Chapter 32: The Trial
The mountains almost all greater than hundreds of metres tall stood standing, proudly in the place as different valleys extended into the distance.
Small rivers split among these mountain which could be seen drifting off the land below, some settling down in low land areas.
At the middle of the place was a gigantic mountain which was almost twice the height of others, as it easily dwarfing them. It was shaped like that of a sword pointing against the sky due to its extended and pointy tip which was hidden by sight due to the fog covering the area.
Occasional roars of wildlife echoed out beneath showing powerful beasts thrive in this land.
On one of the mountains, a young man sat as he looked at the land below. A serene aura covered him as his raven dark hair gently blew to the gentle wind while a deep look of being in thought could be seen in his blue eyes, lining his handsome face with a bit of wisdom and maturity.
Lucian stared below him as he saw some of the participants immediately going into hiding, trying to keep their badge from being stolen while some others immediately started hunting for others.
He discovered all the people were teleported to different places in this valley, and couldn't find Kenji after he was teleported Into this place. But he wasn't worried, Kenji staying with him will only limit his own strength as he would be relying too heavily on him. He was better off without him so he could also grow stronger.
While a good brother is a great asset, a powerful one is ten times better.
The trials last for a week so there was still six days left. It was relatively huge time, where everyone would try to increase their strength as fast as possible. Only to the last days will things get tougher.
Lucian slowly stood up as he took a deep breath from the air and headed down the land below. Although he was at the Early Star rank stage, and could easily defeat one at the middle star rank stage or late Star rank with a bit of struggle.

He immediately jump down from the mountain. His face inched closer to the land when he abruptly turned, slamming his legs on it sides to slow down his ascent before landing on the ground with a thud and quickly fading away among the trees.

A fat boy could be seen on one of the mountains as he stared at the ground below him. He already called out to Lucian repeatedly but he didn't get a single reply so he knew everyone was separated from each other.
His eyes flashed with a glint as he struggled to come to terms within him. Off course he knew he was being a bother to Lucian, he Kenji, never relied on anyone or anything in his life, not even his powerful clan, but now he found himself always needing Lucian all the time. Now that he was gone from him, he could still feel the beating of his heart spiking a little in fear.
"I have said I will never accept you, Zenin. But for my brother and my new life that's starting to make sense to me. Then I'll accept it and better you all in it." He muttered as his gaze became resolute when he suddenly sat crosslegged, his eyes closed.
A gigantic phantom suddenly appeared behind Kenji in the next second, as powerful waves continuously undulated behind it.
It was the image of a gigantic hammer which radiate a powerful pressure. It's wooden part seemed to have been carved from gold itself while it's hammerhead was an obsidian dark colour littered in different runes.
Around the hammer, six circles revolved revealing it to be a Sixth grade martial spirit. If Lucian has seen this, he would have fainted in shock. All the clans possessed a single 6th grade martial spirit genius.
That means Kenji was the 6th grade genius of the Zenin clan.
Spiritual energy from the world rushed to the top of the mountain like a bee attracted to a beautiful flower, as they entered into Kenji residing in his dantians. His eyes closed in deep meditation as he began taking his cultivation seriously.
The fog covered the mountains which were actually spiritual energy which had coalesced together. Not only would they increase his cultivation, it will also block prying eyes away from him.

The other participants also look for their places as they all retreated in cultivation to increase their stages.
Each waiting for the last days of the trial to compete for the badges. They were all at the Early Star rank stage now, it would be a hard fight seizing badge from others with the same cultivation base as them. But that might not be the case In the next days.
But while everyone sat down comfortably in the cave, only needing to release their martial spirit to cultivate. The same couldn't be said for Lucian as he walked in the forest, blood staining his hands while the corpses of beasts who already had their blood essence devoured lined his feet.
