Chapter 3: Awakening

These six people moved towards one of the training halls.

Awakening was a simple process. In this process one had to absorb the mana for the first time and circulate the mana inside their body. The measure of talent was the amount of mana the person absorbed in the first sitting. Larger the amount greater was said to be the talent.

Ordinary people or commoners generally visited different organizations to get awakened. These organizations charged a hefty sum of money to assist in the awakening. This also served as source of manpower of them as they could recruit talented people into their organization. And since the commoners were generally unaware of many things these predatory organizations were on the profitable end while signing the recruitment contract.

Soon the Vantistart family reached the hall. Once inside the hall Amden spoke, "Grandpa I don't want any outsider to witness my awakening."

This made everyone confused. But they assumed that Amden was nervous for his awakening. They thought that he doesn't want to embarrass himself if his talent comes out to be mediocre. Only if they knew how wrong they were.

Dramon didn't speak anything and just nodded. Every single person except the 5 Vantistarts and Cilia left the hall and with Dramon present their someone spying was not even a possibility.

Amden sat cross legged and then his father took out a SSS rank mana stone. Even for elite families SS rank mana stone was extreme rare and probably only 1 or 2 of direct descendants might have used SS rank to awaken. But SSS rank was unheard. It was among the most valuable treasures in the world. Higher the grade of the mana stone purer the energy and larger the amount could be absorbed.

Amden was stunned seeing the stone. He was not surprised at the fact that his father was giving something like that to him but by the fact that his family possessed something that valueable.

Even before Rexon could place the stone in Amden's hand, Amden spoke, " Father you should keep it for yourself or for grandma. This will raise your strength greatly. Even if I use SS mana stone it won't make a much difference."

But Rexon paid no heed to his words. For him Amden's awakening was more important than anything.

Seeing the reaction of his family Amden understood that he could not convince them without telling some truth so he spoke again, "Father for me this stone is useless. One stone is not enough for me. Anyhow I will have to absorb the SS ones. Keep it for yourself."

Everyone was stunned. Clara spoke before anyone ,"Amden you know what are you saying? One SSS stone is not sufficient. Even for me absorbing SSS rank would take enough time and you say its mana would not be enough."

Amden knew explaining things was difficult. He just said, " Grandpa, grandma, father, mother, Cilia just trust me."

Everyone looked into each other eyes then Rexon finally spoke, "Fine we trust you."

They all were extremely excited because if what Amden said was really true then a never seen prodigy was going to walk on this earth. Now they also guessed why he asked that only his family be present.

Amden didn't informed about his such large requirements earlier because he knew that his family in their storage ring carried enough mana stones for him.

Rexon took out 3 SS rank from his storage ring. Dramon who was able to absorb almost 2 SS stones during his awakening was considered to be a rare genius. Now Amden was going to surprise them.

Amden took one stone in hand and Dramon stood behind him to guide in his first circulation.

Amden then started circulating Universal Origin Scripture and mana rushed into his body. He had tempered his body from outside for 4 years and his body has now become a dry well. In no time the first circulation was complete.

Everyone's face widened in horror seeing this speed at which he was absorbing. They all went extremely nervous. Amden absorbed the 1st SS rank stone in just 2 hours. For Dramon to do that he had taken 8 hours. Amden then picked up the next one. In another 3 hours he had almost absorbed the second one. This speed was insane. Amden then picked up the 3rd one.

After another 2 hours he had absorbed half the third stone. Now blood had started to flow from his body cleaning all the impurities in his bodies. His element were not awakened yet. The elements generally awakened when one reached their maximum capacity. Amden continued to absorb the mana. After the 3rd stone Dramon took out 4 SS stones and placed near Amden. Amden continued for hours and had absorbed 5 stones completely and was on his 6th stone. His body was covered in blood. Everyone their was fearful and nervous. Amden had surpassed any previous known record by a great margin. All of them were now waiting for his elements to awaken.
