Chapter 85: ' Troublesome '
The elderly man was sent slithering along the ground for quite a distance before he managed to regain control of his momentum and stop himself.
Shifting his gaze upwards, shivers ran along the elderly man's spine as he spotted Nero, now in his demon trigger state, with his demon wings unfolded and partial demonic features appearing all over his body, the most prominent being the glowing blue demonic eyes.( Picture on comments).
Perhaps out of subconscious instinct, the elderly man instantly gathered a blood-colored spear in his hand and hurled it towards Nero, only for it to be divided in half by a flash just before touching Nero.
Not stopping, a black-colored soul ring appeared beneath the elderly man, and as it lit up, hundreds of blood-colored spears were instantly conjured, all targeting Nero.
But just like before, all of them were annihilated before they could touch Nero. In fact, this time, all the elderly man could see was a split-second flash before nothing remained of his spears.
"What...the hell are you?" the elderly man queried, his voice filled with visible shock as never before had his abilities been this ineffective in front of anyone, let alone a teenager.
Nero sighed and replied, "Can you just stop pretending? There's no way someone who's been conducting soul experiments under the nose of the entire royal family would be scared or shocked just by this. Obviously, you're just preparing for your trump card."
Pointing Yamato at the elderly man, Nero continued, "So, unleash this trump card of yours."
"Hahahaha," the elderly man instantly changed his demeanor, starting to laugh maniacally. "And here I thought you would become overconfident by my act, but it seems like you're not an amateur kid."
Metallic irregular scales started to emerge from under the skin of the elderly man as his body morphed into that of a bipedal hybrid of a wolf and giant, with bloody flames flowing in the crevices of his body.{Picture in comments)
"I saved this as the last resort, in case the royal family found out about my true purpose, and I was hoping to solve Liu Khuen's situation somehow," the elderly man met Nero's sharp gaze and continued, "but the moment the royal family finds your dead body, plus the fact that I won't be able to return to normal in time to get back, my cover would be blown anyway. So, kid, it's your mistake for butting your head where you shouldn't have."
Nero tilted his head and replied with a smirk, "Looks like this husky form gave you one hell of a confidence, old geezer. Well, let's see if it is even capable of ripping my life out or is it just an amplifier to your barking ability."
The elderly man just showed a beastly grin in response to Nero's mocking. Instantly, Nero and the elderly man both disappeared from their place, leaving behind blue phantoms and blood-gassy shadows respectively.
"CLANG!" A heavy clang reverberated in the surroundings, followed by a dense air wave as Nero collided with the elderly man in the middle. The elderly man instantly thrust his sharp-edged tail at Nero, which was immediately blocked by the two spectral energy demonic claws conjured by Nero in a flash.
Several spectral energy chains lunged from the ground, restricting the elderly man's beastly limbs. Taking advantage of the deadlock, Nero swiftly swapped Yamato with Beowulf and directed an energy-condensed tornado kick at the elderly man's chest.
The combined impact of Nero's kicking force and the explosion of the condensed energy sent the elderly man flying backwards with extreme speed. In a split second, using his demonic eyes to predict the trajectory in advance, Nero pinpointed a position to execute his second rune ability, Demon Prowler.
Immediately, the elderly man was engulfed by the shadow entity, inducing a time and sense dilation effect on him. Teleporting right above the elderly man, Nero unsheathed Yamato and slashed at him with the Law of Separation coating the blade.
"Thud," the elderly man's precisely-cut hand dropped to the ground as he himself appeared in a different position, his hand already in the process of regeneration.
"Well, looks like those husky instincts of yours are at least of some use," Nero mocked, directing his gaze towards the elderly man as he swung Yamato to remove the blood from its blade.
"DON'T GET COCKY, KID!" the elderly man shouted as he summoned a bloody spear and advanced towards Nero. Arriving in front of Nero in less than a split-second, the elderly man thrust the tip of the spear at Nero's chest, which Nero immediately blocked using Yamato's sheath.
Not stopping, the elderly man summoned another spear in his now fully regenerated hand and swiped it towards Nero's neck. While using the sheath to keep the former spear at bay, Nero unsheathed Yamato to intercept the elderly man's attack.
Suddenly, a ring of mirage edges appeared around Nero all instantly stabbing at the elderly man and to avoid that the elderly man instantly slammed his tail on the ground. Using the counter shockwave the elderly man jumped up avoiding the mirage edges.
Not giving him a chance to breath, numerous phantoms flashed before Nero as the elderly man was instantly surrounded in a whirlwind of slashes, all imbued with sword intent and Law if separation to which the elderly man responded by surrounding himself by layers of bloody inferno liquid.
The elderly man was immediately covered in explosion of spectral energy and infernal blood as Nero's attack collided with the layers of barrier. (spectral energy and demonic energy same thing)
A second later the aftermath was dispersed revealing the elderly man now in numerous minuscule scars flowing with Nero's demonic power prohibiting the elderly man's regeneration ability.
' Troublesome, ' Nero instantly thought as normally judgement cut would bypass his enemies defense and the accompanying energy would damage his enemies from inside but the elderly man was clearly able to stop that.
With no words being spoken, Nero teleported behind the elderly man in a flash and slashed at his back with inhuman speed. At the last moment of contact the elderly man was replaced with a large sharp edged spear with its tip pointing facing at Nero's chest.
Knowing that the elderly man would instantly surround him with numerous spears if he were to teleport, Nero was forced to activate his third rune ability Shadow void, transferring himself to another layer of space thus avoiding the spear.
Now clearly invincible of any melee attacks, Nero with still the momentum of his slash teleported in front of the elderly man and executed an upward strike. The elderly man tried to stab Nero with his spear to interrupt him but it just simply phased through Nero with him being in shadow void.
The elderly man was launched upwards and before he could do anything else, Nero backlashed the area around him cleaving the air itself thus drawing the elderly man back towards the ground.
Nero instantly disappeared from his position as the elderly man was surrounded from head to toe in ring of exploding mirage blades.
" Schwing...BOOM!, " with the sound of Yamato sheathing the elderly man was covered in a massive explosion.

Thanks for 1M guys truly appreciate that even though i was not constant due to college work.
But thanks anyway, Last week i didn't upload since i needed time to get all the previous information again in my mind to continue on.
