Chapter 4: The Past, The Present and The System!?
*Knock Knock*
"Mr. Zhang can you hear me?" The stewardess of the hotel called out to Nan'Ke. She didn't know what happened but she heard from the bartender that he just left the restaurant without eating even half of the food he order and seeing he didn't make an order for his dinner she got worried that something might have happened and possibly the last thing she wanted in the hotel, the possibility of him dying.
*Groans* "Ugghh." *Heavy breathing*
"What the fuck, this shit actually happened again, but I'm sure I was careful…Ughh." "Fuck I'm starving." "Mr. Zhang are you okay?" Hearing movement in the room the stewardesses call out once more, upon hearing her voice Nan'Ke acknowledged her question and replied while also asking for a full platter for dinner cause he was so fucking hungry that he felt like his stomach was a black hole.
Seeing he responded the stewardess quickly handled Nan'Ke order, she put a rush on it since it was a special order, the full platter consisted of every dinner item on the menu and although the Attaché hotel give you a free dinner that only goes for one item on the menu. Now Nan'Ke would have to pay an extra $750 to cover the cost of the meal, which is not bad considering all items on the menu adds up to $900 if someone orders it separately and is not a guest at the hotel.
Now he is currently sitting on the bed thinking about what is happening to him. As it had been told before this was not the first time he felt the tremendous heat within him however it was the second time he had blacked out.
2 Years Ago
On a springs afternoon, a boy 16 years old was walking through the park on his way to the orphanage. He wasn't particularly happy about going back there but he had to remain content as there was nowhere else he can go. For some reason he was never adopted which he found strange because he had met potential adopters before and they had great interest in him. But for whatever rhyme or reason it never did pan out, he held out suspicion that the orphan director was behind his so call lack of adoption. 'He probably only keeps me because of the money I bring to the orphanage and the worst part is he isn't even using the money to improve the children lives just keeping the money for himself.' 'I don't even get the money, but I do have a roof over my head and I do eat everyday so I can't complain much and don't have power to stand up or change the current status quo. Just two more years…just two more.'
Nan'Ke is famous in Zhu county, a district within Shan prefecture and 1 hour drive away from Mu city, where the orphanage is located. The prefecture is medium sized compared to the capital city or those surrounding it with only 2 cities, 2 counties and 1 village on its outskirts. However it's a popular area within Long country for its state of the art architecture, schools and the port and to an extension the beach.
Known as the child prodigy winning official contest in creative writing, placing first in junior mathematics competitions and also winning a debate on social constructs with a group of other students from his high school which is Zhu Yan First High School. The highlight was one of the debate replies must be given in English and to Nan'Ke who was proficient in the language speaking like an old man with a hint of an accent from United Brits Nation made it seem like light work.
However the famous Nan'Ke who never got to play or enjoy being a kid since he shown his genius at 6 years old, he really just wanted to roam free on the playground like the other kids. Even though he is older now and almost an adult he still has that child in that just want to roll around in mud. Making his was through the orphanage Nan'Ke pass a trophy cabinet with all his accolades, he doesn't even get to keep them in his room. It's displayed for all those parents who are coming to adopt for in hopes the parents believe that the orphanage raise geniuses.
Nan'Ke makes his way into to the study where he would go over todays lesson before being taught by the orphanage director until it's dinner time, and he would then continue after dinner until it was bedtime which for him was until he completed the task set by the director.
As the director comes in to give him his study tasks like any other day, Nan'Ke begins the usual routine as he is just going through the motions as of now. His thoughts are on wanting to escape his current predicament 'damn I'm tired of this, it only worksheet here, culture literature there; mathematics now and science later. Would it be better not being here, if I'm not here I can live my way but where would I get money though I'm still a kid in society eyes and the government wouldn't give me money until I turn eighteen and my prize money this bastard has taken all.' 'Would it be better to not exist at all?' As Nan'Ke anger and frustrated builds against the director who is just sitting there with a smug look on his face watching Nan'Ke. Seeing that look Nan'Ke rages boils even more and his body ran hot like literally, it's like a volcano has been awaken within him. As he feels the heat he gets even more angry and the pain hurts so bad that all the frustration that he had build just got released as he screams "AHHHHHHHH" "MAKE IT STOP" "STOP, STOP IT." Shook by what was taking place the director got up and ran to Nan'Ke to calm him down but just as he reach out a wave of an indescribable energy got release form Nan'Ke with him shouting "UGHHHH AHHHHHH." The energy blast sent the director crashing backwards hitting the wall hard knocking him out while Nan'Ke himself fainted.
Present Time
Remembering what happened, a cold sweat covered Nan'Ke face. He just got finished eating, he is still hungry but it's bearable, he currently didn't want to spend anymore money until he received the salary from his programming/bug fixing endeavor. He did not want to have that feeling again but what surprise him was that he had gotten up only after a few hours the last time he was in a coma for 2 months. 'Seems like whatever is happening has something to do with my emotions, from my two big experiences and little ones where my body would just be hot and not pass out, what was the emotion; anger? Frustration? Sadness?' 'No it's not that simple there are times when I was feeling all those things but my body never ran hot, so is it fear? Fear…fear….fear.'
He continued muttering the word fear for sometime until it finally click in his head 'no it's not fear but what am I afraid of? Yeas in these instances… wait but the first time I wasn't afraid but I wanted to leave the place…leave….leave….suicide? Death? Yes yes that it.' The first time I would want to leave the orphanage by any means necessary I didn't want to continue living like that so I thought of dying as well and then today seeing the Deputy Mayor death, I believe my death was next because of what I know.' 'So is thinking about death and experiencing something like death would trigger that unknown energy reaction.'
Then a voice rang out in his head which made him jump off the bed like a scared kitten, [So you have figured it out huh, well I did expect this seeing that you are one of the smartest for a lowly 'Milkinite' that is] Confused Nan'Ke shout "what, who, where?" [when and why?] the voice replied leaving him speechless. Gathering his bearings once more and uttered a greeting shakily as his voice trembled afraid of the unknown entity "h-hh-hello" [Hi] the voice replied. Seeing an answer and no other suspicious activity he calm down but he still remained vigilant. "Who are you?" He asked. The voice said [I am Dawn, nice to finally meet you Nan'Ke] Seeing the voice know his name made him a little more scared "yo-y-you know me?" [Of course, we been together for the past three years]
[Before you go on with the questions let me explain]
[Five years ago, this planet time, an accident occurred in my place, origin, the beings that I work with wanted to experiment with a new found energy. They wanted to use that energy to upgrade me into a cosmic entity that would make our mutual cooperation seemingly better. Although that energy did help me upgrade due to its potency a spatial crack occurred and I was sucked into the void along with that energy. To survive I have to constantly absorb that energy even though it strain my cores and my equivalent to what you milkinites call DNA sequence/code.]
[After about two years in the void this planets time, another spatial crack appeared and I went through it then I appeared on this plane or planet, sigh you milkinites and your- never mind] [So after I got out the void I need a vessel or else the potent energy within me will burst out and destroy this piece of rock, and so I just attached myself to the closet being at the time which just happens to be you, oh and another thing since we are bounded you can just speak to me in your mind]

Mind_Medicine helloooo from the other side- chapter 4- So basically the system is here...but is it a system though? hmm, well that will be answered in the next chapter her name Dawn though *hint hint* Moving on so there will be a 3 year time skip in the near future as I don't think his school life would be all that interesting.
