She did as she instructed herself and allowed her eyes to pop open with fear as she pretended to stare down at his actions with wide orbs ready to be filled with tears - tears she had to muster somehow.

What could she think of that would make her cry that hadn't already happened to her by now? It had all been done - so she was far too jaded to dwell on something of the past to fuel her eyes. Perhaps the thought of the loss of Azier would help... He was the only constant in her life right now, so to lose him would be tragic.
