I walked in shame with my head down towards Madeline's table.
I couldn't stand the stares I was getting.
"Oh my god Cassie, what was that all about? And look at you, You're all filthy now. Why didn't you watch where you were going in the first place." Madeline said to me immediately I sat down.
"Yeah Cassie. This is no school to be clumsy, you should really watch your step. And to say that you spilled food on Sage of all people, that is just terrible." Stacy said to me.
"Wait are you guys really taking her side? She literally dumped food on me. Intentionally!" I tried to reason with them.
"Well to be fair, you did spill food on her first. So... It's kinda your fault." David added.
"Oh come on! It was by accident. I made a mistake but she... she dumped food on me knowingly!" I said to them.
David scratched his head while Stacy and Madeline couldn't look me in the eye.
I turned over to Richie and Monique.
"Come on guys, back me up." I said to them.
"If I'm to be honest, what she did wasn't right. You made a mistake and no one is above mistakes. And besides you apologized to her. I mean I like sage and all but I'm not biased." Richie said to me.
"Yeah I'm with Richie on this. She was just wrong for embarrassing you like that." Monique also said.
"Thank you! Both of you. It's nice to know I have two reasonable friends I can count on in this school." I say to them both and gave the rest a mean look.
"Oh come on. We're also your friends. It's just that this is Sage we're talking about here. I did tell you to stay away from her the other day." Stacy said to me.
"Wait, Sage? Like Damon's sister slash Richie's secret crush sage?" I asked to confirm
"Aw so you were paying attention after all." Stacy said to me and gave me a grin.
"Ofcourse. I'm a good listener." I replied.
"Duly noted." Stacy said and gave me a wink.
How does a wink relate to what we were talking about...
"Ok ok ok. I've heard enough sage talk. Come on Cassie, let's go get you cleaned up. You still have an appointment to attend to." Madeline said and stood up from her chair.
"Joy killer!" Stacy hollered and everyone started laughing at Madeline.
"Haha very funny." Madeline said sounding unimpressed.
I Shaked my head at Stacy and made my way out of the cafeteria with Madeline.

When we got back to our dorm, I quickly took another shower as my hair was ricking of spaghetti and sauce thanks to sociopath Sage.
I changed into another cloth and then Madeline and I made our way to her mom's office.
After walking for some time, we finally got there.
Madeline opened up the door and both of us went inside.
Her mom was already there , sitting on her desk. Seems like she was waiting for us.
"Child. It's nice to see you again." her mom said to me as soon as we came close.
"Thanks." I replied.
"I hope you're not finding anything difficult for you here. And I hope my daughter has shown you around the school a little bit." her mom asked me.
"Yes. Everything's great. And Madeline is the best tour guide ever." I said and looked at Madeline for a second and she smiled at me.
"I'm glad about that. Um Madeline, could you excuse us for some time. I'll call you back in when we're done." her mom dismissed Madeline.
Madeline left the office, leaving just me and her mother.
"I believe you have a lot of questions for me. let's hear them."
"Just one question. How do I have this powers? Why do I have them?"I asked her.
"I need you to try and understand what I'm going to tell you now." She said to me while standing from her chair.
She came closer to me.
"Okay. I'm listening." i said to her.
"Before you were born, it was seen in a prophecy that you would posses the fifth element. And We were worried that we had a traitor amongst us then so we had to send you somewhere safe before any harm could come to you." she said calmly to me.
"Oh wow. Wait are you trying to tell me that my mom also has powers like you guys here?" I asked her.
"Yes. Your real mother did have powers just like everyone else. She had the magic of water element. And You look just like her." she said and smiled at me.
"Okay but Why are we talking about my mom in past tense. She's still alive and well." I said to her.
"Look Cassie. Your real mother died while giving birth to you. None of us were fit to raise the fifth element at that time. So We decided to let you leave a normal life with your mom." she said to me.
I tried to understand what she had just said to me.
"Wait, what exactly are you trying to say? That the mother that raised me into who I am today and gave me everything I needed, isn't really my mom? Is that what you're telling me." I tried to remain calm.
What sort of joke is this?
"I'm sorry this was kept from you child. But we did it because it was best for you at the time. But you're here now, all grown up. It's time you know who you really are." She said to me and I started stepping backwards away from her.
"You're lying to me. I know you are. If you didn't want to answer any of my questions, you could have just said so instead of cooking up this lie." I said to her and turned my back to walk away from her but my legs were suddenly suck to the ground. I couldn't move my feet anymore.
"What the hell. I'm stuck? How is this happening? Wait you're doing this aren't you?" I said with my back still turned to her.
This must be another trick of earth magic.
"I'm sorry but I can't let you leave just like that, without us resolving this." she came and stood infront of me.
"How could you tell me that my mom isn't really my mom?" I said with a shaky voice.
"Because it is the truth dear. I didn't tell you that to make you feel bad, I only told you because I wanted you to know nothing but the truth about yourself. About who you truly are." She said to me calmly.
"So all my life has been a lie? How could my mom not tell me about this. How could she hide this from me all this time." I said with tears pooling up in my eyes.
"Oh my dear. I'm so sorry you didn't know about this. About everything. But I promise you that from now on, I'll be here for you. Whatever you may need." She said and hugged me.
The door suddenly flew open, and Madeline walked in. She paused for a minute when she saw her mom hugging me.
"Sorry to bother, Mom? Your audience is needed by Mrs Raider. Her messenger sounded like it was urgent." Madeline said.
"Okay. I'll be right there. And you Cassie, it was great talking to you. Come by next time. Okay?" her mom said to me and gave me a little shoulder rub before going towards her desk.
I checked if my leg could move again and thankfully it was no longer stuck.
I made my way out of her office and Madeline followed me.
We both went back to our dorm.
On our way, I noticed that Madeline was awfully quiet which was unlike her.
I didn't comment on it till we were in our dorm.
"Is everything okay with you? You've been quiet." I said to her while arranging my bed.
"I'm fine." she replied
The reply seemed off to me.
"Are you sure? Is there something bothering you?" I asked her.
"I said I'm fine Cassie. Just let it go. Okay?" she said to me and put her earphones on.
I nodded to myself and dived in on my bed.
I have a lot to think about anyways.
I didn't know how to feel about the information I just received today about my own Mom.
I wondered who my dad might be as well.
This is all so overwhelming.
