Chapter 28: I Challenges you all
At the Teleportation Gate, stood Nox, confused about how to get down, the teleportation is a high-level spell that use a complex mechanism, but only a select of people can use it to assure the safety of the City Lord's castle.
"Now how the hell do I get down from here?" asked Nox, he scratches his head trying to figure out how to get down, he activates his right Eye, and starts seeing energy flows around the Flying Palace, he gets amazed by the stunning magical circles that aren't seen to the naked eye, he almost figured out how the spell functions, and then, his eye's percepted something...
"How interesting.. Let's do this!!" said Nox, he jumps From the thousand feet height, falling down for 300 feet, and then a flying thing takes Nox away, It appears to be a Falcon ridden by someone.
"Are you crazy Nox??" asked a female voice.
"It's nice to see you guys!" said Nox, the trio on the Falcon, are Raunos, Aurora and Mister Falcon FànRòng.
"He looks so energetic, we were worried for nothing," said Raunos with a smile on his face.
"He was jumping from a 1000 feet high!!, that's too crazy!!" shouted Aurora.
"It's good to see that you're alright Master Nox," said Falcon.
"Nice to see you again mister Falcon, this beast of yours is very fast," said Nox.
"This magical beast is my childhood friend, She's called 'FlashClaw' a level 21 Falcon," Mister FànRòng's contracted beast is from the Blue Lightning Falcon race, it's a blue winged beast that can go at lightning speed and launch lightning attacks, beasts at level 21 are very different from the beasts of lower levels, this category is named 'Powerhouse Level', and they are usually tamed by strong cities, but Mister Falcon has one, which shows the strength and prosperity of The FànRòng Chamber Of Commerce.
"You like her so much that you're named after her race haha!" said Nox.
"That's a story for another day.. We heard that you were injured by the Dark Aura and we came to ask about you," said Falcon.
"General Godfrey said you're being treated at the castle, we saw him a few moments ago and told us that you woke up!" said Aurora.
"We were coming to see you, then we met Mister Falcon," said Falcon.
"Thank you for worrying about me..." said Nox.
The beast flies to the Oni dorms, to put down the three, and they get off the beast's back.
"Master Nox and his friends, i'm happy to know you, if you ever need me, you know where to find me," said Falcon.
"Thanks mister Falcon," said Nox.
Aurora rubs the giant FlashClow's head, and the beast likes to be petted by Aurora.
"This contracted beast of yours is really smart and cute, Nox! come take a look,"
Nox approaches the beast, he raised his right hand to touch the Beast's beak, the Beast got back violently while looking at Nox.
"Ow ow FlashClaw!! Calm down, what's happened to you?" shouted Falcon, but FlashClow seemed threatened as if she saw a Beast of a higher race, she spreads her wings and is ready for a fight.
"What happened to her!!" shouted Aurora, she was terrified by the sudden change in the atmosphere, such a Beast can destroy half the City.
"FlashClaaw!! Why are you behaving like this!! Calm down!!" shouted Falcon, the Beast finally listens to her owner's command, and calmed down while keeping her distance from Nox.
"I'm sorry about what happened, I'll just take my leave," said Falcon.
The Beast flaps it's wings and flew away, Falcon leaves with FlashClaw.
Raunos noticed that the Beast was wary of Nox.
(There must be another reason why the Beast reacted like that, there's no way Nox would scare a level 21 Beast yet....) thought Raunos, and cleared his throat.
"Nox, your bad luck doesn't fail to surprise me," said Aurora.
"Haha! Magical beasts aren't safe after all, let alone it's a 'Powerhouse' level," said Nox.
"Powerhouse level? What's that!" asked Aurora.
"You didn't pay attention to General Godfrey's lesson!!? 'powerhouses' are Magical Beasts between level 21 and 24, while Magical Beasts from level 25 and above are called 'Calamities'" said Raunos.
"I always heard that our city has a powerhouse, could it be FlashClaw?" said Aurora.
"No, FlashClaw is mister Falcon's contracted beast, FánRóng Chamber Of Commerce is a neutral force, and they have a branch in every big City, so it can't be considered part of any city," replied Nox.
