Chapter 5: Chapter 5: Feast
I awake from the deep slumber that I succumbed myself to. rubbing my eyes groggily I looked up to see that the sun had now gone down and the moon was evident in the night sky.
"aghh~ my back is killing me. This floor is hard as a rock."
Gripping my sword with my hand I clutched it tight and hung it to the left side of my waist area.
'Status.'

'Bummer.'
I tense up my legs, my muscles contract and I dash at breakneck speeds. I look like a blur as I run past the trees that stand tall in the snowy forest.
"How long ago was my last meal? I'm hungry..."
My stomach growled and my mouth watered as I spoke about my next meal.
"The flesh and blood of a youth would be nice. There's taste the sweetest."
I laughed, I laughed long and hysterically, it was a very insane laugh.
"Whew~ why am I laughing so hard? I feel so full of energy."
My nose twitched as I bolted past the trees, "The smell of blood."
I quickly turn my head in the direction the smell is coming from, I grab a skinny tree, and my claw marks are left perceivable.
I swing my body around and quickly gain my footing on the icy ground. I regain my speed and maneuver through the tall trees.
"Blood. Blood. Blood."
'Why am I acting like this? have I become this accustomed to being a demon? I barely even recognize or feel that weird otaku side of me.'
'But even so....why can't I stop smiling?'
A huge grin was visible on my face.
Gusts of wind flow by me as I run, hitting my face it makes my eyes water. But I just keep running.
My hair follows the wind and flows rapidly.
'How long have I been running for? I'm still not tired! I can go faster!'
"This is the first time I've used my physical attributes like this, I didn't even know I could run this fast."
The smell of blood got heavier and heavier as I approached what seemed to be a cabin.
A small cabin of dingy wood that seemed to be rotting.
'I can smell the blood but I can't see it.'
WOOSH!
I dived away from where I stood, another demon crashed to the ground in an attempt to attack me.
The arm of a human was in its mouth and they seemed to be very rabid.
"They look to have no control of themselves. They must have just become a demon, but how?"
'Is Muzan nearby? did he do this? but why would he be here? that makes no sense.'
The demon foamed at the mouth and clenched its teeth as it chewed on the arm.
"What the hell are you looking at?"
It got angry and rushed at me, I moved out of the way and kicked the demon in the abdomen.
As if flying in the air by a couple of feet, I spun my body around and side-kicked in the ribs.
I walked over to the demon that was now on the ground holding its broken bones that poked through its skin I just looked down at it.
"I don't know who you are but I don't wanna kill you. So I suggest you get up and run away before I do."
The demon looked at me in fear before losing control again, "It seems you are trying to grasp onto that human side of you. Disgusting."
'What am I saying? When did I become like this?'
One kick, that's all it took to obliterate the demon into smithereens. It's blood and body parts were scattered in the steep snow.
"I warned you."
'The demon slayers may be here soon, I need to run.'
I leap in the air and grab onto a branch, climbing up onto it I rest on the tree.
'I see a clear view. I also see lights, I'll head there.'
From tree to tree, I jumped, making sure to keep my balance and not fall.
'This reminds me of something, what was it called again? Oh, Naruto! yeah, they used to do this in that show!'
'Now that I think about it, this all feels so unreal. Being a demon in another world? that's kind of cool yet disturbing.'
I was now just inches away from entering the small village of humans. People of different ages roamed the roads, and bright lights lit up the entire area.
'I look human enough, I should be fine.'
Stepping into the village nobody looked at me any kind of way. I sighed knowing I was in clear.
"I don't want to kill them all just yet. I need to let them marinate. So I can have a big feast all for myself."
I salivated at the mouth just thinking about it.
"I should find a place to rest a bet, I need to set the table for my feast."
Roaming the village I finally found was seemed to be a vacant home.
"Nobody said anything so I should be fine."
It was dark and dusty, perfect for a demon like me to live.
I looked around and saw two wooden tables that looked very old.
Grabbing them both, I put them together creating a long table.
"The arms go here, the legs go here, heads over there, and of course, eyeballs are the beverages."
I had everything ready and now all I had to do was wait for the right moment, when everybody was in their homes I would strike.
"I still have many hours left until the sun rises so I will be good. but what do I do in the meantime?"
..
I did pushups until I got bored, I then decided to do some situps after.
"I don't really get tired or feel anything when doing this. But it passes time so I don't mind."
Rising from the ground I darted outside and jumped onto the roof, everybody was now sound asleep and in their homes.
A huge grin was on my face, so huge it stretched from ear to ear.
"Finally...~"
