Chapter 10: "Training" with friends pt2

"Someone, feel the legs," Conner said, panting. "I don't feel anything in my body; everything hurts," Megan said with a sigh. "Don't look at me, I can't move. I told you, Conner, this is for a raid of dozens of heroes," I said, growling. "I thought it would be fun. I didn't expect those waves of Fire Demons in the middle of the fight," he said, laughing. "Yeah, funny. I want to eat pizza. Does anyone else want pizza?" I said, laughing. "I want one with Albaca," Megan said, raising her hand, trying to get up. "Don't look at me. I want some fries and a hamburger," Conner said, standing up. "The restaurant in the port that we always go to," I said, standing up in pain, moving my hand to heal ourselves.

This is how the day ends with the three of us going to the restaurant in the port that we always go to. Something interesting is that my grandfather put the shares that mom had in my name and the Asher family savings.

That night, Robin, Aqualad, and Flash were in Star City at the port following Speedy.

That night, a smuggling operation was taking place in the port. Brick, a Green Lantern enemy and meta-human, was supervising the deal with his thugs. It was a shipment of laser weapons. When the thugs loaded the weapons, a concussive arrow stuck into the floor and exploded, causing the guns and two thugs to be knocked down. One of the weapons landed at Brick's feet. He kicked it up and grabbed it, checking all the high places with the gun, looking at Speed.

"You again! It is an insult that the Green Arrow does not come to capture me personally," he shouted, shooting at Speed, who was dodging him. In one of the dodges, Speed made a deadly turn, taking an explosive arrow from the quiver and shooting it at Brick in the weapon, making it fly without doing anything to him, only making him angrier.

"You know what a suit in my size costs," he turned his head, "Burn the earth, guys!" He yelled, as the thugs raised their weapons. Kid Flash and two Batarangs disarmed the minions, and Robin bobbed laughing to the ship, where Aqualad came out, and I hit them with a water whip that I condensed into their water carriers.

Seeing this, Brick dug his hands into the concrete and pulled out a large portion of the concrete. Speedy fired another explosive arrow at Brick, without causing any damage. Brick, angry, threw the rubble. Aqualad jumped and cut him in half.

"The cave is perfect; it has everything the team will need," Aqualad said, sheathing his weapons. Robin fell into the box next to Speed.

"For covert missions and spy things," Robin said excitedly.

"She's also waiting to see the New Ones: Superboy, Archangel, and Miss Martian. But I saw her first," said Chico Flash, fooling around after going up.

Brick grabbed another piece of rubble and threw it furiously. The four heroes dodged, while Aqualad demolished the concrete. Speedy fired three explosive arrows into Brick's chest, with Brick losing his balance but still okay.

"The Arrow shouldn't send boys to do a man's job," Brick said mockingly, quickly drawing another arrow.

Brick confidently opened his arms, standing up. "Go ahead," he said confidently, expecting another explosive shot. But instead, a brown foam came out of it, enveloping the villain. Kid Flash ran in front of Speedy, "cool high-density polyurethane foam," he said with a thumbs up. Speedy ignored him and turned around.

"You're in fast," Robin said, leaning on the boxes.

"I'm done, I'm done with the Arrow and the League telling me what to do. I don't need a babysitter or a club to spend time with other children. The Justice League Jr. is a joke, something to keep them busy and in their place. I don't want to be part of this," he said, leaving the three heroes surprised and thoughtful, wondering if his words were true.

Meanwhile, the other trio of friends were at the port restaurant eating without knowing what was happening with their other companions.

The next day, we were early having breakfast in the kitchen on the mountain, since Conner and Megan stayed there, and I live a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the hangar. The first to arrive was Aqualad. We heard him from the announcement of the Boom Tube, "Recognized Aqualad B02."

When Aqualad arrived, he noticed the smell of something cooking and went to the kitchen.

"Good morning, I thought I would be the first to arrive," greeted Aqualad.

Megan smiled, "Good morning Aqualad, Conner and I are staying in the mountains, and Ethan lives near the entrance of the hangar."

Aqualad noticed that Megan said our names and not our code names. I got up when I heard the sound of the doorbell as she was taking out a blueberry pie and an apple pie.

"Good morning Aqualad, have you had breakfast, or do you want some? Megan and I were making some apple pies and another blueberry pie," I said, taking the trays from both of them.

"It may be possible for me to take a piece. What time did you get here?" Aqualad said, sitting down at the table, while Megan cut a piece and served it.

"Usually, we're up at 5 in the morning for morning training," Conner said, sipping his coffee.

"Morning training? Since when do they train?" Aqualad said surprised.

"For days, since Ethan's grandfather left a virtual practice room where we can train in various missions," Megan said quite happily.

"Wait, do we have a virtual practice chamber?" Aqualad said surprised. The truth was that they had not set foot on the base in all this time.

"Yes, my grandfather left it installed the day after we were introduced. You should have seen Batman's face when he found out that someone took part of the mountain and left a square with a note," I said, laughing at the memory.

"It's great. It has hundreds of practice scenarios, evacuation situations, catastrophes, end of the world," Megan said, with Conner nodding.

"That's interesting. So you've been training in that room for 10 days?" Aqualad said impressed.

"Yes, in addition to what Black Canary taught us, we are taking the matter of the team and the missions seriously," Conner said, finishing his coffee, making Aqualad realize that they did not bother to meet the rest of the team, train, or unite them.

"Conner, enough. Let's have breakfast and show Aqualad the room," Megan said as if she were the mother of Superboy. The truth was that they were both interested, and Megan was protective of her teammates, especially after having gone through the hellish training of 10 days.

After eating quickly, we took Aqualad to the living room, and he saw the training list, including Trigon, Azazel, Beelzebub, and other very dangerous names on the list.

"Some dangerous names are on that list, but Trigon, I don't know," Aqualad said. He didn't recognize the name, mostly because Trigon wasn't interested in the land yet.

"A rather terrible Demon. They tried to seal him so that he would not consume dimensions, but in the end, they failed and gave him more power. But instead, he cannot travel between dimensions to consume them. Now he has to have a child to access reincarnating in them," I said seriously, with Aqualad surprised.
