Chapter 2: Dilemma
Chapter – 2
"W.. what?" Is all she stuttered with a confused look on her face.
Now as the name the chapter suggests I'm in a dilemma, if I should actually go through with this or not because its clear that she really cares about me or this body. Maybe she is the mother?
'Unless she is pretending to care' supplies a dark part of my paranoid brain not helping in the least.
'Don't be a wuss man' I say to myself as this is scenario I have imagined/fantasized many a times in my daydreams.
"My head really hurts a.. and I don't remember anything. I have no recol- memory of anything, not even my name, so....." I stretch it out a bit, to make an impact "I don't know who you are or who I am." It takes her nineteen seconds to come to process that I guess which I count and she continues to stare at my face before she erupts and starts weeping while pulling me in again, more tightly this time.
"It will be fine, everything is gonna be alright" aaaand she continues balling her eyes out while trying to soothe me (unsuccessfully might I add).
Another peculiar thing I realize is I am calm, too calm.
'Status' I immediately think because when I think of calm in isekai Gamer's Mind come to mind. Nothing happens.
I am pulled out of my thoughts and woman's bossoms. I look at her and she has stopped crying but tears are still staining her face. We are surrounded by almost everyone, some are looking at me with pity, some are smirking and sneering (the flat group I note).
"Ori, do you really remember nothing? what about me, do you remember me?" A plump woman with blonde hair asks me, looking a bit concerned? I guess.
"Oh you?" I say it like I seem to recognize her and her eyes lit up "I have no idea" I say dashing all her hopes. Few people chuckle at that and kids out right start laughing.
"ORI!!!" My mother...? exclaim at my not that funny joke
"What? I just said I don't even remember anything. She is not paying attention" I say in a bit playful manner.
"This is not a laughing matter. Your aunt was very worried about you." She calms down says smoothly by the end of the sentence. Maybe my joke did work.
"I am tired and want to rest for now my head still hurts badly" I say as I sigh
"Do you really not remember me?" She asks after a couple of seconds already dreading the answer if her eyes getting wet again is something to go on.
"I am really sorry. Maybe I will get my memories back when my head stops hurting."
"Aye. You should go in and rest, I will bring healer to check on you."
I just nod and walk back inside the hut where I woke up.
"Poor boy" "Serves them right" I immediately turn around to see who said that, it came from the Flat group but I don't know who said it.
"Fuck" I curse frustrated and annoyed by the situation. I can already see the changes i have gone through, to name a few, I can think faster, Process faster, see clearly, am too calm, and best of all i have improved memory, I didn't have stage fear but I did get nervous for few seconds.
But all this doesn't change the fact that I am scared. Scared that this is me hallucinating, my real body is doing what i am doing here, that i am being watched. It does not end here i can remember everything from previous life better but i am missing the emotional attachments.
Maybe there were better ways to handle the situation outside.
*Sigh Nothing can be done now. The clothes are made of skins and grass maybe i can't really tell but the clothes tell me the time period well enough. Houses or huts now are not big but they seem to made from ground, quite literally, they don't have finishing as they are not smooth, the window is literally broken wall.
It doesn't even have a door just a wooden plank beside the door.
Ugh I need more info and i have a good idea where to get it.

Few minutes later after talking/being consoled/advised thee woman who I assume Is the mother comes in the hut and sees me sitting by the wall. She comes near me and sits down.
"Ori, How are you feeling."
"I am alright except the headache when I try to remember something, anything."
"No Ori if it hurts you don't force yourself to r.. remember. You said you will remember later so it is fine." She smiles or tries to at least
"I am sorry but can you tell me somethings about myself, yourself and common things."
"Aye. You are my son, Ori and me your mother, Ren. And and and you are 11 years old and and.." I can see she is sstruggling very hard but trying to keep a strong front.
"Thank you. How about this I will ask you questions and you answer them, ok?"
"o k? what is o k?" She asks a bit confused.
"…It means do you agree?"
"oh aye, but how did you learn this?"
"I just know" yeah I have no idea how to handle this.
"So what happened to me?"
"You were playing with other kids and fell from tree. Those kids called me and healer for help, I was scared when I saw you bleed on ground, you were not opening your eyes." Her eyes moistens again
"I see. What about my father, where is he?"
"Your father…uh… left me after kushi me. He was traveller."
"kushi?" I ask slowly
"aye kushi."
"What is kushi?"
"Oh you don't remember that too? Kushi is you came to me. How everyone comes to the world." She starts a little sad but finishes with a smile.
"Ohk" I whisper
'So its sex but they call it kushi, got it. Now that I think about it I am just a kid so….'
"How is kushi done?" I ask but the love of god can't control the smile that form on my face. Hearing my question or seeing me smile her smile brightens.
