Chapter 7: Tower of Manuals
"There is one thing you should never do to become stronger." Elder Gold Sword said looking at Yong Yunzi with a smile on his face. They are riding in a cloud while seeing the scenery around the Sect. Many people fly with swords, cranes, clouds, or any artifacts they use.
If they have seen Elder Gold Sword, they all stop and bow their heads. He was a legendary figure and also the younger brother of the late Sect Master. He was a prodigy with Heaven Grade Gold Spiritual Root. In his youth, he has managed to obtain an inheritance that soars him through the sky that later on makes him the strongest.
"What is it, Master?" Yong Yunzi asked although she knew what he wanted to say.
She was sightseeing the Sect. This old version of the sect has little qi. Only when the Continental Wall and the reappearance of Heaven would the World return to where it was before. Full of Qi and an almost perfect Law that governs the World.
Although for her, it was little to those little sects in the surrounding, it was a Holy Land for Cultivation with a Saint as their backbone. When she faced her Heart Tribulation did she realize that she was too haughty and prideful that she was losing her own path and only trying to become like her Senior Brother.

The Nine Halls Mountain is a Sect that encompasses the Dao and nurtures every kind of talent. Because of that, they are renowned as a sect that is troublesome to fight with. They are also renowned as someone who would collect manuals all over the Eastern Continent.
They all have a disciple that practices Flame, Thunder, and any kind of elements. When they fight an outside sect with only one element as their base, the Nine Hall disciples would have a counter technique on it or even know how their Technique works.
Yong Yunzi remembered that with the advent of Heavenly Dao, all techniques had been enhanced. Their sect faced numerous sect extinction because of how valuable it had become.
The Cultivation Levels would also become complete. The 9th Level would open into the 12th Level but still hard for normal Cultivators to achieve. The 13th Foundation and the Supreme Dao Foundation is still regarded as a legend.
The disciples, Outer or Inner bowed their heads as a respect for someone great. Trial Disciples are given simple breathing techniques because they are not an inch allowed in the Tower Manual.
It was because they are only given a year to become Meridian Opening Rank 2 and if they fail, they become expelled and go down the mountains.
They have manuals in the Mystic Mist Peak but the Tower of Manuals is the top priority to see the vastness of it.
People have Uniqueness in them. They create techniques for themselves to complement that Uniqueness. They would use that technique to earn either Contribution Points or share the legacies that they have lived by publicly publishing that Manual.
"Your Senior Brother has read 3,000 manuals, 5 of which are Saint Grade. If that bastard had a clone, he would surely place it here and have it read until no Manuals are left to read." Elder Gold Sword said as they walked over. They have seen the scenery with shelves of Manuals. Large manuals that are larger than a door into smaller manuals that are smaller than the smallest book.
"Greetings, Elder Gold Sword." Both Master and Disciple have heard a voice, it was ethereal and cold but not emotionless. They then looked to see a beauty that was clad in white robes that could never see her curves. Her hair had been tied in a crown. Her beauty stands out even without doing anything.
"Filament Ice, it looks like you are also here." Elder Gold Sword nodded his head. The Sect Master and Filament Ice are of the same generation, meaning Gold Sword is their Elder.
The current Sect Master wanted to appoint Gold Sword as the Sect's Guardian God or Saint Ancestor but he refused because it was troublesome. He would definitely help the sect when it faced enemies though.
"Greetings, Great Elder." Greeted by a child with a white robe. She was the newest personal disciple of Nine Halls Mountain, Jing Yin.
"Greetings, Great Elder." Greeted by Yong Yunzi.
Yong Yunzi can address Filament Ice as only Elder because she had the same status as Filament Ice in Seniority but she would never do that because it is disrespectful.
It was also a way of correcting her embarrassing moments because, in her previous timeline, she addressed Filament Ice as only an Elder which she realizes is disrespectful and disregarding her position as a Great Elder.
Being respectful and being arrogant are different concepts.
She knew that just by regressing, she was affecting the fate of this world. She even had the hunch that there would be an anomaly that would happen. More catastrophic than the previous timeline.
Her memories are guidelines and not something she could actively follow through.
It was her first reason for trying to become an ignorant and clueless child. Second, she truly misses this kind of thing happening. When she becomes the Emperor reigning over everyone, she becomes isolated.
Even her closest friends and allies had a look of reverence but when it comes to her Master and Senior Brother, they looked at her like the first time they have seen her, only a little girl.
By becoming mature little by little, she could blend her true mature personality.
"You can choose your Manual hereafter. Follow your heart and it will appear." Elder Gold Sword said then Yong Yunzi bowed and waited for Jing Yin.
"Choose your Manual, as Elder Gold Sword said, follow your heart." Elder Filament Ice said while Jing Yin nodded in response and ran. Filament Ice could only shake her head because of how undisciplined this kid is.
"Elder, you have hit another jackpot." Filament Ice said while looking at the two.
There are teleportation devices that could travel them to different floors of this tower. Only Seven of them in fact because the Saint Manuals can only be used when the Nine Great Elders approved of it. Yun Haoran had that kind of privilege for the first time.
Elder Gold Sword could only nod his head while stroking his beard. 'She had that kind of personality but was controlled.'
He has high expectations that the kids are undisciplined and would only get in trouble. Because of his cultivation, he will not need to cultivate actively but to understand the nature of himself and the laws of the world to control it completely.
So he decided to go down the mountain and accept a disciple. It may also be a guide because of his Manual.
Those expectations had blown off when Yun Haoran came. He thought that this girl would be fierce and would get him into a lot of trouble but she is controlling it very well.
In Yong Yunzi's previous timeline, she had that fierce personality that would get Elder Gold Sword into happiness lecturing her and Yun Haoran's constant headache.

