Jack walked to school,he was early.As he walked,he thought about Susan and ways to approach her and ask her out.He decided to start talking to her on the pretext of needing help with his studies and through that way get closer to her.Then he remembered Bill's warning and decided to steer clear until Bill forgets about it.
Jack was in Chemistry class, Susan was in the class too.Their schedules were basically the same except that while she had chosen French as her subject to replace gym,he had chosen History.Chemistry was actually the only class he took seating directly behind Susan.While the teacher was teaching,he wasn't paying attention, he was just admiring Susan.Though,he wasn't paying attention,he was confident that he will be able to answer any question asked him about the topic.In fact,he had read his chemistry textbook literally from cover to cover.Chemistry was his favourite subject and he planned on becoming a chemical engineer in future.
Before he knew it,the class had ended and he unconsciously followed Susan out of the classroom and into the corridor.He regained his senses when he saw Bill walking towards his direction.He quickly hid but to his utmost surprise, Bill wasn't coming for him,he met Susan and stopped her."what is it ?",she asked."Um...Er...I.. want to be your boyfriend".His hands were shaking uncontrollably.Jack could hear his heartbeat in the now quiet corridor.'How amusing!', Jack thought,' the "great and mighty"Bill fidgeting when talking to a girl'."Sorry to burst your bubble,but I'm not interested".She said then,she walked out.Bill walked out after some time his head bent in sorrow and shame.'So that's why he reacted that way when he saw me looking at Susan' , Jack thought, 'he also has a crush on her'."Well now she has rejected him, I can try my luck",he said to himself.
