The instructor lamented why such a talent was only born in this peaceful era when he could have been a great help during the great waring era when the humans fought against the elves.
In this world , Alacrya, there are 5 major races Elves humanoid beings who were one with nature and had high magic affinity who awakened to multiple elements and mostly had nature spirits as awakened companions they had pointy ears and were very beautiful,next were the Fairies they were just tiny elves with wings but unlike there appearances, they had a large capacity for violence and were extremley strong physically and despite the fact they couldnt awaken spirit companions , they had the ability to tame beasts. There also existed the under water folk like mermaids and mermen .they were capable of breathing under water and had fish tails. There powers were mainly water based and they awakened to under water beasts. They lived at the bottom of the ocean and had little interaction with the other races .
Other than humans , there also existed another race that were considered the most powerful, most ruthless ,most evil of all the races The ONI. Oni were no different from humans except that they had black blood incredibly tough bodies and it wasnt uncommon for them to awaken multiple elements the least was 4 and it was said that the last king had 8 .Oni had the ability to shift bodies btw human and a demonic form that recorded a boost in power on top of that , they also had spirit beasts and although they seemed a bit overpowered , they were so few in power that with the combined power of all the other races they wer defeated and had gone almost extinct. Before there were about 100,000 but now there were rumoured to be less than 10,000 in the whole world.
The reason they were ganged up on was because the other races feared there power and now with them out of the way , the remaining races were left alone but the humans were sly and had still reserved enough men that after the rest were weakened by the war with the oni ,they swooped in and attacked them leading to the great war and because of it , they now reined and had the largest civilisation and occupied the largest territory leaving the seas to the mermaids , the forests to the elves and the skies to the fairies.
Alacrya had a universal power ranking for all races and also beasts>
