Chapter 34: Losing touch with reality

The second everything went black, out of nowhere he was in some random city, some bizarre architecture here and there, streets floating and the space around him revealing a colorful void of vibrant colors. He didn't understand how to take the information his brain was receiving from the beyond. But it didn't truly matter as a random zip line came from behind and launched onto his back, beginning to drag him around, he felt light, as if gravity was half way through stopping. He was swung around as the zip line turned corners, he looked around in the meantime spinning around.

He didn't think, he simply existed in this plane of existence, one that he doesn't understand, but since he was lacking control, he had no problem with it. The zip line slowly came to a stop as the momentum began to lower in quantity, he was in a street which looked backwards into a straight forward street, one that somehow lacked the glitching factors from before and a street that descended down to a lower part of this dreamscape.

His character began running down the street, jumping from time to time on the roofs of the smaller buildings, even climbing onto a bigger one, looking inside the empty apartment buildings.

This city was lively, lovely, he enjoyed every second of it, even if he wasn't in control or with the mind to reflect on the situation. But was this joy his? Or someone else's?

He jumped from the building down to the ground slowly falling so nothing happens to him, and with a roll, all the possible pain was dispatched.

He continued his run with no sign of getting tired, the sublime feeling of non stop motion was such a thing to enjoy.

After a while of of running he came to a stop as the sun began to set, he stood before a big box building with white walls and a glass door, through which he entered taking a peek. He saw a award giving, of some random people he didn't recognize, he looked down bored from this and saw his hand which was at first with five fingers, then slowly grew another one. In that moment his brain finally turned on.

"That's just a dream." He said, unable to think with words. He looked around seeing the ceremony end, as children began going towards the door with their parents.

He quickly left and jumped up as he felt his consciousness float with him as he grabbed onto the edge of the building, he climbed without much of an issue, he looked over to the sunset which was welcoming the arrival of the moon. But then when he turned towards the forest behind the building, he felt an eerie feeling. He felt at discomfort as if there was something watching him. The feeling made his feel somewhat scared, so he quickly flee from the scene in hopes that the thing couldn't touch him while he is in the city.

He began running from rooftop to rooftop, until he felt somewhat safe, but this feeling continued lingering around him, it followed him here and now. It wants to share a little bit of emotion. The child sat down and began breathing deeply so he can calm down and push his own fears away, but it didn't work.

He heard footsteps behind him, but before he could react something was breathing down his neck, it was mocking him. He quickly tried to make a portal, but it didn't work, his fear has deafened his powers. He quickly stood up as he heard a count start from 10. The thing was giving him time to run, just so it can catch him later, and thrive over his emotions.

He quickly jump from building to building, but then as the count got to zero, his run began to slow down, until he almost didn't move. He cried slightly as he heard a loud fall behind him, which lowered down to a few quick steps, until he felt a sharp pain in his neck, he closed his eyes in pain. And after opening them, he saw the perfect void, and his arm trying to remove the dream entity from him. He felt the pain as his nerves were affected by this encounter and he wished that this was the last time he met it. The pain slowly dispersed, before he finally calmed down. The pain was exchanged for anger which only grew as the child spew his hatred toward the creature. 'I will fucking kill you if I see you again...'
