Chapter 77: THE TRAINING

The next thing Felicia knew was that it was already another day. She found herself lying in her bed, her clothes had changed and the sun still hadn't shown itself. She woke up early, did she eat yesterday? She couldn't remember.

The last thing she knew was that she was being carried by Alexander back to her room. She must've fallen asleep in his arms, the reason why she woke up inside her room, completely in another outfit.

Olivia must have changed her dress into a sleeping one. But that doesn't matter, she needs to train herself especially since today is her first meeting with her teacher in swordsmanship.

She couldn't help but feel the excitement rushing in her bed as she got up and immediately went to the bathroom to cleanse herself. After minutes had passed, she came out completely drenched went to her closet, and didn't bother to call Olivia.

This time, with the trousers that she got from now Viscountess Yulie, she wore a stirrup type of trouser, fit yet stretchable. She could actually run and do some stretches. She partnered it up with a loose long sleeve with its sleeves being flared and her chest tied with loose lace. The frails were around her wrist and just around the laces.

She also customized a pair of boots, considering that people here don't know shoes that are comfortable to run. It would be so weird seeing one here though.

The sun was still not up when she tied her hair into a ponytail. Some of her hair locks fell, yet it didn't look messy at all. She was looking regal and clean. Despite the simplicity of her outfit, upon checking herself, Rachelle smirked as what she saw in the mirror was more grandiose than Helena's.

That's right, she's so beautiful the Goddess must've done her wrong.

"Alright. I'm ready." She whispered to herself as she looked at herself in the mirror then went out of her room. She doesn't know what time it is today therefore she doesn't know if there would be some knights training there.

But whatever it is, she's determined to learn the arts of swordsmanship, especially since Helena has been gaining a lot of power. It would be troubling if she continues to act laid back knowing how it will end her position soon.

She walked through the halls, dark and empty. If not for the candlelight shining in every station then it would be so hard for her to see everything and she might find herself falling down the stairs.

The atmosphere of the room was cold, desolate, and dark. She could only rely on the burning candles as there were no servants running or walking around. Seems Like it was really too early for her to wake up.

She wasn't bothered with the things that just made this manor other than the coldness seeping through her decent outfit. Yet she still chose to walk her way towards the training ground.

After a seemingly long walk, she finally reached the training ground, panting quite heavily as it was a long walk, befitting for a good exercise early in the morning. She just stood there, watched the whole training ground empty and all for herself.

"This is even more creeper." She mentioned to herself as she looked above the sky, looking at the moon at its brightest, slowly fading into the night sky. This indicates that the morning will eventually arrive and she has to prepare her body.

She breathed in, calmed herself first and exhaled. "Alright, I can do this." She mentioned as she started to go first around the entire training ground. It was so big that even a lap was already a bit heavy for her who was so weak she was starting to feel her legs trembling.

But it won't stop her from learning things.

With determination overflowing inside her, she started to run around, her phase became even faster as sweat occupied her body, slowly warming herself with the heat emitting out of her as she continued to run around.

Her body wanted to give up already, she wanted to just lay down and just hug her body but she kept on motivating herself that if she didn't do this, she would end up dying in the hands of that woman.

That made her even more furious.

After laps of running, jogging, and walking, she finally stopped running, breathing heavily and chasing the air that escaped from her grasp. She could feel her lungs tightening as it was lacking its vital mineral which is oxygen. She was on her knees, kneeling on the ground while her hands sprawled on the ground, supporting herself.

She couldn't even talk because of how tired she was just because of all that running. She didn't even reach at least 10 laps because of this darn weak body that can't even deal with basic training.

Shit, this is why she's getting overthrown easily. This weak mental and physical health is the reason why it's easy to trample her life.

"I... Hate this... Already..." She muttered to herself, staring at the ground as her sweat dropped like small tiny droplets of water from the sink. She was still panting, yet unlike what she did earlier when she was chasing her air.

