Chapter 98: Chapter 098: The Demise of Stick (Bonus Chapter)

Following Charles's instructions, Aoda immediately sprang into action. Neither the soil above nor the concrete on top could impede the progress of Aoda, and soon a large hole leading straight to the surface was created.

Due to its location, the hole created by Aoda was not far from the previous passage. Thanks to his keen sense of hearing, Stickman noticed that something was amiss underground right away.

By the time Stickman arrived with his twenty members of the Chaste, the hole had already been opened.

The massive body of Aoda emerged from the hole, and upon seeing the enemy in front of it, it swung its tail to take out a large group of people in an instant.

Only Stickman managed to evade Aoda's attack thanks to his extraordinary agility and acute hearing.

After eliminating a significant number of enemies at the passage's entrance, Aoda immediately returned underground.

"Lord Charles, I've just opened the passage, and the enemy has already detected it. Should I go up and deal with them?" asked Aoda.

Charles glanced at the others and said, "Shizune, Sasuke, Lee, you come with me to confront the enemy above."

"Ginny, you take the remaining people and climb onto Aoda. After we go up, Aoda will take you to the surface."

Upon hearing Charles's orders, both Ginny and Aoda agreed without any objections.

However, Shizune was surprised by how obedient Aoda was. She knew that Orochimaru's summoned beast, Manda, was known for its ferocity.

Every time it appeared, it required a hundred sacrifices. It was impossible for such a beast to let non-ninja individuals ride on it.

After giving instructions to everyone, Charles didn't hesitate any longer and said, "Let's go!"

In the next moment, the four of them vanished with a whoosh, heading towards the passage above.

Seeing the four of them leaving, Ginny began to organize the remaining people to climb onto Aoda's body. To Aoda, the presence of more than twenty people climbing on its back was inconsequential.

As Charles and the others burst out of the passage, Stickman and his subordinates had already arrived.

Stickman immediately ordered, "Attack!"

Dozens of assault rifles started firing, creating a crude metal storm of bullets pouring towards Charles and the others. Several even threw grenades.

"Ratatat!"

"Boom! Boom!"

The sound of gunfire from the assault rifles and the explosions from the grenades echoed through the construction site.

However, when the smoke cleared, there were only four broken wooden stakes on the ground. Charles and the others had used substitution jutsu to evade the attacks.

With a decisive battle between both sides, Charles and Sasuke launched powerful fire-release jutsu.

"Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!"

Two enormous fireballs, each over ten meters in diameter, were launched directly at the Chaste members. In an instant, more than twenty enemies were turned into charred corpses, dying on the spot without even a chance to scream.

Rock Lee didn't hold back either. He unleashed the "Drunken Fist" and "Leaf Hurricane" successively, sweeping through a large area. Anyone who came into contact with him died instantly or was sent flying. The scene was filled with cries of agony.

Shizune, on the other hand, skillfully wielded her kunai as she moved around, killing one person with each appearance.

Originally a group of a hundred, the Chaste now numbered around sixty. Faced with the massacre by Charles and his team, they couldn't offer any effective resistance.

At this moment, Stickman shouted, "Who are you people?"

Evidently, the strength demonstrated by Charles and his team left Stickman unable to believe that they were the ones he sought revenge against. From his knowledge, neither Charles nor the elder of the High Table had this level of power.

Charles and his team paid no attention to Stickman's shouts and instead increased the pace of their slaughter.

Stickman saw the situation and attempted several times to attack by using sound to locate his targets, but he did not succeed. Charles's team was just too fast.

In just over a minute, all of Stickman's sixty Chaste members had been killed, leaving only him standing with a long staff.

Stickman's survival was not due to his strength or evasion skills, but because Charles wanted him to be the last to die.

Sensing that he was surrounded, Stickman did not attack. He knew it would be futile; his opponents were too fast, and he couldn't react in time. Instead, he said in resignation, "Who are you people?"

Charles had a hint of amusement on his face and replied slowly, "You attacked us with poison gas grenades, and now you're asking who I am?"

Hearing the unfamiliar voice, Stickman was uncertain. "Charles Doyle?"

"Impossible, the Elder of the High Table couldn't have this kind of power. How could the other eleven be on equal footing with you?"

Listening to Stickman's words, Charles was both surprised and amused, thinking, Is this old guy trying to sow discord already?

Although I also think those people aren't qualified to be on equal footing with me.

"Stickman, I know who you are."

"I want to ask you one thing now. Are you seeking revenge for your disciple, or is someone manipulating you from behind?"

Charles wanted to know whether Stickman's actions were his own decision or if there was someone else pulling the strings. If there were more enemies behind him, they needed to be rooted out.

Stickman, standing in place, didn't hesitate and immediately replied, "The members of the Hand told me that your subordinates killed my disciple."

Charles looked at Stick seriously and said slowly, "It seems like you came here on your own accord."

A kunai was thrown by Charles, and its tremendous force pierced through Stickman's heart from behind, sticking into the ground.

Seeing Stickman fall to the ground dead, Charles said with disdain, "Old man, trying to shift the blame, huh? Did you really think I wouldn't know the connection between the Chaste and the Hand?"

However, Charles realized that he had killed Madame Gao and acquired the dragon bone buried in Hell's Kitchen. So, the Chaste would come after him sooner or later.

After some contemplation, Charles thought that there might still be some dragon bones in the possession of the Hand. He wondered how much value they would have if he could recharge them into the system.

It seemed like he needed to find an opportunity to take the initiative and eliminate them.

Approaching Stickman's body, Charles retrieved his long staff and said, "It looks like I'll have to follow that one-eyed dragon's example and create a trophy collection room."

"The first item is Mark 1, and this Billy Club can be considered the second item."

As Charles spoke, Aoda emerged from the ground with the remaining people.
