Chapter 108: 108. ~Sssissssarrra~
There were just two days left of the summer vacation. Harry was checking his equipments that included his wand, Dagger, Vörn, his broom, some roosters in a specially prepared cage, a pouch filled with spy ants, and some specially prepared bow and Arrows.
" You have taken Felix Felicis, right?" Lily asked knowing how dangerous of a task he was going to attempt.
" Yes mom. Don't worry. I'm confident that I can deal with it." Harry assured his worried mom and others before making himself nearly untraceable and portaling in front of a snake-engraved sink tap in the second-floor girls' lavatory in Hogwarts.
He first checked and was happy to not find Myrtle's ghost there.
~ Open ~ Harry hissed in parseltongue and instead of directly jumping down, decided to try some fanon knowledge.
~ Stairs ~ And stairs really appeared. Harry cautiously started climbing down the stairs using his wand to light his surroundings. Upon reaching down he saw that huge snake skin and then the metal door with snakes being the locking mechanism.
' What kinds of weird fetishes did Salazar have..' Harry thought with disgusted expression.
Sighing, he again used Parseltongue to open the metal door but didn't enter immediately. He first used his mage sight as well as a few spells to check if there was any kind of danger, even under the water. He then took out his spy ants and sent them flying inside.
\ Bree, check for any danger or hidden chamber or passage or anything../ Harry remarked and waited for nearly 15 minutes before Bree replied that she didn't find anything dangerous.
Harry still cautiously entered the place, looking around, checking everything.
\ Those snakes are enchanted to attack on the orders of owner of the chamber.
And that statue of Salazar is also enchanted. If someone uses some secrets-revealing spell then they would get the password - ' Salazar Slytherin: Greatest of the Hogwarts four' . This password is for summoning the Basilisk../ Bree started detailing and what she said matched what Lily had told him.
Harry nodded but instead of going for the legacy directly, he first started drawing a big ritual circle on the ground using Vörn and Bree's help which was completed in just 2 minutes because of both of their cooperation.
Harry then called out the Basilisk and got ready for any kind of emergency.
~ Who called me out? ~ Harry heaved a sigh of relief after hearing the Basilisk talk. He could hear the anger in it's voice but atleast he was not dealing with a already mad and controlled by some dark lord Basilisk.
~ My name is Harry Potter and I called you out of your slumber. ~ Harry hissed looking directly in the Basilisk's eyes. He was not afraid that he would die, as he had been granted immunity against instant death by god.
Harry had also been observing the snake the whole time and found out what actually happened.
~ I'm not like that boy, Tom Riddle. You were fooled by him but I'm here to release you from the bindings he put onto you. ~ Harry spoke.
~ And why should I believe you. I have been foolish once but I will not make the same mistake again. ~ Basilisk said slythering towards him slowly.
Harry put the cage filled with roosters in front of himself making the Basilisk pause and hiss angrily.
~ If I want, I can kill you instantly by removing the silencing charm on this cage. I have many other methods of killing you while as you have seen, your killer eyes don't work on me. But if I can save you, then I'll do my best to save you.
I'm also Salazar and Rowena's descendant. And if you look carefully on the floor, then you will see a ritual circle that would help you to be free from all the previous bindings.
But I won't just let you go. You can cause unimaginable destruction with your powers. I'll help you to move to another place, my home, where you can stay freely and will also be fed plenty. ~ Harry said the truth while activating his aura to the maximum.
~ I'm willing if you take a magical oath, but know that if you deceive me, I will kill myself and do my best to hurt you as much as I can.~ The Basilisk hissed.
~ I'm willing to take the oath. But you will have to behave. I'm doing it not for myself, but for your sake. So don't give me this attitude. You might be the mighty king/queen of serpent for others, but it doesn't matter to me.
And the place I'm going to to take you already house a whole herd of Unicorns, a Cerberus and many house elves to take care of them. You will be fed as much as you want but you can't hurt anyone.
If you are ready, then let's do it. If not, then let's fight.. ~ Harry hissed coldly hearing it's tone. For a few minutes the Basilisk didn't say or do anything before lowering it's head slightly.
~ I apologise for my behaviour. If you are willing to take a magical oath then I'm willing to follow your arrangements.
I was deceived by that boy years ago as I was cordial towards him, not even thinking that some descendant of Salazar would fall so low.~ The Basilisk replied. Harry nodded and took the oath in parseltongue. He made sure to not include anything that could be used by the snake to backstab him even though he had already seen that it was sincere with it's apology and promise.
The Basilisk relaxed after Harry took the oath.
~ Thank you. I'll aid you in your endeavours for this huge invaluable favour.. ~ It said and allowed Harry to conduct the ritual which finally freed it from all the previous controls.
~ What is your name? ~ Harry asked after the ritual.
~ My name is Sisara. I'm a female Basilisk. ~ Sisara hissed.
~ Okay Sisara. You can just call me Harry. First tell me, would you be comfortable in an open space or something dark and dim like this chamber? ~ Harry asked.
~ After living here for so long, I don't think I'll be able to live comfortably under the bright sky. ~ Sisara said. Harry thought about it and let Sisara stay in the chamber for sometime in which he would create something like the chamber for her in his home.
