Chapter 40: Amazon Lily
"Here, this is the vibrecard belonging to the current empress of Amazon Lily. The island doesn't have a magnetic field of its own and so, it is extremely difficult to create a log pose towards it. With this you should find your way, then hop on to Rusukaina, you know the island is barely visible on the horizon. Good luck, Vey-chan~".
Shakky handed him the way back home. Veyron knew he had to fly southwest but how wide the sea expanse was just that wasn't enough for him to find his way around.
"Is it okay for you to give me this?" He didn't even know who the current Empress of Amazon Lily was but this was clearly not something that should be handed over lightly.
"You don't need to worry... once you see her, just give it back to her".
He shrugged his shoulders and stored it.
"This is my vibre card. Hurry up and give me yours, brat. We may not have shared drinks but we're more than brothers already!" Rayleigh lunged on the boy's shoulders uncharacteristically, taking the vibrecard away from his hands.
It wasn't until the old man whispered something that Veyron realised his real intentions: "Next time tell me how you managed to conquer that cold woman, brat. You've got potential, even those sisters-".
'This bloke just wants to gossip!'
Even then the boy deigned himself -in all his almighty and hard-worked experience- to give Rayleigh a tip or two.
"The trick is in the tongue".

Before the aghast Rayleigh and confused Shakky could ask any further; Veyron took Youbi and made the Boa sisters levitate next to him, covering all of them with his invisible psychokinetic forcefield, ready for a high-speed flight.
"We're flying!"
Veyron snickered at their reaction, they looked like children who were experiencing a new world, and as matter of fact, they were.
"You have seen nothing yet, Marigold" Veyron turned around and waved his hand to his new older friends, "Rayleigh, Shakky! I'll come later to pick up my mother's wine!"
"Come and have a meal whenever you want, Vey-chan!"
Shakky sent some flying kisses while Rayleigh shook his head repeatedly, "Don't come again, naughty brat! you're corrupted!"
All he got was a slap to the back of his head from his wife for being 'cold hearted' towards the lovely, heroic and innocent boy that babes were delivered by the stork.

The sonic boos resonated in Sabaody with every human, pirate, marine and celestial dragon having their gazes drawn to the skies. Four flying objects overlapped with the sun momentarily, going faster than anything they'd have seen.
In a marine ship, Kizaru clenched his fist, there was a marine lady on his back, changing the bandages for new ones all over his bruised and swollen body. He had received the battering of his life, by a kid no less. His sight focused on the four flying objects and he instinctively knew who it was.
"We will see each other again, Veyron" His gaze held no resentment, only the challenging prospect of a good fight later on. He had learned his lesson, to not depend too much on his devil fruit as there was an individual in this world that could completely counter it.
Not too far away from him, Vice Admiral Aokiji was the same, although he hadn't received a harsh beating, he had been helpless to do anything while an underage boy destroyed his comrade. If it hadn't been for Garp's arrival, the operation would have been an utter failure. In fact, it was a failure... Dracule Veyron had accomplished his objective. He stalled them enough time for Fisher Tiger to free all the slaves.
All he knew for sure was that next time he saw that white-haired boy, he wouldn't underestimate him.

In order to reach Amazon Lily and Rusukaina, Veyron followed the vibrecard movement directions. While flying he thought about the fights he fought and the friends he made.
Rayleigh, Shanks and even Garp had given him their vibrecards, then the Boa sisters next to him that although weak, he knew who they would become in the future. Deep inside he rejoiced that he managed to save them because although the original story didn't divagate on the exact events that occurred during the night of the fisher tiger invasion, he did raise that with the amount of powerhouses that participated, it had been a massive event.
'Garp's presence would have changed everything'.
Little did he or even his mother know that Garp wasn't the only one, Admiral Sengoku was also supposed to be there, but he was stalled by Whitebeard.