Yong Yunzi and Jing Yin are wandering through the seven floors. They are looking over millions of manuals.
"Manual of Ten Thousand Flame." Yong Yunzi had found a Martial art that suited her. A martial art that she chose even in the previous timeline. A 7th Grade Martial Arts with constant refining and tempering becomes a signature Emperor manual.
"Sister Yunzi, I felt that manual is calling me." Jing Yin said while looking at the manual with the cold attribute on it. She was accepted as a personal disciple of Filament Ice because of her rare mutation of Heavenly Grade Ice Spiritual Root. A wind and water combination.
The world had also seen mutated spiritual roots where two to three five elements had fused together to create these kinds of Elements. In fact, there are thousands upon thousands of spiritual roots existing between heaven and earth and they are waiting to be discovered.
The problem is that they are in 5th Grade Manuals and after Open Domain, would become useless.
"Get it, Sister. Believe in your heart and it shall be yours." Yong Yunzi said. The manuals calling its owner are not false. If you are destined for it, you can have it.
Some guys wanted to change it but in the end, they would get a hold of that manual to try them and then learn to love it. Like a swordsman from a young age but his calling is a spear. Or someone who wanted to be a martial artist but instead became an Alchemist.
She knows that Manual because it was also the manual for Jing Yin to become the Ice Empress, the third Emperor of their sect.
Avatar of Jaded Spiritual Ice. The user can summon an Avatar that can control the wind and water, the moisture of the surroundings, and call down rain and thunder. When she was in the Dharma Realm, the 9th stage of Cultivation, the Avatar shone when it fused with her own avatar making it one and the same.

Jing Yin and Yong Yunzi should not be friends this time around so Jing Yin is trying to read every single Ice-related manual from the first floor. Yong Yunzi said that Manuals themselves should choose so they are trying to hear the call of a Technique on them.
Yong Yunzi on the other hand is staying on the seventh floor trying to decipher a strong flame technique she could use. The Manual of Ten Thousand Flames is not her first choice but something else entirely.
Li Chao is on a stand off with three other guys. Those guys have a smirk on their faces while Li Chao, well he is Li Chao.
