"Sorry,” the young boy said.
A woman joined the child. As she helped Hadleigh up, she made her son, who was named Noah, apologize. She could see that they both had the same caramel-colored eyes.
“I guess I’ve just met a young wizard, huh?” Hadleigh said to Noah, holding her head to stop the vertigo. He smiled and nodded.
"What kind of haunted house was that?"
"From my brain! Happy Halloween!" the kid said, smiling from ear to ear.
Hadleigh walked on wobbly legs behind the group of pups, who seemingly were not fazed at all by the bouncing optical illusion.
When she made it to Keiron, he saw her and he came to her speedily. She was laughing at how off-balance she was.
"What is it, patient Hadleigh? Tell me your symptoms."
"Dr. Ramsey, I'm very dizzy. A little wizard is nearby." Keiron chuckled a bit but then cleared his throat and put his doctor's act back on.
