Chapter 31: Chapter 31: Massacre

As soon as Aiden shouted, Ned and his men immediately launched the attack on the Bolton men, taking them completely by surprise. Roose quickly attacked with the dagger so his men would attack.

However when the dagger hit Aiden's side, it was as if he stabbed a Valyrian Steel wall, his wrist broke from the force of the dagger coming to an immediate stop, causing him to drop the dagger and let out a scream of pain as he held his wrist.

Aiden then grabbed Roose by his throat and let out a laugh, "Nice try. Now it's my turn."

Taking a deep breath, Aiden let out his cold breath, freezing the ground in front of the charging army. This slowed them down greatly causing mass confusion as soldiers in front fell which tripped those behind.

"Traitors to the crown? You must be joking little kitty cat. None of you will be leaving here alive, you will be the first to suffer the wraith of the dragon. Fire and Blood."

To Kevan Lannister and his men's horror Aiden, while holding on to Roose's throat, began to float up into the sky as his eyes turned red.

"Sorcerer!"

"Run, he knows magic!"

Shouts from the soldiers began to ring out, even the Bolton men who were fighting against the Stark men and others froze in horror as they saw Aiden holding Roose by his throat floating in the air. Many were killed instantly by the Stark side since they took advantage of the opening.

"Flamebird, time to let loose. Show the world what we do to those who kill the innocent."

Aiden shouted which brought everyone's attention to him.

Suddenly they witnessed a small golden reptilian figure fly out from Aiden's hood, then what happened next shocked not only the men on Kevan Lannister's side, but even Ned and the other lords froze in their tracks.

Flamebird grew to 76 meters, or about 249 feet long and had a wingspan of 175.5 meters, or 576 feet, her golden scales with red highlights changed into flames.

It was as if she was made of fire itself, she could've gotten much bigger if she wanted, she was a goddess of destruction. If she went full size, she was big enough to swallow the whole planet with ease.

She was much bigger than even Balerion the Black Dread who was 38.4 meters long, or 126 feet long and a wingspan of 138 meters, or 453 feet, he was the largest recorded dragon in Westeros history.

This brought Kevan Lannister and his men a whole new level of terror, many of the men's brains just shut down, like a deer in headlights, they had no idea what to do with the information their brains were taking in at all.

Flamebird let out a roar which shook the very ground, many for miles heard the roar and ran outside to see what it was, but upon seeing a flaming dragon in the sky ran back inside their homes and began saying prayers, hoping such a beast wouldn't come their way.

"Im..Impossible!!" Kevan screamed, "Dra..Dragons have been de..dead f..for hundreds o..of y..years!" He stuttered.

"Fire and Blood, Lord Lannister. Don't worry, your brother, niece and your bastard son you had with the Queen will be joining you soon, as well as your brother-in-law that you cuckolded. You call Lord Stark a traitor, and yet you've been having fun with the King's wife." Aiden said aloud shocking all the men in the area.

Aiden turned to Flamebird, who gave a nod and unleashed a large flame breath onto the army below, instantly killing the majority of the army instantly. Not even their armor or weapons were left, let alone bodies.

Turning to the struggling Roose Bolton, Aiden squeezed a little harder, making Roose go red in the face.

"I want to kill you right now for what you planned to do to Lord Starks children, but I find it more humiliating for you to die by the hands of a Stark rather than my hands."

Just as Roose's face started to turn purple, Aiden let go, dropping Roose several feet to the ground. Both his legs let out a sickening pop as the bones snapped on impact, this woke Roose up immediately from his daze from lack of oxygen. He let out a scream as he saw his own bones piercing thru his skin as he came around.

"I leave this traitor to you Lord Stark, you can take his head yourself. I will be back shortly, I have several Lannister ships to destroy. I want their losses to be far more than just their men." Aiden said as he flew off to go destroy the ships.

Robb just stood there in shock and amazement as he looked at Flamebird begin to go after the rest of the army.

