Chapter 33: Chaos in the Forest
The body of hundreds of beasts plied up on top of each other forming a small mountain of beast in the forest. Blood flowed freely in the lands like a small river painting the green flowers in red as they extended into the distance.
A gloomy aura of death hung in the air, making one feel their spine tingling from the sights. The beasts which were made to form a small mountain were all at the Early Star rank stage.
On top of the almost ten metres tall pile was a young man in red robes. Lucian stared at his robes as he saw it has been painted red due to the blood of the beast. His hands were also covered in blood, due to the killing as he already broke the Katana Kenji gave to him. He had no choice but to use his hands.
He removed his gaze from his body as he stared at the pile of beasts he was sitting on with a blank look before muttering.
"I only managed to fill up a single more star and another quarter."
It seems using the blood of Early Star rank stage beasts was no longer as effective as it was before. He had killed almost more than 70 Early Star rank beast but he only managed to fill up a single bloody star.
He didn't need to go around chasing the beast, he just needs to kill one and leave it there, another one would be attracted by the bloody scent. It already went on for five days with the beasts showing and he killing them and devouring their blood essence but now not a single beast showed up maybe because he already killed them all or the smell was too strong they decided to immediately run from it.
His gaze narrowed as he felt a slight shaking of the ground towards him.
"Oh another one?"
Appearing before Lucian's eyes was a gigantic bull with large sharp pointed horns.
It's eyes were a colour of red as it stared at the piles of beasts, a little paralyzed from the sight before staring at Lucian who was sitting on it.
It immediately huffed from its mouth as it gave aloud 'Moarrr" sound before heading towards Lucian.
It's huge horns slammed on the small mountain of beasts immediately blowing them away into the distance.
"HUFFFFF, HUFFFFF"
It's red eyes flashed red as it stared behind it looking at the young man.
It immediately swiped it's hoof on the ground before moving towards him with full speed.
Lucian looked at the huge bull moving towards him without moving a single step back, as he stretched his twin hands forward clamping the bull's horn.
His legs tore through the ground backwards from taking the momentum head-on but he soon stopped himself as he held on tightly to the horns.
The bull was shocked speechless when it thought it had already nailed it's prey to death untill it suddenly felt a hand clamp on its head and forcefully stopped it's momentum. Something it had never witnessed before.
It immediately gave an angry 'moar' as it tried to compete with it's prey in a battle of strength when it's eyes widened in the next second as it was lifted up into the sky by its horn. Before it could even understand what was going next, a loud bang sound echoed in it's ears reverberating in it's entire body as it's eyes went cloudy.
"BAANG, BANG, BANG..."
Lucian slammed the beast on the ground repeatedly as even though it was bigger than him, he was able to easily lift it up like it was nothing.
The Hegemonic Asura Physique was starting to show it's positive points.
The bull quickly dispelled it's shock as it immediately swiped it's second horn at its prey's face making it let go as it crashed into the ground but stood up in the next second.
It finally felt the world stopped spinning as it slammed it's hoof on the ground, it's eyes flaring with a crimson light before speeding towards Lucian, this time tem times angrier.
"It strangely is very resilient and pretty strong." Lucian said muttering to himself as he stared at the bull running towards him with horrifying speed but a bloodlust smile appeared on Lucian's face as a crimson red dot appeared in his eyes.
"You'll still be losing this battle..."
"MOOOOOOOOOOOOAR"
"GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRH"
Two loud sounds boomed through the forest as Lucian's body suddenly stopped a metre before colliding with the bull as he slapped his right hands toward it's head with all his strength.
The air was violently blown away as the hand passed through it before slamming on the bull's head as it was thrown Into the distance for hundreds of miles carving a singular line of destruction through the forest before disappearing from sight.
Lucian slowly stood up from his slapping position as the ref dot in his eyes slowly faded away before directing his gaze to his hands which were flaming hot and steaming with gas.
He swiped it extinguishing the steam as he checked his bloody star which filled up more a little finally settling to half.
"At least it filled it up to half" he muttered as while he slapped the bull's head, it was already dead from the slightest contact as he absorbed the blood essence before it was blown away.
"It seems I'll have to do with middle and late Star rank beast since Early are no longer useful." He muttered as he slowly head out of the forest.
There was only two days more before the trial comes to an end. It was time to fight for badges.
"I wonder how that fatty is doing though." Lucian muttered as a smile appeared on his face, his figure slowly disappearing among the trees.