"Then what could be our Powerhouse?" asked Aurora.
"It's a tailed Fox, as for Blackwater City, it had a rare beast, It was not a Powerhouse level, but a Calamity one, a level 27 Dragon!" said Nox.
"What!!" shouted Nox.
"Aurora level 27 that's..."
"A Golden Star," said Raunos.
"Its power was at least 13.000.000," said Nox.
"Hold up, since when you know this much?Nox, you were always... Were..." said Raunos, Nox smiled and Raunos understood the sudden change.
"My.. No..Nox.. you regained your memories?" asked Raunos.
"Haha! just a little bit, Raunos, I remember Blackwater's life," said Nox.
"I'm happy for you Nox!!! This is worth a celebration!!!" said Raunos.
"What's going on? What am i missing?" said Aurora, Nox told Aurora about Blackwater's Calamity, and how he lost his memories, also that he gained part of his memories, and about his dead wife, but he didn't tell them she was an Elf.
"Whoah, congratulations Nox, I had no idea you were through all this!! And i'm sorry about your wife, but regaining your memories is indeed worth a celebration!!" said Aurora.
"And we'll have all kinds of tea and meat, Moroccan tea and meat taste amazing together you know!" said Raunos.
"Haha! guys let's do that after the mission alright?" said Nox.
"Sure bro, there's 3 days until the challenge you set with Aetos, you need to take some rest!" said Raunos.
"What do you mean i set it with Aetos? I challenged you all dumbo!" said Nox, and pointed his finger at Raunos and Aurora and he winked.
"Quit joking Nox..." said Raunos.
"I'm not joking, tell the others, 3 days later, I'll challenge you all, you better prepare for it!" said Nox.
"Are you kidding?" said Aurora, and then Nox disappeared, it was too sudden it left Raunos and Aurora's jaws drop.
"What did he just do..." said Raunos with his eyes wide open.
"Did he just... Vanish!!" replied Aurora.
"This time, He's putting the bar way too high, how far did he surpass us?!" asked Raunos.
"We better prepare, we wasted enough time already," said Aurora.
Raunos clutched his fists while thinking about how Nox got stronger.
At Aetos's room, she heard the news of the challenge.
"So he declares the challenge against all of us, how cocky of him!" said Aetos.
At the Thunderstrike Family manor, Valerius also received the challenge.
"He's a fun guy, can't wait to see what he's planning!" said Valerius.
At the Oni dorms at Lucia's room.
"You seem fired up Nox, I concealed my Mage identity just to be the leader of this party, entertain me well Nox, cause I won't hold back!" said Lucia.
At a high mountain at the back of the city, sat Nox in seclusion trying to grasp his new power.
"This is a good place to train, what a view, the flying Palace looks gorgeous from here!" said Nox.
(Alright let's get started, today when i was about to touch FlashClaw, he was wary of me, as if he encountered another beast, this is probably because of the Venomous Aura stored in my right hand tattoo...) thought Nox, he then summons his dagger "Nightmare".
This dagger has 3 active skills and 2 passive skills, worthy of being an 'SS Rank' Artefact, but the 3rd skill requires Mana, and Nox have a low mana pool since he's not a Mage, he can only use the other 2 active skills for now.
( I can't use this dagger against them after 3 days, they'll die if I do, but I need a strong skill to defeat them) he thought.
Nox activated his right Eye and focusedhis energy in the tattoo on his right hand.
"The dark area in my right hand has become clear, so now my punches will be deadly, aside from the Venomous Aura, there's a dark Aura that seems to be feeding on the venom, Nox is focused in his training, until suddenly a level 12 mountain rabbit appeared and skrieked.
Nox releases his killing intent, his eyes resembles that of a Python, the mountain rabbit halts and shakes in fear. And then Nox released the Venomous Aura from his right hand, the Beast explodes from the pressure.
"Woow!!! Wth just happened!!" said Nox, (This power, if I fuse my killing intent with the Venomous Aura, I can create a skill of my own!! It's interesting haha...)
Nox got the inspiration to create a powerful skill to make all his opponents shake in fear, and is ready for the challenge, but Lucia is preparing an even bigger surprise for him.
