Chapter 41: Weaving Time and Space
Arriving at the kitchen I saw a Dragon sleeping on top of the dinner table and around him was full of empty plate. Seeing the person I want to meet is now not in the condition to answer my question.
"hey Raiya, you're here, hurry up and take a seat, lunch is almost ready."
hearing her words I took a seat near Saul, while also cleaning the plates that was scatter around the table.
after cleaning the plates I woke Saul up.
the dragon yawn and finally opened it's eyes and turn his head towards me.
"what do you want Kid?"
"first there will be a job for you, I will leave the preparation for the Dungeon Master Competition, and second I want to ask you about something regarding space and time attribute."
"sure, you can leave the preparation for me, I don't know what the competition event, but I can do a general preparation so you will be ready for any event." after reassuring me he continue to ask. "so what the problem with space and time attribute?"
"I don't know how to explain it, but I can show you."
I focus my sense and the string in the started to become visible again, slowly I pick a single thread and started to manipulate it with my mana.
Saul notice the fluctuation of space attribute surrounding me was twisting.
He gather his mana and disturb the flow suddenly without warning.
"Kid, tell me Immediately what happen when you're sleeping."
"I entered a Inheritance Realm."
"it seems you inherit a powerful person Legacy, what's the price you need to pay for it?"
"I don't know, when the person who guard the realm he ask me what is my desire, I answer to live without regret."
"then it will be hard to determine for now, since your desire may sound simple but it is hard to achieve."
"because of my vague desire, but does it come to bite me in the long run?"
"no, Inheritance Realm are a place that will screen the price of the inheritance it self, so you will be fine."
"then back to the topic what did I just manipulate?"
Saul explain that the string I see was the path that between nodes, it is just like a road the connect each city, Saul continue that manipulating the path is easier because the energy that is use is far less than the nodes.
but at the same time the path itself is hard to detect and because of that not many can access it until the 10th Tier, where those in this tier can detect the smallest fluctuation since their conscience is very strong and firm.
"so your saying I can manipulate the most delicate part of space itself, then next question, what is the line I am seeing right in front of me."
I reach out my finger and flow my mana towards it.
the plate started to deteriorate slowly.
"ok stop there kid, I know what you did, just like space attribute, Eternael has talent to manipulate Time itself, the thing you manipulate is the Time attribute."
"so what can I do with it?"
"I don't know I can still teach you about space, but time is a different matter."
"it seems I can only research it on my own."
"don't worry kid, with me here I can watch over you so you won't fall into danger."
"well thanks, so what is there any clue where to start, at least I know I can use this power to fast forward or slowdown my movement, but I don't know any other way."
"can't you use this to make the enemy equipment to become useless junk if you touch them?"
"well it seems possible."
both of us discussing some way of using it, and the limitation of this power, the space attribute was very versatile since I can manipulate the string and use it as a sharp sword if I vibrate it.
on the other hand the time attribute can only be manipulate with if I have physical touch, since I can manipulate the time the target, can I absorb the time and save it or redirect it to someone or something else.
"Raiya, it is time to eat first, Saul there's more steak in the back, I can also bring it out for you if you want."
"thank you Little girl, if only this lover of yours, act the same way."
Auriel started to blush because of Saul teasing.
She tried to hide her blush by going back to the kitchen and bringing Saul his meal.
"thanks Auriel for cooking the meal for me and Saul."
"no problem Raiya." showing the a beautiful smile on her face, making the atmosphere a bit romantic.
"you kids can flirt on your date, don't flirt in front of me, it makes me jealous."
"oho, does the powerful dragon king doesn't have experience in romantic relationship?"
"what, do you have a problem with that, I was focused on strength and ruling my territory."
"Raiya, don't bully Saul anymore, he is already old and dead, you should respect him more."
hearing her words both of us thought, aren't you being even more disrespectful.
"why are you two being so silent?"
seeing her clueless expression, I thought it seems even though she has and aura of intellectual beauty, she has an airhead attribute to her self.
the both of us are enjoying our lunch time, having conversation here and there, giving a relaxing feeling that was rare these days.