Ned Stark too was frozen in shock, but Aiden's words brought him out of his stupor immediately. He slowly made his way through the men, his movement awoke the rest of his men who began to kill the rest of the Bolton men.

"Looks like you will not be getting your wish Lord Bolton, you wanted to kill my family, MY SONS! You wanted to use my daughters! I will enjoy taking your head myself. I had wanted to keep your son alive, but unfortunately he was killed after my men made their moves, he died because of your greed, he died not knowing the truth of your deeds. For that I am sorry, but perhaps it is for the best." Ned said as he approached Roose, his Valyrian sword Ice dripping with the blood of Roose's men as he walked.

"Fuck you Stark, that's right, not only would I have killed your sons I would've taken your wife and daughters as my bed slaves. Then passed them around to my men when I grew tired of them. You think killing me ends your troubles, it only delays our revenge. The Bolton's will have their revenge one day." Roose growled in defiance.

He had known about his bastard son Ramsey and his sadistic nature, even though he wasn't able to legitimize him, making him a Bolton by name, he knew that his men knew that he was his son. So he knew that Ramsey would cause trouble for the Starks, maybe even kill a few of his daughters.

He knew Ramsey had dark fantasies regarding women, especially noble women, so he hoped that his son would eventually turn his attention to the Starks.

"No Roose Bolton, your line ends with you today. No longer will the North have a House Bolton, your house dies with you. I Eddard Stark, Warden of the North, in the name of the true King of the North, Aegon Targaryen the sixth of his name, King of the Andals, the Rhoyner and First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, Protector of the Realm, do hereby sentance you to death."

Roose just smiled, he wouldn't say anything about his bastard son, he knew the boy was too young, but eventually he would grow and perhaps, if the God's willing, he would have his revenge thru his bastard.

Ned made his decision, the Iron Throne had turned against his house, plotted against his family, tried to take the North and give it to a man who would relish in bringing pain and suffering to his family should they had their way. He would now return his family back to its oath, he would serve his nephew.

All the northerners heard Ned's words and were a little confused. Only the six men who followed Ned to the Tower of Joy knew who he was speaking about. His sisters son who was a Targaryen.

After taking Roose's head, when he finally looked to his men, they all had confused expressions, so Ned elaborated further to clear things up.

"My sister was never kidnapped and raped by Crown Prince Rhaegar, that was a lie told by the Usurper Robert and his cohorts. After the Lannister's army sacked Kings Landing, as many of you know I traveled to search for her. I found her and learned the truth. She and Prince Rhaegar wed, both under northern customs as well as southern, his marriage to Princess Elia was annulled beforehand, and they had a son. My nephew, that is who the North will back. I will see my nephew on the throne. He too is of the North, even though he hasn't been to the North, I will welcome him with open arms and place him where he belongs. Winter is Coming my Lords, I hope you share my thoughts of serving a Northern King." Ned said aloud, shocking all the men, including Lord Whent and Lord Mallister.

"Is what you say truth Lord Stark?" Lord Walter Whent asked.

"Aye, he speaks true. I was there as were the five of us. Aiden can confirm this matter as well when he returns." Lord Willam Dustin responded.

"You will have my sword Lord Stark, it's about time the North gets a King!" Martyn Cassel shouted, then the other northerners shouted in agreement.

"You have my support Lord Stark as well as the Riverlands. Unfortunately, Lord Holster Tully won't be able to say the same. Our men have alread began to spread word of his attempted kinslaying so I doubt he will have any ability to help. Whoever is chosen to lead the Riverlands will know to support the North." Lord Whent stated.

"Aye, I thank you both from the bottom of my heart, we owe you both a debt, the North Remembers." Ned stated, he then looked at the dead Bolton men. He regret that Domeric was killed, he did like the boy and saw in him a fine lad, but as Aiden had said, once the fighting started he joined the fight with his fathers men.

