Chapter 2: And so it begins

Grabing a flyer off of an old marketplace, the man walked back to his house to show his wife and child.

He went to his house and looked around. It wasn't the biggest house, it was two stories, counting the attic, small in with but it was his cozy little house.

Opening the door, he saw his little kid running around, playing with his toy horse with a big grin on his face , what he wouldn't do to keep that smile on his face. Going up to his kid he patted him on the head and asked him to go upstairs and play in his room while also calling his wife from the living room.

Walking into the entryway with an concerned look wondering where the groceries were. With ashamed look on his face he told his wife about the marketplace. The wife put on a worried face, wondering how they were going to feed their kid, as thumps from upstairs can be heard by both. Looking down the man showed the flyer for the army. It had a man it bright sliver armor, with a promise for food for the family barely scribbled underneath.

The woman, with a scared look on her face, begged for the husband to look for a different way. Even when knowing there was no such way. The husband looked at his wife and put his hand over her shoulder telling her that he had to leave tomorrow to making it to the interview. The wife with tears from her eyes, hugged the husband, wishing him luck, even if it was for tomorrow. A creak was heard on the stairs, both looked up to see their kid wondering what was happening. The dad went up and told him nothing was wrong, daddy just had to go on a little trip for a while. The kid looked up with stars in his eyes hopping that he could go as well. The dad look at the kid with a stiff smile and tried his best to tell that it was a one person trip. Sadded by the news, the son walks up to his room to pout .

The dad, worried for his child, went up the stairs to go talk to him about the changes while his was gone.
