Chapter 2: Family
Amden and Cilia walked downstairs and reached the dining hall. There was a massive rectangular table placed in the centre of the hall and was loaded with all kind of delicacies. On the table were four people.
On the one end of the table was an Old man with pitch black hair and black eyes. He appeared in his eighties but was much more older. He was Dramon Vantistart. The Grandfather of Amden and a SSS Rank. One of the strongest person of the planet. He was the real pillar and the foundation on which the Vantistart family was standing.
On his right side was a woman of Similar age. She was Clara Samaila, grandmother of Amden.
She was a SS rank. Although her Samaila family was not as powerful as the Vantistart, it was an extremely strong family. Clara had the red hair the basic trait of Samaila family and indication of her high grade affinity to fire element.
On the left of Dramon was Rexon Vantistart, father of Amden. He was a peak S rank and was the current head of the Vantistart consortium. He was a ruthless businessman but was extremely loving of his family.
Next to Rexon was Lily Louisa, mother of Amden. She had purple amethyst eyes and white hairs. Louisa family was at the same level of Vantistart. She was also a peak S rank.
The marriage of Lily and Rexon had caused a stir as it was a marriage between two extremely powerful families and their heirs. Lily was the only daughter of the current Louisa family head and was destined to be next head of Louisa family.
In the age of mana the lifespan of people has increase manifold but giving birth had also become difficult. This maintained a stable population.
This all situation made Amden extremely special. He was a single heir to two elite families. Although the world knew about his existence as Amden rarely made any public appearance. Other than his name not much information was available about him.
Even other elite families knew nothing about him. He was not like other kids from the elite families acting arrogant and showing off in public.
Amden was calm, composed and focused. He had two life experiences and he knew that a powerful person was a single mistake away from losing all of his accumulated power.
He didn't wanted to indulge in these stupid things. This habit of Amden of staying away from limelight caused a rumor that Amden was neither talented nor intelligent. That is the reason why Vantistart are trying to hide him. Some rivals of the Vantistart were also behind the reason of the rumor. But neither Amden nor his family took it seriously.
On seeing Amden smile appeared on everyone's face. For Amden of previous life family love was a pipe dream but in this life he was the life of these four people. And Amden cherished to it heart.
Lily smiled and started, "Come and seat my dear son. You made us wait so long."
Amden just smiled and sat in front of his mother. Cilia followed suit and sat next to Amden.
Clara then teased Cilia, "Cilia were you two doing some naughty stuff?"
This made Cilia's face red. She just pouted and could only mutter, "Grandma you."
Amden maintained his stoic face. He was used to his grandma's antics.
Cilia referred to them as Grandfather, grandmother, father and mother after the Vantistart insisted to her for so long. She was adamant on calling them master. But they couldn't make her call Amden by his name. She reasoned that since she work for him she must call him Young Master. Finally everyone had to let her do as she wished. She was also the apple of fhe eyes of these 4 people.
Dramon then spoke, "Amden eat well and don't be nervous. Everything will go well."
He was talking about awakening.
Everyone's face turned a bit stoic. All the awakening was generally safe but accidents could never be ruled out. And for Amden who was heir to two elite families a lot of expectations were placed on his shoulders.
Rexon then added, "Son Everything will go well."
What he kept in his mind and didn't spoke was that even if Amden came as mediocre person, his family of four were always going to be present for him. They would always hold his back.
Although everyone was a bit nervous they had the same emotion going in their hearts.