Domeric had thought the Starks had turned on his father, he was an honorable man himself, which is why Roose made sure to keep his son in the dark. Roose knew his son would side with the Starks should he have known the truth, it was the one thing he disliked about his son, he wasn't ruthless or even ambitious.

He knew Domeric wouldn't like the fact that Roose had set up the Starks, but once the deed was done there would've been nothing else he could do but accept and become heir to the Warden of the North. Unfortunately for Roose, he lost his life as well as the life of his only true-born son.

Not long after Aiden returned, next to him a small golden scaled dragon with red highlights stood proudly on his shoulder, as soon as they landed Robb came running from the crowd.

"Wow that dragon is so awesome! Can I pet it?" Robb asked with sparkling eyes. He had only heard stories from his nanny in Winterfell, Old Nan, as well as seeing pictures in books, he never thought he would see a dragon himself.

"Robb, dragons don't allow..." Ned started but was stopped by Aiden.

"It's fine Lord Stark. Robb dragons are not things, like humans they have genders, this is Flamebird and I am sure she will be more than happy to let let you pet her. However, she is unique, if you see other dragons, you shouldn't ever try to go near it unless you have the permission of it's bonded, even then you don't want to pet them. They don't like to be touched by creatures they feel are lesser than themselves." Aiden explained.

"Sorry. Flamebird, she is so beautiful. How can she grow and change like she did? Is she made of fire?" Robb asked sheepishly but began to laugh as Flamebird flew around him playfully. She always enjoyed being complemented, it was the easiest way to get on her good side.

"This is the only way she can travel in this world, she is special and unlike the dragons found on this world." Aiden explained, as he looked to the others, he continued, "Thank you my friends for joining and assisting Lord Stark, you have made it so not many men were lost. Gather the wounded, I shall heal them as thanks."

"Your something else, why didn't you say you were a dragon rider beforehand? Besides you are our friend, when we received the request for assistance in your capture and killing of the Northerner traitors, we knew it was false. It is well known how the Starks are loyal, I never liked that Holster Tully anyway, so it was a good excuse to put that traitor in his place, no offense Lord Stark." Lord Mallister said.

"None taken, I just feel sorry for Cat, she will find it hard to accept, even I find it difficult to accept that he would allow them to kill Robb and my sons, even if it was to save Cat and my daughters. He would be condemning them to a fate worse than death, he trusted Roose to keep his word, which is something the Boltons aren't known to do." Ned said thru clenched teeth.

"Well my lords, we should get going, there is a war on the horizon, we don't want the rest of the North to be caught unawares. Do me a favor my friends, spread the word in the south that the dragon will return, Aegon is still young but he and his siblings have dragons of their own, all the Targaryens do, even my Aunt Daenerys. I want the stag and lion to not have peace for the rest of their days."

Aiden shocked them once again by healing all those that were injured. This caused a stir among the men, they had never seen such magic, especially one that didn't require blood to perform.

The Citadel and the Maesters had basically told that all magic was evil and required blood sacrifices to perform, in a sense this was true, but also not. If the one casting the spell had enough control over magic, than they could perform various spells, blood was used to increase the spells power.

Even the Greenseers and Children of the Forest had sacrificed over a hundred humans when they used the "hammer of the water" spell to break the Arm of Dorne as well as flooding the Neck all those years ago. It was the only way to increase the power enough to accomplish such a large scale attack.

However they saw Aiden's hands glow a golden light and heal even the worst of wounds, even lost limbs were returned which astonished the men further. The only ones to not be surprised were Ned and his six trusted men.

Although only Howland and Ned witnessed Aiden's healing abilities all those years ago, the others had learned of his use of healing ability to save the life of Lyanna. After all were healed, the men went their seperate ways, to prepare for a war that would soon come.

Word spread faster than expected of a dragon made of fire, then once word from Harrenhal and Seagate of what happened, it spread even faster.
