Chapter 6: Chapter 6: Training (1)
"Kahahah, amazing!"
He could hardly believe his eyes, laughing like a madman. Having two attributes is something this world has never heard of. It is an unwritten law in this world that every living being can only have one attribute, and the only exception to this rule was apparently Cassian himself. His hands trembled with such excitement that the empty mana stone in his right hand almost slipped from his grasp.
"Sigh, I should probably calm down" Cassian murmured, sighing and tapping his left hand against his rapidly pounding heart.
He took a deep breath before returning his focus to the glowing stone in the palm of his hand. It was a mistake for him to let himself get carried away and forget what he wanted to accomplish.
He closed his eyes, concentrating on the white shining attribute. Subconsciously, he clenched his hands tightly.
He allowed his mind to perceive the attribute and let his instincts run freely.
He felt it's clean and gentle force of nature.

[Purification]
All over his body, he could feel the warmth and gentleness that was radiating out from the attribute. Even though his body was at peace, his mind was in a state of turmoil as all the different uses of the attribute were constantly passing through his mind.
Purification can be used for a variety of purposes. Whether it is the cleansing of toxic substances or the ability to heal, it gives a great advantage in combat.
"Hmmm....I should still be careful to only use one of my attributes in presence of people.... I can already imagine all the potential issues that would arise if people found out I have two attributes... how annoying" Cassian complained, while playing with an unkempt strand of hair with a noticeable frown on his face.
In his experience, there will always be people in the world who are greedy and envious, and even if other people have to suffer, they will do anything to keep their power. Even though Cassian is by no means weak, as long as there are people who are stronger than him, he would never be foolish enough to reveal it.
"Damn it!, I'm overthinking again... I'd better concentrate on getting stronger," he said, holding out his hand with the palm facing the clouds.
Cassian could hardly wait to put his skills to the test. In his opinion, instead of making plans for the future, he should focus on his own increase in power, because it's never a bad idea to get stronger, no matter what kind of world you find yourself in.
As he concentrated the mana in his body, Cassian felt the warmth flow from his core to the palm of his hand until a tiny flame blazed in the center of his open palm. The flame flickered as if it wanted to greete Cassian in a beautiful, bright orange dance of joy.
"Oh...it's beautiful," he said in an overjoyed voice.
Mana is more impressive than he expected. He could feel the absolute control he had over the flame within his entire being.
He admired the flame for a moment before continuing his experiment.
His concentration was on the use of his attributes with the flame. The flame in his hand flickered for a moment, and then suddenly, the orange-colored flame turned as black as the night.
There was an aura of destruction and death attached to the flame. The only purpose it had was to return everything to its primordial state.
to absolutely nothing
It was the Decay attribute.
"Not bad... but it's more dangerous than I expected," he muttered with a complicated look on his face.
He admired the black flame for a moment before focusing on his other attributes. The complete opposite of Decay.
Suddenly, like a snowy landscape, the flame that was colored in total darkness turned white.
A touching warmth full of life radiated from the white flame.
Like nature itself, it was pure and strong
it was purification
Cassian was enchanted for a moment by the purity of the white flame, he could feel how his body was becoming cleaner and healthier. Although these two attributes are in complete opposition to each other, they possess an unexpected harmony.
"Death and Life... I wonder what happens if I use them both at the same time," he said, smiling mischievously.
First, he restored the flame to its original color, then he added his [Decay] and [Purification] to the flame at the same time, creating a flame that was one half black as night and the other half white as snow.
In Cassian's hand, the black and white flame danced in perfect harmony.
"Hmmm...I was expecting something completely different...a bit disappointing, I thou- holy shit what is happening here!" exclaimed Cassian with a perplexed voice. The flame flickered uncontrollably, suddenly turning blood-red with wrath and chaos.
The blood-red flame grew increasingly unstable until Cassian felt his control over the flame slipping away.
His entire body screamed with danger as he instinctively panicked and threw the flame towards the sky. The blood-red flame soared into the air at an incredible speed before exploding in a devastating explosion a split second later.
Cassian was able to instinctively throw himself to safety, although he had a few minor injuries and his clothes were covered in dust and dirt, he still had a crazy smile on his face.
"Hahah...that was amazing!" he laughed, smiling innocently, though his vision was obscured by the dust in the air and his ears were ringing from the explosion, he could still perceive the damage from the blood red flame.
The tops of the trees in the area were completely destroyed. The pressure generated by the explosion tore the stone plates from the training ground, making them look like spider webs all over the ground.
"Ah... I better get out of here before someone finds me ... who knows with my bad luck my new mother might come here ... and what happens after that I don't even want to imagine," Cassian said with a carefree tone.
He made his way back to the villa with a casual walk, but before he completely left the training ground, he took a look at the damage caused by the explosion with a thoughtful look. His eyes scanned the area around him intensely with a look that was full of questions.
"I'm not sure, but that bloody red flame reminds me a bit of the power the bad guys used in the novel... That would be crazy, wouldn't it?" Cassian muttered to himself with an indescribable look on his face.
The bad guys in this world would be better described as members of a cult.
Crazy people who see a demonic beast as their deity
And all of them in this cult have given up their attributes in order to use a more dangerous and destructive power, full of hate and chaos.
A force that is drenched in a blood-red color.
Very similar to that of Cassian
