Chapter 8: Popeye in Disguise (Part 2)
It was time to think about how to get along with Happuvi in a friendly manner.
Could he win it over with love? Forget about it; it was entirely different from other Happuvis!
Nym slapped his forehead. Right, how could he forget that Elemons all desired to become stronger?
"Hey, Happuvi, do you want to become stronger?" Nym stared at Happuvi, regretting why he had to choose the one with the highest potential, even though the others looked much more docile.
Happuvi looked at Nym contemptuously.
"Happuvi?
Just someone like you? With that tiny Beast Tamer Space, you think you can make me stronger?
Stabbed.
So, it's because I'm weak?!
Indeed, without strength, there was no right to speak! He needed to strengthen his Beast Tamer Space as soon as possible; otherwise, he would always be looked down upon by this little one!
Nym cleared his throat. "Of course, within a year, I'll make you evolve, alright?"
One year; Nym was ready to spend the remaining 100.000 EleCoins including the savings he had saved all these years, to obtain Happuvi's recognition.
Now, to gain Happuvi's acknowledgment, he had no choice but to gritted his teeth and reluctantly part away with his savings.
"Happuvi! Happuvi Happuvi!"
Well... alright, I just wanted to motivate you to give me a bigger living space.
Nym clenched his fist. So, it was all just a trick? But it was somewhat good news; rather than, it merely looked down on him.
Throughout history, humans and Elemons had been in a hostile relationship.
Elemons were difficult to control for novice Beast Tamers, and every year there were nearly a hundred cases on Aqua Star where Baby Elemons attacked their Beast Tamers.
Although Elemons had integrated into human society in various ways, there were still incidents that made the relationship between humans and Elemons tense.
Therefore, the Elemon League issued regulations stating that anyone below the Elite level Beast Tamer was not allowed to contract a wild Awakening Stage or higher-rank Elemons. Even Elemon Stores only sold Elemon Eggs and Awakening Stage Elemons.
Nym initially thought these regulations were for monopolizing the Elemon market. But after witnessing the series of behaviors from the famously gentle Happuvi today, Nym suddenly felt that these regulations had a much larger purpose! His perspective was still too narrow!
"Don't make jokes like this in the future!" Nym grabbed a pillow from the bedside and threw it at Happuvi. He couldn't believe he was being looked down upon by a little one! So embarrassing!
"Happuvi~Happuvi!"
Alright, alright~ Nym, you have to work hard on your training.
Hearing these words, Nym felt like giving it a big punch. He had just opened his Beast Tamer Space and bought it, where did he find the time to meditate!
"Understood, understood. Please, as a well-known gentle Elemon in the eyes of the public, be a bit gentler and stop being so hypocritical! And no more throwing me!" Nym said.
What surprised him was that Elemons could also urge the Beast Tamers to meditate to provide a more comfortable space for themselves.
What Nym didn't know was that each Elemon had different personalities and temperaments. For Nym's Happuvi, a larger room looked comfortable, but whether it would actually enter it was another matter.
Nym hadn't forgotten what his mother had said in the morning; his father was going to cook for his in the evening to celebrate him becoming a Beast Tamer. To be precise, it wasn't his father who would be cooking but his father's Elemon!
Nym's father, Hatharal, had an Elemon named Mr. Wayangkuk, an all-around household-type caretaker. Thanks to its abilities, it was the first choice for many people in life-related occupations.
Officially, the highest level of type of Elemon can reach is only Beginner level with no combat talents or Moves.
Of course, the price was quite reasonable, and you could bring it home for just 20,000 EleCoins.
Nym carried Happuvi to the living room, turned on the TV, and took out some potato chips from the snack cabinet. Watching TV while munching on snacks was truly relaxing.
He even offered a piece of potato chip to Happuvi.
Watching funny scenes on TV, Nym and Happuvi couldn't help but burst into laughter.
The joy of lying down and relaxing was something only they could understand!
"Little Nym, is this your Elemon? It's so cute!" While Nym was watching TV, his father's voice suddenly came from the entrance.
He rubbed his forehead. When would his father stop having such a big reaction to cute things?
At this moment, his father had somehow walked over to Nym and lovingly cuddled and rubbed Happuvi right in front of him.
"Happuvi~"
Offcourse, Happuvi is so cute~
Nym was about to intervene, but to his surprise, Happuvi didn't show any signs of refusal. It just stayed close to his father.
It seemed this little Happuvi had a bit of vanity and liked to hear compliments!
"Dad! It's time to have Mr. Wayangkuk make a big meal!" Nym said loudly.
"That's right, I almost forgot. I came back to prepare dinner with Mr. Wayangkuk at home. It's also almost time for your mom to finish work; I'll go to pick her up." Hatharal said.
Nym nodded with a dark expression.
His parents were in love, while Nym was just an unexpected addition!