She gave herself some time to cope, some time to finally let her body adjust to the sudden change of her control. Her heart was racing hard, her lungs still lacked the air that she breathed and her legs down to her heels were trembling unconsciously.

She stayed in that position for minutes before she decided to stand up and look for something to swing at least a hundred swings. She heard that to hold the sword, you need to undergo swinging first to start.

She stared at the night sky and the sky had changed the color of the night. The darkness almost crawled back while the light coming from the sun contrasted with the light. The morning dew has come and dawn has ended.

She went towards the barracks just across the training room where knights stored their equipment. She's sure that she has seen them maybe. She entered the barracks and it wasn't locked, probably because no one was going to steal some anyway.

She saw one of the training swords, a wooden sword to practice the grip and she pulled it, only to find it so heavy that she almost dropped the end of it into her foot. She cussed loudly and sorted out her strength, focusing on her arm to carry it.

"My sword wasn't heavy at all... Why the hell is this heavy?" She asked herself as she walked back towards the centre of the training ground. She was complaining that this wasn't what she expected.

Maybe because the sword adjusted to her strength reason why she was able to carry it at a lightweight. It's not even a rapier but a double-edged sword. It's a magical sword, after all, so its strength compared to the real sword is much lighter as it adjusted.

That's the only conclusion that she could think of.

As she reached the centre, she gripped the sword's handle and swung it from left to right until her arms had grown weak and shaky. Yet just like earlier, she didn't stop training, swinging the sword and couldn't even count how many times she was swinging the wooden sword.

Suddenly, she heard noises coming from afar, as she looked behind only to find out the knights were coming into the training ground to train. They were very loud, having fun and completely oblivious to the fact that someone had already occupied the space.

But she just turned around, minding her own business. What comes first is her skill to be fixed and not some knights to oogle with.

"Who's that?" Someone from the knights' division asked as he saw someone training alone. The figure was skinny and had the shape of a woman which made them fall into disbelief. Who the hell is that?

"I don't know..." Even the knights had similar questions and answers as they started at the feminine figure, all alone in the state while swinging a damn wooden sword that is built for them. Gosh, in their eyes she swings it effortlessly.

"Let me approach." One of the knights, Owen grinned as he ran towards the woman while there were knights who followed them and those who told Owen and the rest to quit bothering the woman. After all, who would be in their right mind to disturb the woman?

But also, is she on the right mind to come here so early despite the night's darkness and the creatures' cries? Is she not afraid of it?

"Excuse me, Miss, but what are you doing here—" before Owen could even finish his words and approach the woman by touching her by her shoulder, the woman turned at a fast pace, the sword in her hand struck Owen, the edge pointing right at him, almost touching his neck.

The woman had her green eyes set on him, looking at him through a glare, obviously alerted by his approach. She was heaving, panting as she did not let go of her sight towards the man.

Oh shit, it's the first Miss! Who would've thought that she would hold a sword?! And that eyes, her glaring eyes, it's dangerous.

This made Owen tremble in fear. He could feel his knees shaking because he could feel the tip of the sword on his Adam's apple, one wrong swallow and he would've bled. That was a precise action, a swift move that even the knights were impressed with her ability to swing at such a pace.

"What are you doing in such an early hour, Felicia?" Someone from the crowd asked. Rachelle was awakened by her consciousness and blinked, dumbfounded by what she did. "Oh... I'm sorry for pointing at you, I felt danger was coming so I had to." She said, lowering the sword that was pointing at the knight's neck and smiling at him, innocently that is.

The knights who were shocked and in disbelief couldn't believe it. Is this really the young Miss that was rumoured to become the crown Princess whose attitude is far worse than a child throwing tantrums?

"I was training. It's the sword day to train a sword after all." Felicia answered as Alexander approached the crowd of knights. She was full of sweat, hoping she didn't smell bad. Clearly, she has been training for hours based on how wet she looks.
