Quinn waited 10 seconds. The Update screen didn't change.
'What the heck is taking soooo long?!?!?'
Realizing that he can't do anything about the update Quinn turned his attention to the pendant.
In that process the pendant deformed itself into a rigid but brittle pebble.
Almost ash like texture. With [Mana Sense] still active Quinn noticed the vortex's existed in only a small flickering silhouette around Quinn's worm body.
It's existence blinked in and out forming partial barriers around Quinn. But besides the mana nothing felt different. Like the barrier was still choosing whether to exist or not. Attaching itself to the very soul.
Quinn felt as if the mana intensity of each point felt like a different depth. A different dimension.
'AHHHH it hurts!!!! Make it stop!!!! Please help!! I can't... this is.. Please make it.. it hurts so much .....
why? Why am I here? What is this presence I feel'

Quinn found himself waking up in a cold sweat(mucus). He felt an aftershock in his body from intense pain. However it was perfectly spread out throughout his whole body.
Like the sensing the [System] injured the very soul.
'Wait... that presence... who???'
Quinn was left with too many questions and not enough answers.
Now he has 2 goals.
1. Become human
2. Find the origins of the [System]

'The system abandoned me!!! This game is meant to be easy. I'm meant to get a load of cheat skills and become OP!!!!'
After the [System] restrictions, Quinn tried out the use of his [System]. The results follow.
-skills are harder to use
-most skills are weaker(except [Dig][Pheromone detection] where they're stronger)
-[Appraisal] is completely blocked meaning the status is also blocked
This was why Quinn was chucking a tantrum. Because his newfound strength is now newlost.
Hunting became harder, and out of hunger Quinn knew something had to change.
'Ahhhg complaining!! Again!! I'm so pathetic. Complaining isn't gonna do anything. Alright think. Cons ... everything. Pros my skills feel more apart of my body making [Dig] and [Pheromone detection] better.
So I can smell my prey further and dig to them quicker. Oh wait.. I can pounce like that old earth worm game I used to play'
Quinn's plan was simple. Smell the beetle from a distance below the ground and pounce out by digging very fast.
The first couple of tries Quinn missed completely. The dirt would scramble his senses and/or the beetle would move making bad timings for Quinn.
It wasn't just beetles either. Flies, butterflies, moths, grasshoppers, etc. Anything small and alone. But alas no luck.
And Quinn's luck and stamina was almost drained.
'Maybe I shouldn't have become a carnivore. Everything hurts. My body hurts so much!!'
Quinn's herd like mentality didn't fit his carnivorous body. He was on his last legs and possibly his last hunt.
