Chapter 19: Chapter Nineteen: The Engagement Kiss.

Mr. Daniel was becoming worried that his son was only playing with him and the company. "Valentino knew he wasn't going to hold up with the party then why on earth would he accept this? I knew from the first day that all this about him and Alice was all a joke, just pretense. I knew it all along but was not so certain about it and now look what he has caused for me. I need to figure out how to explain this to the board." He was going insane right now. He had a lot of things and thoughts going on in his mind. He didn't know how he was going to explain this to all the nobles and businessmen who were all gathered here today just to honor his invitation to his son's engagement party and the shareholders of his company as well.

"Am so glad you guys made it and you look so gorgeous my dear."Mr. Daniel turned over to where his wife was headed only to sight Valentino and Alice right in front of the foyer. He smiled big and excused himself from the people he was with and went over to Valentino.

He sneaked up at Valentino and gave him a pet on his back, which made him turn slightly only to see his father standing right behind him.

"Hi Dad" He faced him fully. Mr. Daniel only smiled at him before dragging him away to greet the people who had been waiting for him.

"All you need to do is keep a good smile on your face, many have been waiting to see you guys. Am so glad you didn't disappoint me."Mr. Daniel explained to Valentino on his way dragging him to the shareholders and every other important guest that was here to greet him.

'My son is finally getting married and am sure you can now finally give him the contract in your company right.?"Mr. Daniel said to one of his guests while they discussed, Alice came over to where they all stood together with Valentino, she walked straight over to him and crossed her hand around his arm. As soon as she got there she drew the men's attention which made them stop what they were saying.

"Good evening everyone," Most of them nodded in response to her greeting while most of them went ahead to start asking questions and stuff. It was more like the questions were getting much and unfinished.

"Hello, ladies and gentlemen I would love everyone right here to gather closer with a round of applause so the party can commerce."Alice was so grateful to the person who had saved her from all the uncomfortable questions just now.

The party took off after the opening speech from Mr. Daniel and his wife, the welcoming of the couples of the day, and the announcement. Joyful claps and shouts were heard from the people immediately after they heard the news.

"Once again I would love to welcome every one of you who honored my invitation to be here, With a joyful heart I hereby announce the engagement of my son Valentino Frost to Alice Greenhood, please, Can you two come up to the stage for the people to see" An act of applauding kicked to set while Valentino and Alice climbed the stage.

"I thank everyone for being here and I promise to do better in the future. I mean now that I have a responsibility to hold up for" Most men laughed at the lame joke and gave him another round of applause just as he descended the stage after his little speech.

Mr. Daniel made the stage open for any congratulatory speech immediately after his speech, followed by congratulatory speeches from different companies and people to the newest couples in town. The party went on and on, the slow music was held up for the couples to show a few steps, so the center of the hall was opened and the populace shifted out of the way to give space to the couples to dance.

Valentino and Alice took the ground and kicked off their slow dance"Now remember the no touching rule. I know at this juncture we are anticipated to kiss once the dance finishes off but then again I will do the kissing so try your best not to kiss back or better still, HOLD YOUR ORGE." Alice whispered into Valentino's ears.

"Oh please just shut the f**k up"He spoke out coldly in Alice's ear which sent goosebumps yet again to her skin" Why does he give me this effect" Alice couldn't help but think out loud.

"Excuse you.?" Valentino questioned. Alice bent her head in shame not knowing if he heard her. The song was slowly coming to an end which kept an alarm on their heads. Seconds passed and the song ended the crowd cheered on them and just to keep the show going Alice had to Place her lips on Valentino's which made the crowd more excited and more cheers came up. Valentino held back his urge to kiss Alice back knowing that at this point the lips were his, he just couldn't wait any longer for this to stop." F**K '' he let out before cutting his tongue into Alice's mouth in search of hers and once he caught them he explored them like nothing else mattered right now. It was more like the crowd had disappeared, the noise was moved far away like something was hauling them to a distance and the empty hall was now left with Alice and Valentino on each other's arm.

Alice was stunned immediately when Valentino took in her lips. She did want this to stop but at the same time" what could she do about it?"Alice thought to herself. She had many things coming to mind not until Valentino took off the last patience in her and anesthetized deep into her mouth and sucked on her lower lips as if he had never had a taste of her lips before. Alice at this moment was left with no other option than to kiss him back and she did.

Loud music brought Valentino back to his senses he opened his eyes only to find out that they were no longer the only ones standing on the dance floor, so he pushed Alice away from him slightly, and hesitated a bit before he dragged Alice away from the crowd, from everyone to a base room and shut the door right after they had fully accessed the room.

"What was that for?"Alice looked furious at Valentino though she wasn't sure if she was but she knew she needed to be.

"I can't even explain myself"
