Under the Ryogoku Bridge, Dammon and Emi were both walking side by side, to some kind of unknown direction.
"You say you were going to show me the way, but why are we walking down the bridge right now..?"
Emi frowned and sighed while she looked at his irritating face.
"Just shut up and follow me, will you?"
On their way here, Dammon kept asking her this and that to the point she's already getting tired of it. Like, he should have already understood what's the problem. They were in public, there's no way she could answer his questions related to what she had in mind, so she could only ignore him.
It was already night by now, so Dammon became even more scared. He almost met his demise and he didn't want those stuff to ever happen to him again.
"What if that thing shows up again??"
"I'll kill it if it does show up, so please, grant me a favor and shut your mouth."
"..."
The both of them walked in silence, as they walked under the dark bridge, and soon enough, her body suddenly passed through empty space and she disappeared.
Dammon was hell of confused until he heard Emi again from the darkness.
"Just walk straight, it's just a barrier so normal citizens wouldn't be able to pass through it."
Dammon followed her instructions, and took a step forward. And soon enough, as if passing through a mirror, Dammon got inside in a world unbeknownst to him.
Emi's looked at him with strange eyes as she watches him pass through the barrier.
"Are you really a normal human?"
Dammon also wanted to ask that question but discarded it.
"I guess so?"
It was as if he had traveled into a different world. The sky was blue, and there were no suns from his sights. It's supposedly night time by now, and yet, the sky looks as if it was in the middle of the day.
And from miles away, a large wall that's as large as a tower expands into the horizon. He could barely see its end. A totally different world unfolds before his very eyes.
"Where are we..?"
Emi looked so troubled by his question.
"I didn't think you'd be able to pass through it…"
"Huh?"
"No… It's nothing. Anyways, welcome to the Exorcist Corps."
"Exorcist Corps..?"
Dammon's little dark pupils gleamed a hue as he looked at her with bright eyes like a child.
Emi didn't like the way he looked and ignored his remarks.
"Follow me, I'll show you around."
"Mhm."
Somehow, Dammon could feel her being uncomfy so he just kept quiet and followed behind her.
It took them almost an hour walking before they finally spotted a large dark gate, with two men wearing dark cloaks and tops guarding the gate from afar. And soon enough, they finally arrived in front of the gate. The two men recognized Emi and opened the gate for them.
The large gate slowly opened, revealing a town full of buildings made out of bricks and shops. There were lots of crowds everywhere. All of them were wearing a black uniform with a logo, and a cloak under it.
Dammon followed behind her as they started walking over the town. The buildings were like from the modern world, they were made of bricks and designed exactly like the buildings from the modern town.
Dammon glanced side by side and realized that some people weren't wearing black outfits. He wanted to ask Emi so badly why some weren't wearing all black, but were too scared to bother Emi in the meantime.
Emi glanced behind her before she opened her mouth to speak.
"The ones wearing all black were the ones attending the Academy. The others are ones who are not, probably either at their off duty or exorcists who don't attend the Academy but live here."
"Academy?"
"I'll explain to you once we get there."
The two of them walked in silence while Dammon glanced everywhere time by time. It didn't take long till they finally arrived at their destination.
"We're here now."
Emi stopped in front of a silver gate. When the guard inside saw her, he immediately opened the gate and welcomed them.
"Welcome back, Milady."
Milady??
Dammon stared at her with weird looks.
Emi ignored his stares and walked inside.
The Academy was really big. It was a four storey fancy building, which has 3 buildings like those connected to it.
It was as if he had gone to the most prestigious academy. It comes close to the University of Tokyo that only those with connections would be able to attend.
The hallway was so fancy yet simple. Quite amusing to see. The both of them continued walking until they reached the Principal's Office.
Emi opened the door and Dammon followed her inside.
"Ohh! What brings you here, Emi?"
Inside, there was a guy a white fancy uniform, and white cloak. His dark hair expanded until his waist, on the contrary, he looks like some kind of thug in the street, with his face full of scars.
The strange man looked behind Emi, and immediately knew the situation. However, despite that, he still chose to tease her.
"Oh, so you chose to finally bring your boyfriend with you~! I thought you were a tomboy! I'm so proud of you, Emi~!"
"Enough of your jokes…. You're the principal… Why would you give me this much trouble."
The strange man laughed at her irritated face and finally took it seriously.
"You can't really take a joke, don't you~! Anyways… Ahem!! Who's that person behind you with overflowing spiritual energy?"
"Overflowing..?"
Emi looked behind her and stared at Dammon. Dammon looked so confused in the process. She tried so hard to see, but there was nothing coming out from Dammon.
"It won't work. Focus and use your spiritual eyes."
Emi focused all her spiritual energy over her eyes. Her red eyes soon became cloaked with darkness.
