Chapter 63: chapter 62

The Zanpakutō in Mu Feng's hand suddenly lit up with a captivating red light, and the blade shattered into countless small blades, filling the entire room.

However, no blades flew within a circular area with an 85-centimeter radius centered on Mu Feng. Regardless of his movements, this distance remained accurately maintained at 85 centimeters.

This circle was created to prevent Mu Feng from accidentally injuring himself with Senbonzakura.

With a single thought, countless sharp blades attacked a table in front of him. In an instant, the table disintegrated into powder, leaving Mu Feng speechless.

This was all done solely through Mu Feng's thoughts, without any additional power.

Imagine if Armament Haki was applied to Senbonzakura's "six twenty-seven" blades. Mu Feng was confident that he could defeat Sakazuki without relying on Mangekyō Sharingan's pupil technique...

With another thought, Mu Feng retracted Senbonzakura.

His Observation Haki alerted him to someone approaching. It was Guy, his adjutant Colonel Guy.

If Mu Feng were promoted to Admiral, the most unfortunate person would undoubtedly be the Red Dog. Although Mu Feng held the rank of Marine Admiral and served as the Marine General Counsel, he was not truly an Admiral. Others would speak of how Akainu became the Marine's general counsel, with a hint of bitterness and irony.

But if there was a second unfortunate person, it would be Guy.

Mu Feng entrusted all Admiral-related matters to Guy, who considered it an honor. Ever since Mu Feng helped him seek revenge in the Chambord Islands, Guy had become Mu Feng's loyal private soldier.

Private soldiers were soldiers who were absolutely loyal to their commander. Even if Mu Feng asked Guy to defect to the Marines, Guy would not hesitate.

Seeing Guy's confusion, Mu Feng smiled and said, "I accidentally used Armament Haki and turned the table into powder. You can clean it up. What's the matter?"

Guy had never imagined that Armament Haki could turn a table into a fan. He was astonished but didn't ask further.

Mu Feng nodded and used Shave to disappear in front of Guy.

"How does it feel to be an Admiral?" Sengoku asked with a smile as he looked at Mu Feng.

"It's normal," Mu Feng replied with a shrug.

Sengoku was dumbfounded. "Just normal? Then why did you compete with Akainu for the position?"

If it weren't for a systematic task and a deal with Akainu, Mu Feng wouldn't have applied for the Admiral promotion. Dreams meant little to Mu Feng. They were merely something to talk about.

"Marshal, what do you need me to do?" Mu Feng asked.

Sengoku smiled and handed Mu Feng a stack of documents. "According to Marine tradition, the first task of any newly appointed Marine Admiral is to apprehend pirates with a combined bounty of 2 billion Baileys. Take a look at these... They are some notable pirates I've selected. Whenever you have the time, go deal with them."

Mu Feng flipped through the information in his hand without much interest. Most of the pirates listed were from the first half of the Grand Line, and there were very few from the New World. Furthermore, they had no connection to the Four Emperors. Mu Feng found it lacking in excitement.

Suddenly, his eyes caught sight of a document on Sengoku's desk.

His eyes lit up as he saw the title: "Report on the Traces of the Flying Pirates."

Setting aside the current file, Mu Feng pointed to the document on the table and asked, "Marshal Sengoku, have you found that Golden Lion guy?"

Sengoku shook his head. "No, we only discovered the wreckage of a pirate ship bearing the Flying Pirates' emblem in the East China Sea. It appeared to be in pristine condition, not like a ship lost at sea for over a decade. I've ordered nearby Marine bases to investigate, including Garp, but we couldn't find Shiki." Sengoku's frustration grew as he mentioned Golden Lion, a man who had brought shame upon the Marines by successfully escaping Impel Down, a feat that hadn't been accomplished in 800 years.

Hearing Sengoku's words, Mu Feng sighed and activated his Byakugan. He was speechless.

Knowing that Golden Lion possessed the power of the Lion Fruit, they were wasting their efforts searching the sea. It seemed rather foolish.

Mu Feng smiled and picked up the document from the desk.

Looking at Sengoku, he proposed, "Marshal Sengoku, how about this? I'll leave the pirates you've assigned to Aokiji and Kizaru to handle. As for Golden Lion Shiki and his Flying Pirates, I'll take care of them."

"Give me a week, and I'll turn Golden Lion into a dead lion," Mu Feng declared with unwavering confidence. It was as though he was facing not one of the three legendary pirates, but just a lowly pirate with a million Baileys bounty.
