rosarie," Saad said, his voice reflecting his genuine eagerness. "The competition is a fantastic opportunity to show off everyone what you are capable of. You might not realize it, but your craft is far from ordinary. I will help you awaken your true potential Rosarie. Please, let me help you."

Rosarie's eyes shimmered with surprise and gratitude. Her soft smile was a testament to her appreciation as her cheeks grew pink. "You would truly do that for me? I am humbled by your willingness, Kael."

[Your familiarity with Rosarie: The apprentice tailor, has increased.]

Saad ignored the message and nodded with a determined look in his eyes. "Absolutely. Besides, I've seen firsthand the quality of your work. It's only fitting that others get to experience it too."

Rosarie seemed to gain a glimmer of hope in her liquid gold like eyes before it grew dim and she was looking down, taking a deep breath, "I am grateful that so gave so much thought to it but I am not going to enter in the competition. I am actually going to leave Seraphia in coming spring."

Saad was taken aback by her refusal suddenly but he couldn't step away. He would have stop pestering her if it was real life but, it was a question of a special quest. He couldn't let go of the opportunity.

Saad's enthusiasm burned brightly, fueled by a determination to sway Rosarie's decision. He met her gaze with sincerity, his voice earnest yet gentle. "I get it, Rosarie. You have your plans, and I respect that. But think about it – if you're planning to leave Seraphia anyway, why not give the competition a shot? Just one last time. It could be a wonderful memory to carry with you. And who knows, you might even amaze yourself."

Rosarie's gaze wavered, caught between her own reservations and Saad's unwavering encouragement. He could see the struggle in her eyes, the internal debate playing out as uncertainty warred with the possibility of something greater. He held his breath, silently urging her to consider his proposal.

After a moment that seemed to stretch on, Rosarie took a deep breath. Her voice trembled slightly, laden with a mixture of hope and trepidation. "You truly believe I can do it?"

Saad's smile was warm and reassuring, a beacon of support. "Absolutely, Rosarie. I've seen the dedication and skill you put into your work. You have a talent that deserves recognition. And you won't be alone in this. I'll be there to assist you every step of the way."

A faint blush tinted Rosarie's cheeks, her expression a blend of vulnerability and determination. She hesitated for a beat, then finally met his gaze with newfound resolve. "Alright, Kael. I'll do it. I'll enter the competition."

Relief washed over Saad, his heart soaring with triumph. "That's fantastic, Rosarie! You won't regret it, I promise. We'll work together and make sure your craftsmanship shines. Since we are doing this either way! Let's aim for the win!"

Rosarie's smile was a fragile bloom, but it held a genuine spark of excitement. "Thank you, Kael. I wouldn't have considered this without your encouragement."

Saad waved off her gratitude, his own excitement evident in his expression. "It's a team effort, Rosarie. We'll make a great team."

And so, the die was cast. The stage was set for a journey of crafting and camaraderie, of pushing boundaries and discovering hidden potential. Saad and Rosarie's partnership was sealed with a common goal – to win the upcoming armor crafting competition and showcase Rosarie's exceptional talent to all of Seraphia.

"Then- I will take you on your words. I have stopped making light armors for a long time so I would need to start working on it from the basics. Can you get me 5000 meters thread of rainbow lady and 5000 meters thread of brown blossom bug? Of course I will also pay you for your hard work!" As she spoke, a quest window opened up.

[The basics of Thread- I]

Description: Assist Rosarie in collecting enough thread for her practice.

-Quest Details-

Thread of Rainbow Lady: 0/5000

Thread of Brown Blossom Bug: 0/5000

Difficulty: D

+40 EXP

Quills: +30

Saad felt like he was seeing too many quest windows today. Would he be able to complete them all on time? But there was no time to think. Even though the current reward was measly, he wasn't going to say no.

"I will be back soon with the thread," he promised, and she smiled, nodding sweetly at him. "I will be leaving then. By the way, Rosarie, are you aware of a shop that can do maintenance for whips?"

As Saad asked, Rosarie seemed to think hard before she nodded. "Yes, not too far from here, there is the small shop of old man Jonas. He does all kinds of item making with leather. If you mention my name, he might charge you a little less." Her voice was as soft as ever, and Saad swore he could listen to her talk all day.

Unfortunately, he didn't have that kind of time, so he bid his farewell to her and continued his journey to find the workshop of old man Jonas. He was eager to meet him, but sadly, the shop was empty when he arrived.

Saad asked around and learned that the old man was currently away at the association, acquiring more leather for his work. He would be back later, but Saad couldn't afford to wait, as he needed to meet his master, the Ashen Witch, to receive his herbalism lessons. Since his arcane power was sealed until his awakening next year, he was eager to learn all he could in the meantime.

Saad finally arrived at the garden, which appeared to be in much better condition than before. With a sense of purpose, he knocked on the door of the cottage, anticipation coursing through him. The time for learning and growth was at hand.

The door swung open swiftly, revealing Saad's master standing on the other side. At the sight of the familiar figure, a sense of recognition filled Saad's eyes. "Step inside and close the door behind you," the master instructed. Saad followed the command, shutting the door as he entered. His master, an Ashen witch draped in a simple, thick black gown, made her way over to the couch and settled in, sipping her tea. The cottage exuded warmth, thanks to the roaring flame stone in the fireplace. Saad found himself captivated by the glowing embers until he was abruptly brought back to reality by the Ashen witch's voice. "What's got you staring? Grab the broom and start cleaning. I can't teach you in such a filthy and dusty place." Saad let out a sigh as a familiar quest notification materialized before him. Ah, yes! This quest—it sounded all too familiar.

[Apprentice's Journey-II]

Are you really going to let your master sit around in a grimy house? Take the broom and get to work.

Experience Points: +20

Turning down the quest will result in a loss of familiarity.

And what choice did Saad have? He grabbed the broom and got to work.
