Chapter 38: mission part 2
(A/N this was my first try in adding some mystery into the story so I would be glad for some advice in the comments and I was also I was very curious of what do you think is happening leave it down in the comment)
The trio cautiously followed the trembling village leader, their senses heightened and alert to any potential threat. The village seemed eerily silent, with an unsettling atmosphere hanging in the air.
As they walked through the narrow streets, the village leader nervously explained the strange occurrences that had been plaguing the town. Mysterious disease, unexplained disappearances, and an overall feeling of dread had gripped the once peaceful community.
Shoko, Satomi, and Geto exchanged glances, silently acknowledging the severity of the situation. Shoko took the lead in questioning the village leader, delving into the specifics of the curse activity and seeking any information that could guide their investigation."Where are those afflicted by the disease" shoko as the leader leads her into the nearest hospital but before that shoko turns to satomi and geto
"We need to assess the source of these curses and eliminate them to restore peace to your village," her tone firm and determined. "Wait!" Geto calls out to shoko "This is all very suspicious, I don't remember the existence of jujutsu and jujutsu high was that well to reach this remote let alone a non sorcerer village" Geto words was filled with suspicion "I going to lend one of my cursed spirit as a bodyguard" Geto then summons a small blue fire looking cursed spirit "this is a will o wisp the manage to come across throu-" "Kawaiiiii!!" Shouted by both of the cutting Geto's words and vanishing all tension in the air
As if being woken up from a slumber the wisp opens an small puppy likes eyes endearing the girls more to it satomi then looks at Geto directly at the face causing their lips to nearly touch and say "how did you even came across one this!?!"
"I want one as well please" satomi ask Geto with a pouting lips and big bright eyes causing geto's heart to rapidly beat "fine fine!! Here" Geto then summons another while simultaneously pushing satomi's face they then splits up with shoko going to those who are afflicted, satomi keeping a look out while Geto gets into the bottom of things
Satomi, with her keen six eyes, continued to scan the surroundings for any traces of cursed energy. Geto, ever the strategic thinker, analyzed the information provided by the village leader, trying to discern patterns or connections among the reported incidents.
As they approached the village center, a sudden gust of wind carried with it an ominous feeling. Geto tightened his grips
on his weapon ready for whatever challenges lay ahead. The village leader hesitated, fear evident in his eyes.
"Just a little further, the cursed site is near the shrine at the heart of the village," the leader stammered, pointing towards the center. "Thanks I have it from here" Geto intoned
Upon reaching the shrine, a dark aura enveloped the area. The atmosphere grew heavier, and geto could sense the presence of a powerful curse.
'It's a formidable curse, but we can handle it if we work together,' Geto thinks as he decided to return to shoko and satomi 'so let recount all of the evidence that we have. First is that there is a plague of disease the is ravaging this village, Second this village has knowledge of jujutsu or at the very least jujutsu high and Lastly the disappearance of the teams sent to here, I feel like I'm still missing something' a chill runs down geto's spine
