Chapter 6: Start with Happuvi (Part 2)
"Happuvi! Happuvi!" Happuvi stretched its short arms in protest.
I thought you was rich, but it turns out you're just a poor ghost. Don't delay me from going to a wealthy home, okay?
Nym, not having contracted Happuvi yet, naturally didn't understand what it was saying and didn't pay it any mind.
He thought it was just excited because its finally leaving this place.
The staff member smiled and replied, "I'm sorry, but Happuvis are not on discount right now. The demand for Elemons is high at the moment. However, I can provide you with a month's supply of Elemon food."
Supply and demand affecting the market; it seemed that this principle remained consistent across different worlds.
Nym said, "Alright, thank you!"
Upon entering the contract room, he immediately noticed a female staff member with a smile, holding a POS machine, waiting for him to make the payment.
"Hello, the total is 399,999. This includes a one-month supply of basic Elemon food, and here's your receipt."
Reluctantly, Nym paid the hefty sum of 400,000 EleCoins with full of tears.
Nym gently placed Happuvi in his hand and, with what he considered to be his friendliest smile, asked, "Would you like to become my Elemon?"
"Happuvi! Happuvi! Happuvi!"
Well, you've paid, so it would be a bit unfair if I didn't go with you
Happuvi bowed its round body in his direction... Or perhaps it nodded? It was a bit too round to tell at the moment.
Nym's hand involuntarily reached for the top of Happuvi.
And so, an agreement was reluctantly reached between them.
As Nym left the Elemon Store, and carrying the adorable Happuvi, he furrowed his brows slightly and asked, "It's a bit heavy. Can you go to the Beast Tamer Space?"
Upon hearing this, Happuvi's antennae shot up, and it gave Nym a mental retort.
"Happuvi! Happuvi!"
Your Beast Tamer Space is so small; do you want to squish me to death?
Now that Nym and his Elemon had formed a contract, he could understand Happuvi's complaints through mental communication.
He clenched his fist. Who said Happuvis were the most docile Elemons?
He held Happuvi with one hand and had to push a small cart with the other.
Inside the cart was a month's supply of Elemon food for it.
Nym tried to flag down a taxi, but when passing taxis saw his with all the Elemon food and the Elemon in his hand and were too afraid to stop.
The destructive power of Elemons was astonishing, and even the most docile ones couldn't be underestimated. Newly contracted Elemons might be difficult to control.
Nym looked like a novice Beast Tamer who had just obtained his Elemon, so naturally, no one wanted to take his as a passenger.
Happuvi's facial features were almost wrinkled together.
"Happuvi! Happuvi!"
Nym, I'm going to be sunburned!
"Shut up!" Nym decided to forgot about taking the taxi and began to walk in the direction of his home, pulling the small cart.
"Happuvi, Happuvi"
Nym is so mean!
Nym placed Happuvi on his shoulder and said, "Hold on tight!"
"Happuvi! Happuvi! Happuvi!!!"
