Chapter 10: Your Lie in April
While lying on the bed Kaori who using Xin's arms like a pillow said." Can I go to the performance today?"
"The call back performance? Let me see if we still have time." Xin close his eyes and travel towards the place he remembered and see a dark empty hall.
It seems she did not made it.
Kaori feel sad, well actually she know she will never made it and left everyone in the end so she accepted the reality but she still hoping to perform infront of everyone showing her skills in music.
"Do you like performing in front of the audience?"
While considered a really sloppy violin player from a technical standpoint, such as not following music score sheets the way they are written, Kaori is an amazing violinist.
Noted by one of the judges at Towa Hall during the first competition of the series, her pure abilities far exceed the others in the competition.
She wields a free-spirited style of performance that emphasizes emotions and artistry over the pure mechanics of music, such playing to specific tempos and dynamics originally intended by the composer.
She is an extremely talented musician. However, unlike the majority of the musicians in the series, her style is different. She frequently changed the rhythm, tempo, and pitch of the song by free styling. As a result, the song itself becomes a different melody. Her free styling captivated the audience despite the disapproval of the judges.
"Not really, u just like to play and feel free on everything."
That's right, Kaori never said she like to perform in front of tha audience, but else she like to perform as she feel free to everything she have right now.
But the heavy burden on her shoulder finally lift up, she can finally perform as free as she can be, she want everyone heard her inner voice using her favorite violin and show to everyone her inner feeling.
"Why not? Let's go." Xin pull her up and with a snap of a finger they both come back on the rooftop of the hospital.
Xin walk and grab her favorite violin and pass it to her then summon a grand piano.
"You know how to play?"
Xin walk and sit infront of grand piano and said." No."
Kaori know he is not lying, just seeing how unskilled he is just sitting infront of the piano show her lack of skill.
He press a key and continue." But no one said I can't cheat using my power."
With one though, countless memory insert inside of his head, he don't need to be expert or anything but skill enough to play a simple music.
After pressing some keys, Xin's aura suddenly change, Kaori instantly feel it, she can't help but to attentively watch him.
A beautiful melody come after pressing couple of keys, the music is sad and gloomy, Kaori don't know why.
The intro end then Xin suddenly open his mouth and sing a particular song that he and everyone will never forget.
A rainbow after rain, and a flower that bloomed with the cold, are abundantly changing colors.
That day, I fell in love with you who looked up at the blazing red sky
That one instant in a scene of the dramatic film
Won't disappear, because it's etched into my heart
Xin's voice is beautiful, his voice can captivate anyone, even this voice is full of sadness and weak Kaori can hear the deep feelings coming from him.
And then the chorus finally come, a tears slide from his cheeks to his chin and drop in to his hand.
It's you, you who taught me.
If the darkness shines too, then it'll become a night of stars.
Don't hide your sadness behind a laughing face anymore
Because all the twinkling stars will shine on you
The song is not only for Kaori who expirence that sadness time of her life but also Xin who is the most hurt when he also expirence the same she felt.
But sadly he never fins his happy ending, he died full of anger and grief.
The music suddenly stop as Xin reminisce what happen to him when suddenly a soft and hot palm press on the top of his hand and continue to play.
It's you, you who taught me.
If the darkness shines too, then it'll become a night of stars.
Don't hide your sadness behind a laughing face anymore
Because all the twinkling stars will shine on you
Kaori's voice is full of love opposite to Xin, she tightly press her body as she help Xin press the key for him.
In the end, Xin can't finish the song, he can't continue but Kaori is here, she pull Xin from the darkness to brightness and start to show her free spirit play to lift his emotion up.
'Fool, you don't need to be sad, I'm here for you ..... My Mr. Angel.'
Xin laugh as Kaori play a cheerful music to lift his spirit, he knows that he don't need to dwell in the past but he knows that you can't scape it unless you face it.
But still he was happy in the end, a lose soul like him is save in the end, he don't know what the Goddess is planning but seeing the good result he thought that hel
ping that hopeless Goddess seems pretty good.
