Chapter 21: ...

He woke up after a few minutes as his body wasn't able to fall in a deeper sleep. The single touch from a gentle wave was enough to wake him up. Energetically he jumped from where he was laying and looked around without much of an idea of what to do. Perhaps go to ground 48.1, but because the Wiki page of level 48 didn't give him the way to enter level 48.1. He might have to ask the natives.

He rubbed the side of his head. "Damn who connected the dots on this..." He asked himself, before he lifted his shoulders and began walking deeper into the forest. Perhaps he will find something. He has seen all the exits even if unaware of where they lead, he might take his chances with one of them.

After a few hours of walking through the wilderness, encountering beautiful wild life, the sun set down and was replaced by another beautiful sky. He found himself in the Noctilucent grounds.

He looked above into what he could only describe as heavenly... As many other things.

It was truly a sight to witness. But it didn't provoke the same emotional reaction as the sunset. He really didn't know what was this reaction. Just existing... A cold peaceful filling... His expression relaxed and he just stared of as his legs moved on their own, because if he was in charge of them now, he would have probably stopped. Peace was pending...

He walked around witnessing more and more of the forest, in between the leafs beautiful clouds that stared back into the ground. He could say exactly, what was this cold provoked feeling within his chest. Was he slowing down? Was he ready to just sit down, instead of finding answers, just to rest for eternity?

"No..." He continued walking which slowly grew into running, whilst tears were slowly streaming down his face without his control.

Which slowly dried out and he felt in peace as he stopped to take a breath. He smiled as now he felt better.

"Heh... Maybe i needed this..." He said to himself as he slowed down his breathing to longer breaths. As he felt ready to continue, he looked up, now the sky filled him with motivation to keep going as if the whole level was cheering him on. He felt well, he smiled calmly as he continued walking on, occasionally stopping around to take in his surroundings, occasionally seeing another perfect view.

"Such perfection..." He said to the view as we walked along the waters looking across the entire sub-layer.

He could see a small town in the distance with lights and everything. He walked over to it, as he was filled with anticipation to see how much more beauty lies in this place.

He took a walk, around taking his time to explore everything, all of it was beautiful the water, the sky, the architecture. All of it mixed into yet another heavenly view.

He grinded his teeth as he felt sharp pain in his spine. He looked back as he saw the shadow of a tall creature above him. It looked down on him and stayed silent as it pulled out the spear that was used to pierce the child, whose heart was racing the fastest it can to create more blood and compensate for the huge loss of blood. "Oh... Go screw yourself." The child said with his last breath as he fell forward with his blood spilling down on the concrete street.
