Chapter 17: The child.
Grey pondered on what to do . It was a child so hid divinity interrupted him from refusing. However being in the spotlight with gods would endanger some certain people.
Other than that there was the godkiller seeking this child.
He was in a standstill, he didn't know what to do or rather didn't know how to proceed.
' Fuck it ' He thought as he stood up stirring awake May and Gwen.
" Argh , what a day " May muttered as she slightly grinned at Grey.
Meanwhile Gwen processed things slower. At first she was confused then memories started flooding her brain and she couldn't help but blush madly.
" We-we did that ?" Gwen asked with a deep blush.
" Of course darling, I have to say you're a monster in bed "
Smoke was now exiting her head.
Grey gave a smile as he wore his clothes.
" Am going somewhere for some few days" Grey said straight to the point.
Gwen's ears perked up.
" Why are you going?" Gwen asked. She hoped he wasn't trying to do anything stupid.
" Some child is in danger, she's very powerful and so are the people after her " Grey said.
" Do you want me to help ?" Gwen asked.
" No it would be better if you stayed here and took care of George and May . " Grey didn't want to tell her she would be a hindrance.
Gwen nodded with understanding.
" So when are you going?" May asked.
" In three hours time" Grey replied making May smirk.
Grey seeing May's smile knew what she wanted.
" Cuddle time" May said before jumping onto Grey .
Due to being taken by surprise he staggered backwards before regaining his balance.
Gwen watched as May hugged him tightly with a pout.

Grey was currently standing Infront of a cave and inside it it was glowing.
Cole took a deep breath.
" I guess it's time for me to be a hero. " Grey muttered before he flew into the cave.
Suddenly he found himself in a flower field.
A black man with Elf like ears and red eyes was using magic to till the land.
He then suddenly stopped and turned to Grey.
Grey had learnt how to use magic to tell someone's strength and this man was only 4 times as strong as any normal human being however something in his core told him if he messed with the elf like man he would die a dog's death.
The elf like man smiled warmly at him.
" Hello dear traveller , I can see you're quite tired " The man said.
" Would you like a cup of tea ?" The Elf like man asked.
Grey nodded. His hesitance was nearly gone seeing the smile of this odd man.
As they walked the Man asked Grey what his name was and what he was doing there.
" Am Grey , am looking for a child, specifically a girl. " Grey responded.
They reached a small wooden cabin. The man got in and brought out two cups of tea.
He placed them on a table situated outside the cabin where they could enjoy the shade yet experience the gorgeous environment.
He gave Grey a cup of tea as he took a sip of his.
" What's important with this child that you'd travel so far to look for her ?" The man asked.
" Well , my sister told me she's being hunted by gods. " Grey said.
He didn't know why he said that to a stranger but he was so relaxed with this man. It felt refreshing.
" Ah I see , so she's a threat to the gods . " The man speculated.
Grey gave a short nod.
" And why don't you hunt her too ? You're a god too aren't you?" The man asked.
Grey was startled. Although he asked that question, this man asked it in assurance. He knew he was a god from a glance.
" I don't wish harm upon a child. That's against my morals" Grey said truthfully making the man smile slightly.
" I like you. You travel so far just to save a kid , what a kindness " The man said.
Grey slightly smiled, a slightly bitter one.
" So what does this child look like perhaps I could help you " The man asked.
Grey recalled the image Phoenix had imparted on him.
" Her skin is orangish but has red eyes like you. She has white hair and is around 8 years old " Grey said.
* Crack !!! *
A shiver ran down Grey's spine when he sensed the slight anger from this man's expression.
The cup he was also taking had broken under his grasp spilling tea on the table.
However the anger on this man was quick to appear yet quicker to exit.
" Oh am quite sorry for my manners, it seems I still haven't let go of my urges " The man said with a smile.
" I see , so can you help me ?" Grey asked.
The man shook his head.
" Unfortunately I can't, this..... Person you're looking for is dead. She died 398 years ago " The man said.
This greatly surprised Grey.
" How did you know that ?" The man didn't respond.
" I am sorry traveller for your long journey here but such a girl is dead and there's no resurrection from her. "
Grey nodded and stood up .
He thanked the man and was about to go away when he remembered something.
" Before I leave, could you kindly tell me your name?" Grey asked.
" Oh my apologies, I'm Cole Kaari. Am the god of Harvest" The man revealing to be Cole said.
" It was nice meeting you Cole "
" Likewise Grey. "
Grey jumped off and took to the sky of this strange land.
He flew for a dozen of km before stopping.
' Yo Phoenix, the child's dead. Return me ' Grey thought.
There was silence for a while before an answer came.
" The child isn't dead , who gave you that absurd idea ? Go to this location" Grey was stunned not because of the information but because of how much he trusted a stranger to the point of believing his words without evidence.
' Does he have some kind of power to lower your defenses?' Grey thought and that very thought mad him shudder.
Meanwhile with Cole ••••
He was currently tilling his land when suddenly a ghost covered in flames appeared.
" My liege" It said prostating itself.
" Oh hi Jake , I told you to stop calling me that. "
" Never! My liege is my liege even if I'm freed. "
This made Cole sigh.
He took an apple from his garden using magic and gave it to the ghost.
" Have an apple Jake "
" Thank you my liege" He said as he happily ingested it.
His flames grew slightly stronger before returning to normal.
' So what brings you here " Cole asked.
Jake hesitated for a while.
" It's about the young miss " Jake said as he looked to Cole .
It seemed it hadn't fazed him.
" Yes , what about her ?"
Jake hesitated for a while
" The young miss.....
She has been possessed "
