Chapter 4: Return To The Academy

As i made my way out of the outer edge of the forest to the academy i hided my all traces and sincerely tried to find out the monsters yet after 2 hours there are still no monster, i tried to do everything i could like "accidentally" making noises carelessly roaming and after who knows when finally i heard what i was excited to hear.

"grhh" of the monster and then it leaped outward of the bushes, it was a dire wolf of 2 star rank and it launched itself at my place.

I backfliped summoned the katana in my new hand and then after supplying mana in the sword i swung the sword horizontally.

"SWOOSH" "THUD".

In front if me was the head of the dire wolf detached from the body???

"Did i just one shot kill it?? "

I was baffled by myself at how easily i have killed it as i was killer in my previous life and in now an assassin there was no hesitation for killing yet i was shocked at how easily i was able to kill a dire wolf wop even some people of 3 star have difficulties in killing yet i a 2 star+ easily killed it.

Wait dire wolf's are in pack always!!

And as i thought that i sidestepped and swung the black katana and again there was the head of the wolf that was trying to kill me, it was altogether a new experience for me to fight the monsters, and i was enjoying it, then five other wolf's appeared circling me and this time beside three gray dire wolf there was one more black dire wolf which was alpha of 2 star+ rank where atleast 4 to 5 2 star+ warriors are needed.

As they lunged at me i used shadow walk and appeared behind a gray dire wolf changed sword into one sided spear swung it and used shadow walk again to flank a second dire wolf and dissolved the weapon into arm and changed the full hand into a blade like form abd thrust it into the stomach of the dire wolf and it also dead and this happened in split second, now two enraged wolf roared against me for the death of their comrades.

"ROAR! " "ROAR! "

Both lunged at me one from my right and another from behind i again backfliped and shadow steped to another dire wolf and transformed blade to arm and summoned a sword and did an vertical swing, the wolf was dissected in two parts and i rotated to side and raised my left hand horizontally.

"SHRIIING."

There was the sound of bones and metal colliding as the alpha clawed at me and there was some pain but no scratch or mark as this metallic arm is like real hand there is sensation and pain also but not much as for warriors the pain is dulled by 10th of the actual, so there was no considerable pain at all as i sidestepped and swung the sword filled with mana but this time the wolf ducked the head and countered attacked by clawing at my chest but i shadow stepped and appeared behind the wolf swung the sword vertically but wolf sidestepped and circled and tried to gnaw my hand with its teeth but i side stepped and launched the attack

"SHIING " "THCK"

After countless attacks alpha finally exposed its flank by lunging at me and i didn't waste time and dissolved sword into clawed gauntlet and used shadow steps and appeared right against exposed flanks and after straightening the palm i thrusted the claws forward in to the stomach.

"ROAR??"

Still confused it died in my hands still lunged at its stomach.

As i lunged hand out of its stomach blood was dipping through my arm i was again bloodied and 6 corpses of monster around me i didn't wait for long and took all corpses with me through the space bracelet given to every cadet.

And then i didn't waiting and started to make my way to the gate where i come from.

"Hmm, it was worth it." i thought as i kept a watch for monsters around me through my new enhanced senses and kept low now because now i don't want to attract a monster, i tested the hand and severing my arm and going through that pain was worth it.

As i made my way out of the outer edges of forest i inspected my self and i was bloodied with the blood of monsters but that is not a problem because having blood after going out of the forest is common here and there is no problem going to academy like this also because some first year cadets also hunt the monsters.

After what felt like hour of walking i finally saw the gate and heavy artillery around the gate as i started going close to gates gates started to open and i saw previous two guards again and without further ado i made my way out of the forest and to the train station, after entering train station there were approximately 7 minutes before train to academy was arriving, so i waited patiently and yes, there were people weirded out with how bloody i was and distancing themself with me but i didn't care about them and as train arrived i boarded it and took a window seat and waited patiently as i took in the scenery passing by.

After 17 minutes i unboarded the train and made my way to the academy, i thought about selling corpses to merchants but i have uses for the core so it can be delayed for later, monsters of different star have different ranked cores and prices increases as the star goes higher.

After i made my way to the academy i showed my id to the guard's who didn't bat even eye on my bloodied body like it was their daily routine, i passed through the gate and entered the academy and took in the scenery of gigantic buildings used for different purposes.

But it didn't last for even 3 seconds and i thought even with this much ordeal happening my face would have remained indifferent as it always have been after that incident.

I didn't thought any further about that topic and navigated my way through the roads to the dormitory, and it didn't take long for me to reach there and as i entered it was already getting to the time of curfew so there were not any students on 1st floor hall where all cadets of dormitory hang out with various luxuries, i made my way to elevator and pressed the 7th floor switch, after elevator stopped i made my way to my room, scanned my id and without further ado entered the room.
