Chapter 27: Absolute Domination.
"CLAAAAAAAAAAAAANG". Lucian found himself taking continuous steps backwards as his legs dug into the ground tearing through it. His hand bones quivered repeatedly but he immediately burst up from the ground in the next second meeting the claw slashing towards him head on.
A sinister smile lined the lips of the Werewolf as it slashed with speed satisfied with the feeling of being able to knock it's prey back with every collision.
"Bang, Bang, Bang," The sound of a claw clashing with a blade continuously echoed within the forest as Lucian slashed as fast as he could while closing his eyes.
His senses were tuned to the highest level making him barely able to sense the waves of the claws enabling him to counterattack at the last second but they did nothing in stopping him from feeling pain every time he clashed with claw.
The power behind was just too great, greater than what his Infernal Apprentice physique could handle.
The claw slashed forward with speed once again ripping the air in two as Lucian immediately placed his katana horizontally before him in the last second but it was futile as his katana was broken in two while he himself was sent flying and crashed into a tree.
"GRHHHHHHHHHH"
Lucian clenched his teeth tightly from the pain as blood poured out from his mouth but he ignored all that as he quickly tried to stand up when he suddenly felt a claw wrap around his neck as he was lifted off the ground.
Directly staring into his ocean blue eyes were a pair of crimson red eyes radiating with a sinister intent as a mocking smile appeared on the Night werewolf's face which seemed to tell him:
"You'll be in a world of pain real soon..."
The Night werewolf grabbed the neck of it's prey as it was about to show it what true dominance was. Shifting it's right leg to the back while bending it's waist a little, it flung it's prey forward with speed as it watched it disappear into the distance, crashing through the trees.
It immediately disappeared from where it was standing as it caught up with it before slashing towards it's chest with speed.
Lucian felt himself thrown violently backwards as his body repeatedly smashed into the trees uprooting them but even they couldn't stop his backwards momentum.
While a cultivator at the Middle Star rank stage would have been reduced to a bloody pulp already, Lucian physique was stronger. An advantage but now it seems so disadvantaged as it means he could also take a good amount of beating.
His eyes opened wide as he watched a claw moved towards his chest but he was only able to cross his hands together when it slammed into him ripping away the flesh in his hands as he was sent flying backwards with even more speed.
The werewolf flashed a sinister smile as it looked at the bloody flesh on its hand before flinging it away as it quickly catch up to its prey, it's smile widening as it felt itself enjoying the hunt.
Lucian slammed his back on a huge tree, which stopped his momentum as he felt all his bones screaming out to him in pain, he wasn't even given time to scream when he suddenly felt a hand slammed into his head as his entire body was lodged into the tree, breaking it to two.
The hand clamped on its neck as it slammed him with full force on the ground causing him to cough out blood as the ground cracked from the power, blood quickly feeling up the plot hole.
Lucian gaze already went cloudy as he felt himself carried and slammed into the ground repeatedly but he eventually forgot the feeling as his ability to feel pain was robed off him.
Slowly, he gave up the will to keep struggling.
Sometimes when the problem seems so monumental, even if one know to never give up, one wouldn't be able to help it.
This was what Lucian felt at this moment. But strangely everything was good now, now that he chose to give up, the pain receded a lot to eventually not even feeling it anymore at all.
But his peace only lasted a short while before the memories of his goals afflicted his eyes.
He could almost see Mia playing the flute as she called out to him

"Luc, Luc, how was my flute play. Godly right."
"Yes it really was good." Lucian said with a nod.
"Hmph, it was only good it's not godly" Mia's said pouting lightly as she hmph continuously causing Lucian to let out a laugh. Even when angry, she only end up making him smile.

A smile appeared on Lucian's face as he stared at the deep blue cloudless sky with a smile on his face.
"I'm sorry Mia, it's just that...right now...life feels so good and I'm no longer afraid of anything..." Lucian said as his eyes slowly closed slowly sinking into the darkness. His body slowly embraced the darkness as he if he was a part of it and belonged to it in the first place.
It was peaceful, as peaceful as a child returning to his mother embrace. But unfortunately or fortunately, it didn't last for long.
"ABOVE AND BELOW, ONLY WE HEGEMONIC ASURAS WILL DOMINATE..."
A voice echoed out to him in the darkness shattering the peacefulness away as a malevolent aura as if it came from the darkest of hell flooded into the space causing his eyes to immediately snap open.
Lucian looked above him as a devilish figure appeared in front of him making his knees quiver as he felt every inch of his cells screaming out to him.
'Run, run..."
It was as if his body finally met it's natural prey as he stood there paralyzed under the pressure, this was the most malevolent devilish being Lucian has ever seen.
This was the first time he will be meeting with what he was supposed to become, his first meeting to his second race. His meeting with an Hegemonic Asura.
