Chapter 12: CHAPTER 12

Alex landed again with a smirk on his face to the surprised expressions of the straw hat crew who had to take a few seconds before they recovered.

Are you going to teach us? Great, tell me how to fly. (Luffy)

Luffy's enthusiasm was evident, as he could already imagine himself flying through the sky, but he was the only one simple-minded enough to accept what Alex said without suspecting some ulterior motive.

Why would you teach us, what's the catch? (Sanji)

Hahaha, there is no catch. (Alex)

Like we would believe you? (Sanji)

Sanji, I'm serious. Take it as payment for taking me to the Grand Line. (Alex)

What does it matter, Sanji? I want to fly through the skies. (Luffy)

In the face of Luffy's enthusiasm, Sanji could not refute again. Nami and Usopp were also suspicious of Alex's motives but said nothing, but it was Zoro who looked more suspiciously at Alex.

It was typical of Zoro to be the most suspicious of the crew. This trait had been noted on several occasions in the original work, an example would be when Robin joined.

At that time everyone somehow accepted Robin joining with some tricks to cajole Nami and Usopp, but he was the one who was always vigilant against her, or at least at first.

Alex didn't miss Zoro's look of distrust, as with his Observation Haki it was easy to notice the murderous intentions towards him, but he paid no attention to it and concentrated on the others.

Although Alex intended to teach them some of the Rokushiki powers, he also knew that not all of them had the qualities to learn them. In fact, only Luffy and Sanji would manage to learn some of them in their own way.

For this reason, Alex changed his initial idea and preferred to teach them skills more focused on their qualities. With quick thinking, he decided to teach Luffy to use his Second Gear ahead of time and Sanji his Sky Walk and Diable Jamble.

Those were the easy choices, but the other three were a bit more complex. Zoro as a swordsman had his own style and teaching him the Hiten Mitsurugi-Ryu techniques was not adequate, it would take too much time.

Certainly, Mihawk could train him in the original work, but from what little Alex knew of that training, he did not teach him techniques, but to use his Haki and increase his strength, which again, would take a long time and was not an option for Alex.

When he was in a dilemma, Alex remembered something he had in his inventory. During his 10 years with the system, he acquired several powers and techniques that he did not use, as he found them counterproductive and one of these was the arm of Nen of Sadaso from Hunter x Hunter.

When he received it, Alex thought it was a great power, but then he discovered that for One Piece characters who could use Haki, it was useless and it was not as if he received the ability to use Nen, he could only use Sadaso's Nen arm, so he never learned it.

Alex believed that, if Zoro used this power, he could be more versatile in his three-sword technique. For Alex, Zoro is one of his favorite characters, but he always had a disagreement with using the sword in his mouth.

Make no mistake, he thought it looked cool and all, but realistically, it was useless. At first, Zoro would attack with his sword in his mouth, but then it became a prop to power up the attack of his other two swords, he believed that was a huge waste of power.

Having decided that, Alex turned to the monstrous trio of straw hats and began to explain his training plan to them. His goal was to lay the groundwork and let them figure out how to polish it themselves since he didn't plan to stay with them for long.

Well, for you three I have just what you need. As for the beautiful Nami and the lying Usopp, you will have to wait a while. (Alex)

Who's a liar bastard? Just be thankful I didn't call in my 8,000 men to finish you off. (Usopp)

Alex just laughed at Usopp's response and decided to ignore him by focusing on Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji. The last two were on guard, but Luffy was jumping with excitement wanting to learn how to fly, but Alex would have to disappoint him.

Luffy, your characteristics are not suitable for learning the Geppo, I'm sorry, but for the time being you won't be able to fly. (Alex)

What?!!!!? (Luffy)

As a simple-thinking person, Luffy got angry and started to ask for explanations, but Alex was firm. Seeing that Alex would not budge, Luffy became discouraged and decided not to learn anything.

Alex was helpless against Luffy's behavior and couldn't think of anything else to do but tempt him, so when Luffy was leaving for his special seat on the boat, Alex used Soru to disappear from everyone's sight and appeared in front of him.

Everyone was surprised to see him disappear and appear, even Luffy who had not seen him disappear. Before he could say anything, Alex disappeared again and appeared at the top of the ship's mast.

What do you think Luffy, wouldn't you like to learn this technique? (Alex)

Like a little boy, Luffy's answer was obvious and so Alex managed to convince him. Again in front of them, Alex began to explain to Luffy how to learn the Second Gear.

Although in the original work, it was not explained very well how this technique worked, Alex intuited that what Luffy was doing was pumping blood at high speed intensifying his devil fruit powers.

Although the explanation was simple, Luffy didn't understand it, so Alex wasted a lot of time with him. Alex didn't know if his guess was correct, but he thought that with the battle intelligence Luffy possessed, he would find a way.

When he was done with him, he talked to Sanji. Since he knew the Geppo, he was able to give Sanji the specific details of how to use it. As for his ability to create flames, well Alex attributed it to the friction he made when spinning on his feet.

Although they later explain that it was somewhat due to his body modification, Alex believed that this only helped him to withstand the flames, not create them. Sanji was much more assertive than Luffy and got the idea right away.

It's not fair, why can Sanji fly? (Luffy)

Everyone has their advantages. Stop complaining and train. (Alex)

Alex certainly laughed at Luffy's stupidities when he watched the anime and manga, but dealing with him in person was annoying, so, imitating Garp, he hit him with his love fist and forced him to train.

The last one was Zoro. Alex pulled a card from his inventory containing Nen's arm ability and handed it to him. Zoro looked suspicious and couldn't be blamed, but Alex told him.

This is a skill that will allow you to create an invisible arm, with it you can take your three-sword technique to a higher level. Certainly, it will be difficult to adapt to a new style, but I think you will be more powerful. (Alex)

Zoro was still vigilant and did not want to use the card delivered by Alex, and the latter noticed that distrust, so he could only let out an annoyed sigh and use the last resort he had against him.

I guess you'll never get over Mihawk and keep your promise then. (Alex)

Alex's words touched a nerve and in his anger Zoro activated the card and learned the technique, without even wondering, how Alex knew about his promise with Kuina.