Hancock, Sandersonia and Marigold were having the time of their lives. Veyron decided to entertain them and flew as high as he could. Flying in circles and doing pirouettes... the journey would take more or less an hour back and that was if he went top speed in a straight line. Since he was playing around, it was bound to take a bit more.
He avoided the Florian triangle that presented itself like a humongous cloud that covered a wide expanse of the sea, like a wall between the light and the darkness.
'There is no way I'm going in there...'
Instead, he flew south towards the calm belt and inspected the vibrecard that belonged to this supposed empress of Amazon Lily. Beneath in the distance, he saw the three islands. G1, Ennies Lobby & Impel Down.
There were marine ships all over the area... he assumed way more than usual since the wasp nest had been stirred with the invasion of Marie Geoise.
His gaze settled on Ennies Lobby, that island hovering above a gigantic hole was emitting an ominous energy that made him want to flee the area, he even felt a subtle magnetic pull.
'What could that be?'
Not willing to research it now, he flew high above while the girls laughed and had fun through the whole ordeal, inside his crystal-shape forcefield gravity was 0 due to the free fall effect, they spun and played like never before, aware that not everyone had the opportunity to experience something wondrous like this.

The journey took a tad bit more than two hours. He even took them underwater once they hit the calm belt and the girls watched the countless sea kings, and creatures under it. They knew there were sea kings below, but they never knew there were so many and of all kinds. The forcefield served to repel not only air but also water.
'This is amazing!' Hancock watched everything with eyes shaped like stars, just like her sisters. She then looked at Veyron who was calm and collected through all this, Youbi casually floating by his side.
To her, he didn't look like a seven-year-old boy. He was like a unique existence that could pull out the greatest of oddities.
'He can go anywhere he wants, above the sky or under the sea… he's truly free'.
A part of her deeply envied that freedom, especially after years of having hers plundered away. But on the other side, she rejoiced that they were friends and she was sure if she asked him again to take her on a journey, he wouldn't say no.
In the midst of a heart tied with dark ropes, Hancock felt true freedom for the first time.
Veyron's eyes widened when at some point the girls all hugged him.
"Y-You don't need to hold onto me".
The problem wasn't that he was being held. The problem was their chest, especially Sandersonia's massive soft pillows!
"But I'm scared of the heights~"
'You weren't afraid for the last two hours!'.
Marigold and Sandersonia held onto his sides with wicked glints, they liked whenever he got shy all around them. He was unlike the disgraceful world noble kids who would undauntedly step on them like rubble. Instead, he felt genuine and showed shame at anyone's display of affection.
Little did they know the reason the profane boy blushed wasn't shame.
Soon enough the sight of a wondrous island entered their sights, it had several stone-like snakes entwining and the writing 'Kuja' firmly plastered in it.
Amazon Lily was an island filled with women in a matriarchal and meritocratic society where the majority of women had no idea whatsoever what a man was. In order to reproduce, the strongest ones were allowed outside the island where they'd be impregnated before coming back and giving birth, as per their culture, every time they'd give birth to a female instead of a male.
*BOOOOMMMM!!*
The ladies of the island heard an explosion come from far away and stood on alert, The situation wasn't the best for the past few years and they were more triggered than usual by the commotion.
"What is going on!?"
"Are we being invaded?!"

Veyron slowed down and landed close to the island's shore. What received him was a whole unit of women wearing snakes as bows and lances. They thought of him as a threat until the woman standing in front recognised the three girls that walked forward.
"Hancock, Sandersonia, Marigold!"
"Chief Shawty!"
They all hugged each other and clamoured their wonderful reunion while to the side some of the girls pinched Veyron with their spears. They had never seen anyone with such odd features. Dark skin, white hair, red eyes... he was a kid too and he was levitating. Let alone wondering what country he hailed from, they wondered if he was even from the same planet as them.
'Perhaps he comes from the stars?'.
"And who is this boy!?" One of them couldn't hold herself back and pinched Veyron's butt lightly.

"Hey!" He rubbed his bottom with grief, Was this supposed to be a sexual assault?
"Boy, males are not allowed on this island. Leave this place if you don't want to-" The 'chief' Shawty, was still hugging Hancock but whenever she placed her eyes on Veyron, her gaze went all cold and detached.
"Please stop, he's our saviour!" The three sisters stood in front of him protectively and only then had the Kuja guards lowered their weapons.
A long conversation took place in which Hancock and her sisters explained everything, turns out they were members of the Kuja Pirates and in order to join the crew, they had to be stronger than the rest. It was a meritocratic society after all. But that didn't mean that they'd allow Veyron in just because he was their friend.
"The three of you come. Boy, wait here for a moment, I'll call Elder Gloriosa and the Hebihime, they shall decide what we're going to do with you".
