Chapter 5: Shopping Date.

Izumi closed his eyes and temporarily took a seat in that position while looking down at the floor because there were way too many notifications that filled the entire screen before he realized what was happening.
"You alright." Izumi turned to look at the red-haired girl who was closely examining his face when Kiriya's voice resounded close to her ear.
"Yeah, I am feeling alright, but it has been a long time since I got to eat with so many people around me; usually, it is just me and my father, and in school, most people tend to avoid me for their sake."
He grinned and came up with a fresh justification to conceal the notification, but everyone's attention was drawn to him more as a result of his response.
"You don't seem like a bad guy to me... So, normally, I think you would have been surrounded by friends given your nature."
Although Izumi's only shortcoming was his misfortune and their propensity to become entangled in his misery as well, Mineru's other thoughts and idea's were right on the money.
Izumi was slightly taken aback as he nodded in agreement with Mineru's observations and informed them of his good luck trick; after all, he would be residing here and would appreciate their assistance from time to time.
"Haha! Who would believe that?" When a ball came crashing through the window and was headed directly toward Izumi's face, he turned his neck and avoided it, which caused the others to stop talking as they laughed while Mineru and the others continued to look at Izumi's excuse.
However, this misfortune was not straightforward; the ball hit the wall and came back at him like a boomerang, smashing into the back of his head.
"Misfortune!" Mineru asked.
"Yeah! Something like that." Izumi smiled and nodded. He rubbed his head and sighed as he pondered whether a major event was about to occur or not because he had experienced too many unfortunate events today.
"Are you alright? It just smacked your head with that kind of speed. Let me see it for you."
Izumi caught Mineru's worried gaze as she considered how much the person in front of her had been through in a single day. She also began to worry a little about his mental health.
"No, it is alright; I am feeling fine; this is something I have already built my immunity against. Plus, I have also trained my body well for everything." Izumi casually spoke.
Although they were unsure of how this youngster was still able to smile like this, Mineru and the other girls could sense the gravity behind Izumi's actions and felt a little bad for him.
"Hmm! You are very strong, Izumi-kun; I am very proud of that characteristic of yours." Seemingly praised for nothing, Izumi felt dry and could only laugh wryly about it.
Atena also felt the same. She thought the young person in front of her was a really good example that she should take after because he could deal with his problem head-on without even hinting at trying to avoid it, as she was doing.
Looking at Izumi, who seemed to have already blending with other like Mineru and Kiriya, who were actively talking with him. Atena felt a little embarrassed, as she herself took a lot of time before she was able to bring herself to talk with others in this dormitory.
Izumi returned to the living room after completely tidying up his room. With the exception of Mineru, Kiriya, and Megumi, everyone else had returned to their rooms and was working on their own projects or studying at that precise moment.
Three of them continued to watch a movie on the television, returning the room to silence. It appears that Kiriya had suggested this action film, as she had previously done so.
"Oh! Izumi, come and take the seat!"
After walking and sitting next to them for a while to watch the movie with them, Mineru called him because he was beginning to get a little peckish and wanted to go out to buy something.
"Get something for me too." Kiriya and Mineru joined in at the same time. Izumi nodded as Mineru handed him some cash.
Mineru then grinned and called Megumi to accompany him on a shopping trip to purchase some supplies they needed.
"Alright! Let's go then, Izumi-san." It seemed like the perfect opportunity for her to join Izumi for the shopping since she too wanted to escape the dull movie.
Mineru winked at Izumi as she whispered this, and the two of them left the store together.
'Even though it seems like this, Megumi has a boyfriend, so be careful and good luck.' 'I really do not like that boy, so I hope that you can make her see his true color someday, and I will support you for it, alright?'
Izumi had no idea why Mineru had the impression that he had a crush on Megumi, but then he remembered the system and knew what it was asking him to do, even though he truly did not want to steal other people's girlfriends for his selfish desire.
But if the guy would be harming the person herself, he did not think it would be polite to drop the idea of having her as a girlfriend even in this life.
'Eh, isn't this the perfect chance to have some good impressions of her.' Shopping date! One of the unusual occurrences in many dating sims was the protagonist getting the chance to learn more about the partner and using that information to his advantage to entice her toward him.
However, creating such a perfect scenario in real life would be challenging.

'Wow!' Izumi was surprised. "Izumi-san, let's go." Izumi turned to look at Megumi, who was outside of her room and wearing new clothes that made her look incredibly beautiful, shaking off the strange feeling he was experiencing.
"Sure!" Izumi nodded and left after waiting for her to leave first. He then checked to make sure the system's yes option had been chosen, which had begun the stimulation and completed a script for him.

[Since the area of the shopping is much crowded, take this time to take Megumi to a nearby shop for an order; it is the place where Megumi works and her boyfriend is.]

Izumi felt a little uneasy as he studied the plan. 'Is he cheating on her or something? but I don't think it will be this simple.' Not knowing what to say, Izumi only followed the map and reached a shopping mall as they looked at the huge line of people.
"Oh! That's really a big line here, Huh!" Megumi murmurs as he does so. Izumi nods at Megumi as he observes a person he was aware of but did not call because he appeared to be rather preoccupied with his work and it would be rude to go and disturb him while he was working.
"It is for the egg sale, though; we don't need eggs. How about going and having something at a good place for the time being? It will be on me." Izumi questioned and turned to face Megumi, who had turned to look at a specific pastry shop and was having a similar thought.
"Yep! But it will be on me. This is the shop that I work in, and I can definitely get a surprise discount for it." Megumi told Izumi there was no chance for him to back out of it.
"Okay! But I will get you a treat soon, and you will have no right to say no to me for it." Turning to look at Megumi with a serious look, Izumi spoke in a forced tone, under which influence Megumi decided to agree to it.
