Ana gasped as the dogs that once lay on the floor life-less started to get up. A scene that was painfully familiar. "Not again," She thought as she felt her heart thumping against her chest-raging to get out.

From her periphery, a cold hand suddenly closed around her wrist. She almost gasped at the sheer contact. It held her with a firm but oddly gentle grip. She turned her head, her wide eyes meeting those of Valerian's. His face bore a determined expression, his brows furrowed with a mixture of resolve and anger. "Pull yourself together!" Valerian scolded her. His sharp tone cut through the chaos like a knife pulling Ana away from her intrusive thoughts.
